I've been MIA the last few days for some family time, hope everyone is doing well! Plus, it's so cool to see another BMB pop up!

How many weeks are you? 7 weeks today

Why are you considered high risk? Diabetic + AMA

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? My first ultrasound is the 9th! I'm so nervous and excited, the u/s will be with my MFM office and they have all the really good imaging equipment. Then follow-up with my MFM team to once again re-adjust my insulin. I've been on the long-acting for a while but I think they're going to add in some fast-acting after meals for better control. So, more shots, ugh.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Morning sickness and nausea is starting to ramp up, I want to hide under my desk and cry, y'all! I can't eat crackers and things that would help so I'm just a big ball of complaining right now.

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? DH and I never took a honeymoon so we want to go see the Pacific Northwest, fly into Seattle, then head up to Vancouver and do an Alaska cruise from there.

Why are you considered high risk? crohns disease, and autoimmune liver disease 

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? liver ultrasound/ultrasound of abdomen tomorrow. Patiently waiting for first in person ob apt on 1/12. Phone and email consults since day after bfp. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? ob office merged with another, and had to cancel physical apts, and did phone/email consults or referred out. My apt was cancelled twice, I just want an in person visit mehhh. Oh and constant m/s vomitting minimally once a day. Luckily DH has been so understanding and patient, and picking up the slack. 

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation ? mil is from laos/thailand and I would love to go see where she grew up, and meet all her siblings and parents. Hopefully once DH retires from military we can go!

Why are you considered high risk? Homozygous for PAI-1 and MTHFR so I’m on blood thinners

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? Ugh no. I don’t even get a telephone intake until 1/16 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I don’t even have a first appt scheduled and they don’t plan to until my phone intake call. I’m just frustrated and anxious at not knowing how things are going

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? Probably so cliche, but my husband and I had the best honeymoon in Mexico so if I could do anything again, it’d probably be that. There’s nothing more relaxing to me than just sitting on a beach

How many weeks are you? 7 weeks tomorrow I'm estimating. Find out January 30th

Why are you considered high risk? I have a son with numerous birth defects 

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? Nope not until that January 30th appointment but after that they should pick up quickly 

Rants/Raves/Questions? Nah not this week. 

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? Greece Or Boston  (I know, completely different). I've been to St Thomas and I wish I could live there, not just vacation there

@katyburgan - ugh the waiting is horrible! I hope it passes quickly for you!
@meeks2020 - Greece is on our bucket list! I love Boston but the traffic was insane! It's like the normal laws of physics don't apply (2 objects occupying the same space at the same time is totally possible lol!)

How many weeks are you? 8+3

Why are you considered high risk? Prior preterm birth and myomectomy last year. 

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? First appointment was today: blood work and an exam! OB wants me to meet with someone from MFM to determine if I should get progesterone injections. Although he’s pretty sure my fibroids are what caused my preterm birth, he can’t be certain and wants me to get another opinion. I f/u with my OB in four weeks. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? Feeling relieved to finally have had my first appointment, despite having to drive there in this winter storm. Nausea seems to be easing up a bit and I’m hoping I start to get my energy back so I can get back to working out. 

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? I’d love to do a road trip across the US or go back to Switzerland!

Why are you considered high risk? Pregnancy Induced Thrombocytopenia for both pregnancies with my daughters

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? Had ultrasound confirmation this week, go back in two weeks for another ultrasound and baseline blood work since it is expected for my platelet levels to become low again

Rants/Raves/Questions? Tired of being nauseated all day though it has seemed to not be as severe this week since I stated Diclegis last week. Also tired of raging hormones, everything seems to irritated me!!

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? Would love to go back to Australia

Why are you considered high risk? AMA, 2 previous losses, and a septate uterus (was correct via surgery in July)

Any new appointments or monitoring this week? Not this week. Next appointment is 1/12.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Not yet - just trying to make it to next week. 

GTKY: What would be your dream vacation? Hmm - I'd really like to go to Japan. It's so expensive though!

@meeks2020 We went to Greece and Turkey for our honeymoon and it was amazing!! You should definitely go to Greece if you can!
