How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? I’ve been feeling better this week pregnancy wise aside from this wicked cold I can’t seem to kick. My boobs are still hella sore but no nausea really and I have some energy back.
Rants/Raves? Vents? I honestly don’t have very many, this is new for me lol
Any appointments this week? I had my appointment yesterday and baby bean is measuring right on track for EDD of 8/17
GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? Oh man. So I decided to try tinder dating (which is actually how I met my boyfriend so it’s not all bad) but I had gone on a few dates with this chiropractor and we had been hitting it off pretty well. I was excited the cubs were in town to play the giants so I got us tickets. My date decided drinking a whole water bottle full of vodka on the train ride there was a good idea. He was black out drunk before we even got to the park. We stopped at Starbucks on the walk from the train and he proceeded to spill the entire cup on the table/floor. I cleaned it up and when I turned around he was gone. I had to call him and go find him a block away. We were standing in line to get in to the game and he told me he loved me (this was like date 4). We finally got to our seats and I was so just over it. He said he was going to get us beers and left. He couldn’t find his way back to our seats and after 24 phone calls of trying to explain where I was I said meh, eff it. I had his keys and train ticket home in my backpack so I left them at lost and found and walked back to the train station alone.
August 18 Siggy Challenge: April Showers
I’m 7weeks,5 days. Still a blueberry I think.
I’m slightly nauseous but mostly exhausted. I have NO motivation to do anything. I just want to be on the couch or in bed all day. It’s terrible.
DH has surgery on Wednesday to get his tonsils out. It’s a rough recovery for adults, so despite being exhausted/nauseous, everything is going to fall on me for a week or 2 (we have a 3yo and 2yo).
My my first appointment still isn’t until January 19th.
I don’t have any good first date stories. I’m boring haha
How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Haven't had much gastrointestinal issues until the past few days. Lots of painful, trapped gas, indigestion, cramps... just overall gross feeling. And I've had some headaches as well -not sure if that's related to the weather or the pregnancy, but they suck. Emotionally just hanging on until Friday.
Rants/Raves? Vents? No real rants/raves - ILs are in town and we've been hanging out for a few days. We decided we were going to wait at least until the next US check before we told anyone, so we've been biting our tongues this weekend.
Any appointments this week? Next US and check up is Friday. Should be 8w5d (although I measured 4 days behind at last US). Super nervous there won't be much growth (if at all).

How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Physically pretty good except for my breathlessness and just in general feeling fat. But that's probably due to the excess of the holidays rather than pregnancy.

DS is becoming such a picky eater and it's driving me crazy. Football play offs and my husband is obsessed and basically thinks it's his god given right to lie on the couch all effing day.

Well I had my first ultrasound yesterday and it went well.

No. I've been with DH since I was a teenager so that didn't leave much time for many first dates!

Raspberry. The bump said yesterday that it weighed as much as a jelly bean, and today it's as much as a paper clip. I think I'd have to try pretty hard to find a paper clip and a jelly bean where the clip weighed more.
How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally?
Physically, I'm pretty constantly nauseous and pretty tired. And I think the breathlessness is kicking in. Emotionally, I keep tearing up at nonsensical things. Overall, I'm feeling like a fat lazy blob. It's not awesome.

My pants don't fit anymore, but I don't want to buy any new maternity pants until I see an ultrasound that confirms everything is okay. So I don't know what I'm going to wear for the next week.

First ultrasound on the 12th! I'll feel a whole lot better when I see that heartbeat.

Like @ecwk, I've been with DH since high school. I only went on one first date before him, and I've been trying to remember it but can't. We might have gone to Sonic? I do remember some awkward kissing in his basement.

This nausea is really taking a toll on my well being. I told DH today I have no idea how people with chronic pain function and he said they are on heavy pain meds. I wish! I’m actually looking forward to grocery shopping tomorrow so I can get a bunch of food that sounds good. Emotionally I’m ok, although when DS is being a defiant 3 year old I worry how I’ll handle two kids.

I sure wish it was easier to find a trustworthy babysitter!!! We need a date night!

First midwife appointment on Tuesday afternoon and I’m excited to see the little raspberry wiggling around.

Not really but I had friends who liked to give all my dates nicknames. There was Big T Little Odd (Todd), the tall Canadian named Ryan became The Talking Alien because they misheard me, and Polymer Steve.
Edit because I already forgot my other rant I was going to add. Lol, oh well.
@Secretstapler you said Sonic, and now I want their ice cream things (I can’t remember what they’re called). When I was pregnant with DS, I used to take the long way home from my appointments to stop and get one. But that sonic closed.

How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Constant all day nausea and vomiting multiple times a day. Add in flaring crohns disease and needless to say a little miserable. First apt is 1/12, trying to wait to talk to dr then about m/s
Rants/Raves? Vents? Hubby has really tried to help out around house since I've being feeling so crappy. Dreading going to work tomorrow (monday) and having to try to hide m/s as much as possible.

GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? Went through a series of terrible of internet dates before I met DH. The worst, was an airline pilot. As soon as we met at the bae, he complimented me by telling me I had beautiful toe cleavage. I was a bit thrown off, and decided to have one drink. He then proceeded to tell me how he refuses to breed, even though his profile noted that he wanted children- his explanation was that he got more responses that way. After one drink, he was visably drunk and asked if I wanted to be lucky enough to screw him. I quickly left and blocked him. I am still slightly terrified to take a certain airline, since I would hate to run into him.

How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? I feel okay today. I think my appetite is coming back a little which is a relief but I have to focus on getting more water. I'm not interested in drinking it but feel so dehydrated.
Rants/Raves? Vents? My husband remains completely clueless and this morning he said he thought we were around 6 weeks. I realize the timing can be confusing, especially since this was an IVF transfer that happened about 5 weeks ago but he clearly doesn't listen to anything I tell him. Sigh.
Any appointments this week? Nothing until the first week of February but everything looked perfect at our ultrasound last week so I'll try not to worry.
GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? I dated a ton before settling down but the most embarrassing was probably with my H. A day or two before our first date he called to tell me that he was stuck at his mom's house keeping an eye on their dog who had run into a boat trailer and given herself a concussion. A normal person would have probably taken the hint and assumed he was trying to get out of the date but I came up with an elaborate plan where I would meet him and we could still have the date...and then realized that he might be making it up and tried to back track to let him cancel. It was an incredibly embarrassing and awkward phone call. He still swears the dog had a head injury of some sort and we did have our date. I'm such a tool.

How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? I feel okay. Got on Diclegis the first day I had all-day sickness and if I skip it, I feel pretty bad. I am one of those people who can't really function with nausea so it has been a lifesaver. It does give me some anxiety, though, because I really don't want to be taking anything. Otherwise, a little crampy (round ligaments), tired, and hungry.
Rants/Raves? Vents? Any appointments this week? My dating ultrasound is tomorrow and I am a ball of nerves.
GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? So, my first date with DH was really memorable. Somehow when I was getting ready, I dropped my flat iron but didn't realize it. I ended up stepping on it and burning the arch of my foot pretty badly. Like, who does that? Anyway, my poor DH, he was so patient and kind that night. He even brought me flowers and we popped into stores with seats so I could rest my foot as we explored the shops in downtown. Had a great dinner and nice ride home (stopped for ice cream because we were trying to make the date longer! Haha). At the end of the night, he dropped me off at my parents' house and I was SO impressed that he didn't try to kiss me because all I had been dating lately was a bunch of jerks who just wanted to get in my pants. I found out after we were married that he did, in fact, try to kiss me that night, but I turned my head or something. He thought I wasn't interested! Haha! I had no idea he even tried that. Guess we walked away from our first date with very different thoughts.
How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Okay. Random bouts of feeling ‘off’. This morning I felt faint in the shower but I think I might have had it too hot for too long.
Rants/Raves? Vents? I took my first blump picture this morning. The documentation starts lol. DS was a terror yesterday but woke up super sweet today. I love/hate working. I think I want to retire and work part time. That’d be ideal. Still get a break but get to spend most time with the kiddos.

GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? Well I’ve only dated two guys ever. Maybe the most embarrassing thing is from my high school boyfriend - when we first started dating I would get the nervous shits every single date. Which was so stupid looking back but it was awful!
August '18 March Siggy Challenge - You had ONE JOB
How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Nauseous and gagging but no throwing up, so winning! Eating helps curb the nausea. Still feel "off" (I hate anxiety), I imagine that won't change until next u/s. So tired

DH bought a baby heart doppler! It's currently in route to the house. I love that man! Reflux is horrid. Ds is 18 months today and holy mother! All the smacking/pinching/kicking! Tint terror... I keep questioning my sanity and how we will function with 2.

Ds had 18 month check up. Mines in 2 weeks.

had my first appointment with ultrasound yesterday. Measuring 8weeks 2 Days yesterday but my doctor put me at 8w4d. Have to go for blood work and my 1hr glucose but waiting until Saturday for that since the one test she is running checks baby’s gender has to be done starting at 9 weeks.

How are you feeling? Physically and/or emotionally? Physically- still pretty shitty. Headaches are unreal- I know part of it is caffeine withdrawal.
Rants/Raves? Vents? My house is falling apart. I feel sick all day so my laundry is piled up, my kitchen is a disaster and I just can’t keep up. My daughter usually gets hot lunch once a week, she is on day 3 straight of hot lunch.

Nothing until 1/30. It kills me to have to wait until 12 weeks for my first ultrasound. I did have an intake appointment with the nurse though, so step 1 is done.

GTKY: Do you have any embarrassing or funny first date stories? I went to the bathroom at the restaurant during DH and my first date and got a bloody nose so I was in there for like 15 minutes and he was worried I was trying to ditch him. 9.5 years later we are still together!
