@fraufarbissina - NOOOOOOOOOO! When are they rescheduling it?
  • Loading the player...
  • @mileswithmyles I'm so anxious to find out. I feel like I've been waiting for forever!

@ivyvines6 I need to be more consistent in general. I think having set days for certain things would definitely help. I'll be a SAHM after #2, so I feel like I need to get a better routine going now. I use work as an excuse a lot for my poor housekeeping!

    @fraufarbissina good luck today!

@nanifrog we should do a thread. I bet others would participate. It would be helpful to share tips and schedules!
  • How far along are you? 20 W 6 days.

Boy/Girl/ Team Green/Don't Know Yet?  Girl

How old are your other kids? 19 months

Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else) -
The week before Christmas DD was sleeping 8 hours a night so I had hope she was starting to figure it out without us intervening. Well then she got sick the weekend before Christmas and ever since she has reverted back to her old sleep habits. I really just want to sleep before this baby comes lol. I am really hoping that switch flips back on and she goes back to sleeping 8+ hours a night.

DD has just slowly started getting tantrums and the fact that it will get worse from what all of you are saying worries me. She already will throw herself on the floor. Depending on what her tantrum is for we either just leave her there until she gets up and comes running to us or pick her up and give her a hug until she calms down.
GTKY:  Any New Year's resolutions?  not really.
  • @fraufarbissina nooooo!!! Ugh, that is such a bummer! I hope you get to go soon! Like tomorrow...
  • How far along? 23+2.

    Boy/Girl/Don't Know? Boy

    Other Kids: almost 21 months

Rants/Rave/Questions: Rave: Even though Viking still isn't talking in general, he has said Mama twice in the last week, for real.  Both times it was not prompted and he reached for me when he said it.

New Years Resolutions: Meditate, exercise, pray, and study scripture daily.  Also, stop letting work destroy my mental health. No job is worth that.

Too many people to tag, but Viking is still mostly a doll. There are several tantrums a day, but they all stop as soon as he gets what he wants or is removed from the situation.  Most are because he wants his water bottle. Everything I've seen at the library, threenager is the most difficult stage.

  • @SaVy_05 yikes! I hope your finger heals fast. Can't imagine taking care of kids and keeping it safe.
  • @doraleigh35 I do different chores on different days. It's a pretty strict schedule and it's been working well for me since I became a SAHM. It keeps it manageable and keeps everything at a decent level of clean. Now with #2 coming, I definitely want to see if I can also squeeze in a professional cleaning once a month, but I fear that will have to wait another couple of years...

Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else) - I’m trying to secure a preschool program for our son, so I’m anxious about ensuring we find good one. Also, I’m wondering how he’ll do being at home for half of the day or more with myself and a newborn. He’s a busy and social kid, I’m just not sure if he’ll be going stir crazy or what, it will be such a big change. I’m hoping I can keep up with it all, and everyone will have what they need.

@ivyvines6 I’m encouraged hearing about your little guys taking such initiative and pride in helping out with chores. I’m going to buckle down and give that a try with mine!

    GTKY:  Any New Year's resolutions
Ive enrolled in a prenatal fitness class that begins next week, hoping to get into better shape.
  • @nanifrog, thank you! It's healing really well, much quicker than I expected! Thankfully I haven't had too many hold backs with taking care of my kiddos.
