What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?  Doing okay.  I have been super emotional this week and everything has been getting under my skin, which I hate.  Especially when I get more easily annoyed at DS :-(

Any upcoming appointments?  My next appts are the 26th and 27th in FL!

GTKY:  What names do/will your parents and in-laws go by as grandparents?  My mom just goes by Grandma and my dad goes by PaPaw.  We don't see the ILs enough for DS to know who they are.

How far along are you? When is your due date? What size is baby? 21 weeks, 5/1, sites seem all over the place on this week's size...pomegranate (isn't that smaller than a banana?), carrot, bok choy...who knows?

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Feeling so much better after the NIPT results came back normal. As of yesterday I've finally reached the furthest point of any of my pregnancies, and I'm really thinking this time I'll get to meet my baby boy! I love feeling him kick all the time, and I love being relaxed enough now to start doing things like booking childbirth classes and choosing a stroller and all that fun stuff.

Any upcoming appointments? Just my weekly shot today, then a couple appointments after Christmas.

GTKY:  What names do/will your parents and in-laws go by as grandparents? This is somewhat complicated for us...My wife's mom will definitely be Grandma because that's what she wants (and wife's dad is out of the picture). My niece calls my mom Bubbe (Yiddish, I think?...we're half-Jewish.) and my dad Yeye (Chinese...her father is Chinese). We'll probably keep Bubbe for my mom. Yeye seems a little random for my son's grandpa since we're not the least bit Chinese, so I'm thinking something like Pop Pop? Or whatever sound comes out of the baby's mouth when he starts talking. Lol.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
We're heading to my dad's for Christmas on Friday! I'm so looking forward to seeing family that only comes in once a year, too.
I caught a bad cold about a month ago and the cough has been lingering ever since. Over the weekend, I developed a sharp pain in my right ribs that hurts like a mf when I take a deep breath, cough, sneeze, laugh, etc. I've never had a broken rib, but I can imagine it's pretty close to what it feels like. Turns out the cartilage between my ribs is inflamed from all the hard coughing. I saw my OB yesterday and since I can't take anti-inflammatories, he gave me cough syrup with codeine to take at night and Tessalon Perles to take during the day. Hopefully they will clear up my cough quickly so my ribs can heal and so I'm not taking too much of the "iffy" list medicine.
Gotta rave on DH. I forgot my wallet at home yesterday and he brought it to me at work since he was at home waiting for the air guy to come by and fix our duct problems.

GTKY:  What names do/will your parents and in-laws go by as grandparents? My Dad is "Poppa Doc" (he's a dentist and friends call him "Doc" and his dad is "Poppa"), DH's mom is "Granny", and DH's dad is "Pappaw". All the names were requested and we had no issues complying. Made it easier on us!!

GTKY:  What names do/will your parents and in-laws go by as grandparents? 
Well my parents are supposed to be Grandma and Grandpa as thats what my nieces and nephews call them, but my 2 yo calls them “Ma” and “Papa”. 

My in laws are “Nana” and “Papa”.  My father in law wanted to be grandpa but I thought that would be confusing since we already had a grandpa (and we are the only grandchildren on this side so no precedent) but now my son calls them both “papa” anyways. Oh well.

@abbykm7 My grandfathers were Poppaw and Poppa. I always got them confused when I was old enough to start writing their names on gifts. I eventually got the hang of it, though.

Feeling good! I’ve been hitting the gym as usual but I can see my body packing on the fat so I’m ready for the holidays to be over so I can get back to clean eating.

20w5d today. Over halfway there!! Due May 3rd. He’s a banana according to this app.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? 
Just working and finishing up Christmas shopping for the kids. We are going to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Saturday. Hoping it’s not too loud for baby. I’m better than I have been so far, but still feel kind of crappy.

Not until mid January.

My parents are Grandma and Papa. I guess we haven’t thought about the in laws (this will be their first grandchild). Great-Grandma is Beema.

Mostly recovered from pulling a muscle. Feeling tons of movement daily. Things are good!

We went to Disney today for the candlelight processional, and it was awesome! We went to Epcot and had dinner in Germany. I  German food... Ate way too much, like usual. J loved the show they do there and he also enjoyed the foods. Neil Patrick Harris is who narrated the candlelight processional tonight and I just love him. J was acting like a crazed maniac, but it was really close to bed time so /shrug 

Any upcoming appointments?
I had my first today actually! Seeing this midwife is so different from seeing the last dr for prenatal care. She spent so much time going over everything and making sure I was ok, which was a stark difference from having every concern I brought up poo-pooed, and told “it’s fine, that’s normal” with no other discussion. I also can’t picture her walking out of a room and having a nurse tell me what’s next and what I need to have done... 

Anyway, I peed in a cup, so it’s official. She also took my blood, blood pressure (Which was perfect btw so I was freaking myself out over nothing) and my weight, then we got to listen to the baby’s heartbeat again. (Which made DH really exited this time.) I have to call to schedule the ultrasound sometime tomorrow for as soon as possible... (I have three weeks (24 weeks) in the state of Florida to do anything if there’s a problem so I’m trying to not freak out right now... Also, I’m saying positive mantras daily to not put that negative concept into the atmosphere.)

My in laws are Nana and Papa, and my parents are Mamaw and Papaw. I had four sets of grandparents and it was never confusing to us... I had Crumudgeon (she started that, not us) Poppy, Grandma Margie and Poppy Jerry, Grandpa Johnny and Grandma Sue, Grandpa Don and Grandma Caroline or Meemaw.

Ugh, painful stomach cramping dihareah last night from 1am-2:30 am.  I have IBD and it kills me some nights.  My dogs of course follow me into the bathroom and lay down on the bath mat in front of me.  It's kind of cute and gross at the same time.



Any upcoming appointments?
DR apt today.  I'm in search of a Doula.  My practice thinks it will be best for me considering I have major anxiety and want to try the natural route.  I'm looking into hypnobirthing because they have that class at the hospital I want to deliver at. And it seems like now I am making up the weight I didn't gain before but only in my boobs.  My husband actually wants to weight them..men.

Finally back after our trip!

How far along are you? When is your due date? What size is baby? 21+2, due 4/30. Baby is the size of an endive. 

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? we had a great time in NYC. DS was about as good as I could expect him to be. He loved all the Christmas decor and events and loved seeing Charlie and the Choclate Factory. Honestly, one of the highlights of my trip was that one of my former students drove two hours to have lunch with us Sunday. I’m so stinking proud of him and it meant the world to me that he wanted to come see me. He has Asperger’s and is now living across the country from his family getting a master’s degree in some crazy engineering program. My only rant is that I’m now have the post vacation blues. 

Any upcoming appointments? nothing until after the new year.

I have 1 more shift to get through and then I’m off for 10 days!!!  I’m almost completely ready for Christmas and I’m looking forward to dim sum and 2 Christmas dinners, neither of which I have to host!!

My parents are grandma (first name) and grandpa (first name) but ds calls them gaga and Bob. My in-laws are Omi and grandpa (first name).  I like to call fil Opi because he’s a douche and he hates his fil (dh’s Opi). Mil is 100% German and fil is Vietnamese/raised Chinese and it pisses me off that their other grandkids refer to them as pop pop and gong gong. Not sure why my mil took the Asian title.  We might get our kids to refer to him as ye ye.  Maybe.
