Here’s my Monday Bitchfest... I’m not sure if it’s me or the toddler... either way he woke up MH and I at 3 am and didn’t go back to sleep. And the adults were up until midnight doing Christmas gifts. So I just hit that stage between awake and asleep and he was playing with his race cars and watching Mickey and then I heard a funny noise.
He had found the liquid Benadryl for being itchy and dumped it into a ((thankfully)) empty tums container. Fortunately he’s really into pouring stuff and I could tell he hadn’t tried to eat it. But yeah. Mom of the year right here.
Also, while I was disposing of the tums container of Benadryl he ran off with the hopefully empty Benadryl bottle. And I can’t find it anywhere. Happy Monday.
Here's a combo of all 3 - that freakin' Steelers game last night was total BS! They got robbed! The NFL is getting so stupid and it just.. I can't even. I'm white girling so hard over here... just... ugh!!!!
Sorry.. I will return to being a lady when football season is over.
@mdfarmchick That would have been something fantabulous to wake up to. I am thankful he didn't drink any of it. How do they find the one thing they shouldn't play with and then play with it? My daughter drank half a bottle of liquid Tylenol when she was 4 (and she would never take it willingly). I am so paranoid now. I have it all locked in a cabinet in the laundry room.
My MBF is regarding our lovely refrigerator. It's just a giant fridge and we have a separate freezer. I hosted the department Christmas party and put the left over ham and turkey in the fridge that night along with stuff I had made for church dinner. I had also just bought all of our milk products and juice. So I opened the refrigerator the next morning and the temp was 65 degrees. I was devastated. We lost all of that meat and milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, and sour cream. We only have one appliance repairman in town and I can't get ahold of him. I have milk in our Yeti cooler and 10 bags of ice in the freezer trying to make it till he can fix it or tell us we need a new one. We just paid to have the circuit board replaced in our oven and that was expensive. Everything is croaking. I swear we had the same refrigerator for like 20 years before it had to be worked on when I was a kid. I honestly don't think things last as long as they used to.
i'm with ya @crossfitbabybump !!!! total bs. i'm an eagles fan, but I do like the steelers, and basically like anyone who is playing the patriots, so that one was a big shock at the end there!!! ugh.

@KZ1126 - I just don't understand.. even if you're not a Steelers fan, that should still feel wrong! How can the Pats just go home and accept that.. oh wait... it's the Patriots. We so got screwed out of that one. UGH! lol
The NFL needs to stop trying to re-invent the wheel. Dude catches the ball, dude holds on to the ball, dude scores touchdown. I'm a Texans fan and we weren't going anywhere after we lost our QB so the Steelers are my superbowl team....so I'm a little salty.
AFM: I'm over being sick. I need it to end NOW. That is all!
@fiddleRN79 the Lowe’s delivery guy laughed when he dropped off a new fridge for my grandma. She asked him if it would last her 24 years like her last one. He said, ma’am you will be lucky if it lasts 8. They make them to break these days. Also, yes, I’m glad I hadn’t actually fallen asleep and I realized what he was up to... and that he was fine.
F working out pregnant. I need to bc it honestly makes me feel better, but damn it's uncomfortable.
Also, I work at three different hospitals, but haven't been to one of them in a few weeks bc of my work transition. I put my scrub top on this morning and it was so tight. It was too early to go shopping, so I just looked like an over-stuffed blackberry all day.
@DDRRT1982 the scrub struggle is real. I can't really fit any of pre preggo scrubs, but the maternity ones are like a tent here's hoping you find a comfy pair that looks good on you!
@DDRRT1982 Yeah, that's similar to my MBF. I crossed the threshold at least a month ago from "workouts make me feel good" into "workouts don't feel good at all but if I'm totally sedentary that's bad, right?". It sucks to not have that release anymore. I've now had 2 different perinatal nurses tell me I need to tone it down and accept the fact that I'm going to have to stop soon. And I'm only doing very light exercise for, like, less than 2 hours accumulated over an entire week.
Thanks, @cford08. I am definitely going to get something soon. I just hate buying scrubs. They are expensive and no fun to buy.
@vflux33 from where I started to where I am as far as working out is demoralizing. I had all these grand plans of being a fit pregnant woman, but I physically cannot keep up. I now see the appeal of using the water for exercise when pregnant. To float this body and maintain some strength sounds divine. I just can't stand getting wet, lol. All FWPs!
Here's a combo of all 3 - that freakin' Steelers game last night was total BS! They got robbed! The NFL is getting so stupid and it just.. I can't even. I'm white girling so hard over here... just... ugh!!!!

