hey ladies, I'm 8weeks today about 2 hours ago I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was blood on the tissue, it's still happening now.. I went to the hospital but they wouldn't do anything as I'm only 8 weeks.. they said to ring my doctor in the morning.. I've got no pain just an achy lower back.. I don't want to go to the toilet in case it's worse, im really worried

Seeing blood is so frightening. It doesn't always mean the worst. If you call you doctor now, maybe there is an answering service who will contact Him/Her?? My doctor once returned my call on a Sunday. Wishing you all the best, You're in my prayers. Waiting is so hard.

Was it dark or bright? 1st trimester bleeding is semi common. Dark blood is no cause for huge alarm (but still worth calling your OB)

There are a few things that can trigger bleeding... Sex, straining to poop, etc. I would try and take it easy until tomorrow, as in lay in bed and get a lot of rest and hopefully your OB can see you tomorrow.

@Crystal321 it was dark on the first wipe but since it's got brighter, I've still not got any cramps or pain in my stomach.. I've been walking around all day Christmas shopping so wondering if that's caused it.. I'm just so worried. I'm resting in bed now.. thank you so much x

Hang in there @knottief54f3e5d06b8912e It really may be nothing to worry about. Try to rest as @Crystal321 said. She's right. Hopefully it's simply one of the reasons she listed.

hi while bleeding is scary it can be normal since none of us can offer much insight since we are not there please call your dr. also once things settle down change your screen name so we can keep track of you better

I had this with my daughter and it was an SCH. I had it with this one and it was a cervical polyp. Pretty common, although scary. Follow the advice of PP and good luck!

@lindsayleigh1989 @WorkinWeezel @babiebakie @Crystal321 I’ve just seen my doctor she’s referred me to the early pregnancy unit for a scan tomorrow at 3.20.. she said as the bleeding isn’t heavy and I’ve got no pain it’s not urgent and I shouldn’t worry.. so fingers crossed everything is okay tomorrow. I’ve also changed my screen name but it don’t seem to of updated on here yet. Thank you all for your reassurance x

I had bleeding with my first child- at 7 weeks- I ran to ER- where they did an ultrasound and I could see everything was fine.... I am sorry that you weren't given that- but a lot of us have been there and it all turned out fine- we will be thinking about you though until we hear positive news (cross fingers!)

@shelbylove_1986 I had bleeding with my son (who is now 5), and with this one, right around 8 weeks.  Everything was fine with my son, and so far, so good with this one.  No more bleeding since that one episode and baby looked healthy at our last appointment.  I hope you have the same outcome!  Good luck on your ultrasound!

Yeah I had bleeding for my last full term pregnancy as well as this one. This one was a lot more severe and I was diagnosed with a SCH. It's all very scary but the best thing to do is stay off your feet and try and relax.

@shelbylove_1986 I’m so glad to see you were able to get an appt.  I’m praying for you.  I know it’s super stressful, but I did want to share that I had light bleeding around 7-8 weeks with both of my pregnancies.  You did the right thing by calling the doc, but I just wanted to provide a little peace of mind to you in the meantime.  Hugs mama.  Try to rest and not worry.

@Crystal321 thank you, your messages are so reassuring.. I’m praying it’s nothing to worry about, so nervous for tomorrow though.. apart from my doctors appointment this morning I’ve literally done nothing but lay down

@tarheelgirl8 it’s so scary, today it’s gone from red blood to light pink still no pain.. so I’m a little hopeful, just hope everything goes well with the scan tomorrow.. thank you so much your message has put me more at ease. I’ll keep you updated ❤️

I bled all first tri with my son. This time around i had light spotting when i got my +hot and around 7 wks due to small SCH. I still have a small SCH but doc said it’s not concerning. I haven’t bled in about 3 wks. Hopefully it will be absorbed by my next appointment. Hope all looks good for you! Keep us posted!!

@shelbylove_1986 just to share that I had some moderate bright red bleeding last Thursday. I was really concerned but I called my midwife and she told me that there could be a variety of reasons. The bleeding thankfully stopped and I had a follow-up ultrasound yesterday which confirmed everything is ok. Still no idea why I was bleeding, and I didn’t bleed at all with my first pregnancy so it was really out of the ordinary for me. Anyway, just wanted to share a positive story in case it is helpful and wishing you the best.

I had a bit of bleeding a few weeks ago. No cramps and everything was fine. FX it's the same for you! Try and get some rest and good sleep tonight!

I woke up last night with bright red bleeding. Went in for a scan and baby/heartbeat strong. Scared the crap out of us. It stopped quickly and no signs of infection and Cervix closed- so far I’m trying to stay positive but wow what a scare (I’m 13w2days)
