I went to the doctor today and had a normal visit for me. Just pee, weigh, bp, fundal height, and hb check. I get Sonos to measure my cervix usually, but everything feels good my OB said it's not necessary unless something changes. It was interesting bc I don't think I have ever had a fundal height measurement bc of being high risk and getting Sonos.
Slightly freaking out because my new doctor told me that if I don’t go into spontaneous labor by 39 weeks that I’m basically guaranteed another cesarean, and that only gives me like 5 more weeks to get everything ready. DH and I will be switching cars since he has an SUV and I have a sedan. The catch is that he has to get his car fixed first. So I’m hounding him about calling his usual repair guy so we can get this taken care of and I can install the car seat base. Okay, maybe I’m more than “slightly” freaking out
@DDRRT1982 Yeah, I talk about this a lot with nurses since I'm high risk for preterm labor, and they almost always say, take it easy the next few weeks and then you can just act normal once you hit 35 weeks because that's "late preterm" and not a big deal. I hope we all make it!
I’m finally taking down the Christmas trees... don’t judge. I had grand plans to do it while MH was at work until I remembered that my toddler loves playing with the ornaments and that this year we have already sacrificed approximately 8 ornaments to the combination of tile floors and a curious toddler. Lol!
Also the mini crib came in and I ordered dressers this weekend. So my deadline for painting two bedrooms and getting a big boy room and a nursery together is now the first weekend in February. This shiz is getting too real. ((Cue my mini anxiety attack because I’ve basically been taking my whole house apart and minimalizing it and organizing it for months now and we are still in the phase of it’s worse before it gets better. Lol!))
My friend that got induced twice last week had her baby this morning naturally! DH and I are going crazy nesting. Saturday we decided we didn't like our sectional anymore(and it's 10 years old and not so comfy) and went and bought a new sofa, loveseat, ottoman, side table, headboard and footboard, night stands, and a new daybed for the nursery. We leave next Sunday for Mexico and are both hoping to have things mostly done before we leave so it's smooth sailing when we get back.
The nesting...it's so real right now! I thought I would have time to miss working. Nah. I'm whittling away ever so slowly at this To-Do list and it's so satisfying! Also, I've been watching a show called "Call the midwife" on Hulu and it's major inspiration to get things done watching all the "births". Odd, I know.
When you wake up at 2am thinking you peed yourself, but it’s just a pool of blood. Baby’s heart rate is great, no pain on my end... just a lot of blood that my husband has to clean in the morning.
@Cowboycorgi - Oh no! I’m so sorry! That’s a terrifying way to wake up. Hope all is okay! @cford08 - I went through that show a few months ago. Loved it! Although every once in a while, too many complications happened and I’d think, “Mayyybe not the best to watch this while I’m pregnant...”
I’m admitted for a few days, slight placental abruption is their guess. Softball sized clot hanging out on my cervix with a trickle of blood or gush if I stand up. Baby scored an 8/8 on BPP so no c section for now... but my doctor was getting ready to scrub in. She is consulting with the MFM to see what the possible future might hold for me, beside 72 hours at least of hospital bed ‘rest’
@Cowboycorgi Imma go ahead and assume everything is going to be great. So let's talk about how you're going to entertain yourself for the next few days. Your hospital have wifi? You watching Netflix? Hulu? Amazon? What shows are you going to watch? Maybe a coloring book? I always need to be doing something with my hands.

Thank you, everyone! @heatherdubrow, seriously! I don’t even know how I’m going to handle this kid as a teen, because they must LOVE drama! I’m calling baby my drama llama... but I read llama llama several times a day, so maybe I’m giving baby ideas.
@kiki75, I forgot to grab my laptop on the way out the door, so it’s phone Netflix or cable until my husband gets off work tonight. I crochet, so that is keepin my hands going, with suduku games and Pokémon. As for shows I plan on finally watching Handmaids tale, and The Crown. The bright spot about being admitted is not having to cook, and a tv binge fest! Also, not having to watch any kids shows. But I miss my daughter already
@Cowboycorgi what a scary thing to wake up to! Positive thoughts to you and babe. Btw, I started watching The Handmaid's Tale this a.m. and it's super good so far, that'll be a good one for your binge-fest!
@Cowboycorgi this LO has definitely been keeping you in your toes this whole pregnancy. Praying for you and I’m so glad that it’s not an emergency C section right now.
@Cowboycorgi dang lady! I'm so sorry that you went through something so scary, but I'm glad you're being watched and that you're in excellent hands. Make sure to keep us updated!
Waiting fo stuff to be delivered is really annoying. I don't want to start anything new in case they get here... they are supposed to be here any time between 11 and 2... it is now 1:23. Also I found the Pottery Barn Emerson changing table for sale at my local resale shop for $100 and it looks brand new. Worth the price?
to you @Cowboycorgi I hope your drama llama chills out and you get to go home soon....
And if you find yourself needing any shows to watch to get your mind off the bedrest, check out Bob's burgers! Omg, that's been my bedrest go to when I feel myself getting all moody.
@megpeg I just don’t do a changing table... I’ve always changed DS wherever is convenient... the floor, the couch, the chair. *shrugs* If you like a changing table, I will say that Pottery Barn is good quality and a lot of their nursery items are Green Gold certified as far as chemicals, etc.
@mdfarmchick we were going back and forth on having one. I wasn't going to but then I am thinking between the dog, the other two kids, and having new furniture this time I may need something. I also wasn't thinking to have cloth diaper storage underneath that might also be helpful... but the nursery on the other hand It's $100 for something I am only going to use for maybe six months.
@megpeg for $100 I'd go for it. I liked having a dedicated changing space with a storage area with DS. Worst case scenario, if you don't use it, you could re-sell it.
@chasingroygbiv, I’m 33w3d now, but baby passed all bpp 8/8 And has now received both steroid shots so the doctor said baby cleared the 34 week threshold (meaning they would treat baby like a 34-36 seeker instead of a 28-33week baby) practing breathing is the big difference I believe.
@cford08, bobs burgers is one of my all time favorite shows! I will definitely rewatch because it always makes laugh, and I could use that right now. Thanks for the suggestion<3
So I dunno how many of you are on desktop but there is a user who is always on the leaderboard - mileswithmyles. I know it means Miles with Myles and Myles is probably her son/husband but every time I read it in my head I go "Miles with my les" like she has a lesbian bff she does everything with.
Also: It's making me irrationally irritated that the old randoms keeps being updated. I have problems.

Edited because TB is silly.
