FTM Check-in 1/2

Hi ladies! With the decreased activity on the board overall, I'm thinking this should be our last FTM Check-in unless I receive objections. I'm sure at this point, most of us just want baby out and are ready to move on to a post partum thread.

How far along are you?

GTKY: What will you miss most about being childless when your LO is born?

How far along are you? 
38 weeks, 4 days

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? 
Just got back from my weekly appointment and it went well. BP and heart rate were both good. Had another cervical check and I'm stalled out from last week still at 2cm/50% which isn't a bad place to be but I was hopeful for a little progress. OB offered to strip my membranes but since I still have a week and a half until she's due I figured I'd give it a little more time. Next appointment is next Wednesday (39+5) so if I'm still pregnant then I'll probably have her strip away but we'll see.

Any pregnancy related symptoms this past week? 
Have noticed an increase in cramping but that's about it other than the usual sleep/discomfort issues.

Rants/Raves?
I'm so over work. I really wish I had saved an extra 2 weeks of PTO so I could just take off starting now. I have to find work for myself and even then it's only a few hours worth of stuff. Plus all I can think about is how messy our downstairs is again after a few days of letting the dogs destroy all of their toys.

GTKY: What will you miss most about being childless when your LO is born?
Probably just not having to constantly take care of another living creature. I mean, we have 4 pets but they don't need the same level of care and attention as a newborn.

How far along are you? 

35w 2d 

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? 

I’ve been moved up to every week now, for appointments. Last week I had the B strep test (that was lovely and dry). This coming Monday I have the growth scan. I can’t wait to see how he is. 

Any pregnancy related symptoms this past week? 

I’m still doing pretty good. I find myself switching to my right side during the middle of the night. My left hip is starting to really hurt. I’m having the occasional lightning crotch, I’ve had a few nights of light cramps and lots of wonderful discharge.

Rants/Raves?

I have my baby shower this Sunday. Monday, my SO and I will be doing the final shopping (getting the hospital bag packed, installing the car seat)

Sleeping!!! I love to sleep.
