Re: 3rd Trimester check in week Jan 8th
Was supposed to have ob appointment last Thursday and then the awful snow and ice showed up on Wednesday and they closed the office until today and now i am currently awaiting a call to know when i will be seen.
Feeling huge and like the babies are all cramped in there. I have been having alot of Braxton Hicks and they are more uncomfortable than my last pregnancy.
I feel i have the basics and all but just wish i had the energy to get more organized..
28 weeks today with one baby, gender unknown. Due date is set for April 2nd, which feels so far away, but I know it will get here soon enough.
I am scheduled for a regular OB appointment and my glucose test on Thursday, hoping everything comes back ok with that test. Not really looking forward to it, as I've heard it isn't very pleasant.
Overall I can't complain too much as I've been feeling pretty good lately. Enjoying it while I can, as I know things are about to get uncomfortable.
QOTW - I feel pretty prepared for the baby already. I'm a huge planner so am probably ahead of the game. I have the nursery all set up and decorated, minus a few things. I have all the major purchases done, except for our car seat/stroller, which I know my MIL bought us for our upcoming baby shower. We got a ton of baby stuff for Christmas, so got everything set up and prepared over the holidays. Earlier than needed, but like I told my husband, we had the time and I was in the mood to do it, so might as well before I lose energy or get too big to be building furniture, etc.
I have 2 appointments this week. On Wednesday is my 3 hour glucose test and then Thursday is my first appointment with the MFM. Hopefully the MFM will find that the tech at the OB's office measured wrong and the twins aren't as behind in their growth as the ultrasound showed last week.
The girls are super active still which does give me some comfort as to how the twins are doing. Other than that, the biggest issue I've started having is a lot of back pain and pain when I walk. I hadn't really understood when people said it felt like they had been kicked in the crotch, but now I do lol.

I am 34w3d with baby girl. I have no appointments this week. I do need to go to the lab and do some blood work. The state of Illinois decided that they will require an HIV test in the first and 3rd trimester for every pregnancy starting Jan 1st. So know I have to go do a 3rd trimester HIV test.
QOTW: I think I'm getting there as far as ready for baby. We have repainted our room/nursery and the wall mural thing is all done. But I'm having issues with a dresser for her cloths/diapers so that's all stacked in the crib. I have a car seat but it's a hand me down so I'm unsure if I'm kewl using it. And it's not installed we kind of rotate between 3 cars depending on the twins neeeds and not really sure which car to put it in. We are scheduled for the c-section so as long as she doesn't come before then I think we are ok lol.

@thucks boo having to get extra blood work done. Maricopa county requires a first, second, and third trimester syphilis screenings as well as one when you are admitted into L&D for delivery. Thankfully I'm a county over so I'll just have to do the one at delivery in addition to the one I did in the first trimester.
I completely spaced on the QOTW, lol. I don't really feel prepared at all, lol. Still trying to get the nursery cleared out, but we do have our stroller and our car seats and I know my parents are gifting us our cribs once we have the nursery cleared out. We'll have our basics, I just wish I could get it all put together now lol.

I got so much done last night. Nesting mode is in full swing. The room and crib is baby ready. I soaked all my old cloth diapers last night and washed them this morning, DH put them in the dryer today. I'll stuff them and put them away tonight. I'm so ready to do this. Although my baby sprinkle/shower is Saturday and I'll have to figure out where to put all those goodies.

@MMD1986 welcome to the third trimester!
@thucks that stinks you had to have the extra blood work and tests.
@amanning2011 I also had that 'kicked in the crotch' feeling for the first time this week, no fun lol!!
@momma6angels11 sorry the braxton hicks are feeling more uncomfortable. I'm still not sure if I've been having those or not, I get occasional tightness though. How do they feel to you? Baby boy has been sticking his butt out way to the side for the past few days and that's starting to feel uncomfortable too.

I found out I failed my 1 hour glucose test yesterday and have to go in for the 3 hour on Monday. Really hoping I can pass that one.
@mmd1986 Thanks
I still have to figure out what I'm wearing, lol. Good luck on the 3 hour test, I had to take it, too.
