Re: Saturday Ticker Change 12/23
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 37 Weeks - romaine lettuce
2) How are you feeling? Hips/pelvis/groin still hurting like heck when I try to move. Also I’ve been slightly stuffy all month which I am just so over.
3) Any appointments this week/last? I’m finally up to weekly appointments. Wednesday I had the routine check plus GBS test but no cervical check. Still measuring like 2 weeks ahead but on curve. And my doctor wrote the order to schedule a RCS on/after the 16th (40+3).
Next visit is on Tuesday.
4) How are baby preparations going? Starting to get anxious about the state of the “nursery” - hoping DH will make some time to deal with his crap this weekend.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Who are you inviting to be with you during labor and/or at delivery? Any other visitor rules for your hospital stay or early days back home? Family can come hang out while I’m in labor if they want but errybody out for checks and pushing. If I do the RCS probably we won’t ask anybody to be there until after Little Dino is here.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
37 weeks, Romaine Lettuce
2) How are you feeling?
So much pressure!!!! It started last night and he just keeps packing it on. I know my body is getting itself ready to go but it needs to chill out if he's not going to be making an appearance for 3 more weeks lol
3) Any appointments this week/last?
Weekly appointments and nothing big going on. I'll have my first cervical check at my appointment next week!
4) How are baby preparations going?
We're all set!!!
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
My in laws are supposed to watch DS until my parents are able to get here from DC (about a 4 hour drive) and they informed us that they will be out of town from 12/27-1/3...I know my due date isn't until 1/14 but I could go early and have to scramble to find someone I really trust to hang out with DS (who is very shy) until my family can get here. They said they couldn't go earlier than this because my sister in law was due a few days ago and they didn't want to go too close to her due date...I guess my due date isn't as important which is fine but I'm definitely feeling a little stressed about going into labor early now!!
6) GTKY: Who are you inviting to be with you during labor and/or at delivery? Any other visitor rules for your hospital stay or early days back home?
For DS, I said anyone could come and visit until I said otherwise but that I only wanted DH in the room when it was time to push. I ended up having my mom stay in the room too because she was incredibly supportive and held my hair when I was throwing up those first few pushes! This time I'll probably do the same thing! I'm planning on an epidural again so I don't mind my few close girlfriends and a few family members coming in and out to visit and check on us. It made it so I wasn't completely relying on my husband the entire time and he definitely had to eat and go to the bathroom during my 14 hour labor with DS!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
35 weeks, a pineapple
2) How are you feeling?
Hip pain, back pain, can't breath, can't get comfortable. Haha the usual for pregnant woman nearing the end.
3) Any appointments this week/last?
I have my growth scan and GBS test this coming Wednesday. Then we decide to wait 2 weeks or start being seen weekly.
4) How are baby preparations going?
Completed. Hospital bag, diaper bag, car seat, all done and ready to go.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Who are you inviting to be with you during labor and/or at delivery? Any other visitor rules for your hospital stay or early days back home?
Obviously DH will be in the room and my mom will be in the room. I don't really want people coming up to the hospital until after the baby is born. I want to make sure I get my skin to skin time without feeling rushed by visitorsand knowing that there are people waiting to see the baby (it gives me extra anxiety just thinking about it). And after the baby is born, I only want people around him who didn't recently smoke and had their flu shots and are up to date on the tdap.
Day late - Sorry!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 37 weeks, Romaine Lettuce.
2) How are you feeling? I’m feeling great to be done work for a year (or less depending on some factors). Physically, I’m exhausted and I just feel really, really, REALLY heavy. Emotionally, I’m exhausted. Just waiting for the holidays to be over (for me they’re done around the 28th) and then I can relax. I’ve been laying low socially, but the family obligations are ever present
3) Any appointments this week/last? I’m on the weekly appointments. Nothing new or concerning to report. We chatted about sweeping membranes next appointment. Have decided that it’s not for me for a variety of reasons.
4) How are baby preparations going? It’s all good. Car seat may be a hospital parking lot install by DH as we are using the car a lot these days to move things from homes and workshops. Other than that, we are ready. Just need a name for the little one! LOL.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Who are you inviting to be with you during labor and/or at delivery? Any other visitor rules for your hospital stay or early days back home? Just DH. He will notify family when we get to hospital. Don’t have a lot of people who would expect a hospital visit – just my siblings and mom. We have no hardcore rules about visitors but probably won’t open up the floodgates until baby is a week or so old. Can’t believe he will be here so soon! Holy moly!