I’m just so so tired of being sick and catching every little thing my son brings home. This month, l went from having an upper respiratory infection (cough/chest congestion) to now developing a sore throat and cold this morning. I’ve been told by my dr not to take any of the normal stuff l’d take when I’m not pregnant (except for 1 emergenc per day when I’m sick.) Id just like to attempt to enjoy the holidays and not be sick, really is that asking too much?!???!
We have a 3 year old female husky. I love her to death. My DH didn’t want to get her fixed because he wanted to breed her. I finally got him to change his mind. We’ve been trying to save up to get her spayed since. Money has been tight so it hasn’t happened. She just started her heat cycle. I hate dealing with it. She has to wear diapers in the house and she’s so moody, ughhh.
The game wasn’t over, the difference between the Patriots and Steelers is the Pats have the discipline to finish the game. (Also they aren’t allowed to stretch for the goal line because our coach knows the rules, doing that will get you benched). But the game didn’t end on that play, the game ended with a bunch of grown men looking at each other as a few guys continued to play. Kick the FG and go to OT...buuuuuut it’s cool. People hate winners and I get that.
But honestly, it’s like all of Nee England blaming Buckner for the 86 World Series. The play didn’t end the game.
This coworker of mine, who I thought was a friend, just keeps being so negative all the time. She'll ask me about the pregnancy and I'll catch her up on things but she always has to have the last word and retaliate with something negative. I kid you not, I told her I had the hospital bag packed and ready to go for baby and I and she STILL had something negative to say about the things I put in it. Like... no. SHUT UP. It's MY bag. I'll put in it what I damn well please! And even if I don't use all the things in it, it doesn't matter... just please for the love of God, shut up already! No.. I'm just done telling her things. If she asks, she gets brief, short answers. I don't have time for negativity in my life. When I first made my baby shower registry, she was going through it saying that the baby was going to end up hating all of the stuff anyways. I should have known back then that she was going to be annoying. If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the hell up.

I didn't realize they let Steeler fans live in Texas.
I seem to be the only person on the planet who grew up in Pittsburgh and gives zero shits about the Steelers, but generally this conversation has been useful for me because I can get points with my dad for feigning outrage on his behalf the next time we talk on the phone .
My falls asleep before I close the door Toddler has decided napping is for the weak (mom) and waking randomly all night long is cool! This along with my new found ‘love’ for insomnia has me going a bit redrum. My DH has been lovely about it all and waking up with DD in the mornings so I can stay in bed an extra 30mins before he has to go to work (in our basement), but it still doesn’t feel like enough. I’m super glad my night job has slowed down and I only see 1 client each night this week... I don’t think I could survive more work.
I'm not sure it is me being the TW or my FSIL, but my brother's wedding is 12/30. I was going through iVF when they got engaged, was pregnant when the BM dresses were ordered. Dresses that could only look good on stick figure girls. Took it to the tailor, she quoted $350 just for alterations that showed my entire sides bc the dress has a teeny piece of lace on the back and then exposed back from top to butt. I was informed by the MOH (bride asked her to call me) that my options were to get it tailored, or possibly have a dress overnighted from the bridal shop, but it had to be exact same designer and exact same fabric and color, no exceptions. Another dress in a close match was not an option. The MOH made me go with her today to some hack tailor that will charge $150 for everything, and I had to keep saying, "hey i'm choking up top, the baby's squished down here, my boobs are showing on the side" while the MOH just kept saying oh that looks great, it will feel better when it's finished. So I'm going to be the humiliated fat pregnant bridesmaid for the sake of "perfect pictures" All I wanted was for someone to ask is if I was comfortable or say it was totally fine if I wanted to wear an appropriate maternity dress. or even just a cardigan. But nooooope. And bc I can't control my emotions right now I cried when my mom brought the dress up and made her feel terrible, although she was being kind of annoying about it. So my mom is mad at me, my SIL thinks I'm difficult, (and i'm NOT!), and I'm crying in a bag of double stuffed oreos. TW's all around.

@Cowboycorgi I am with you on the sleep regressions. My son used to sleep so easily and now he fights me every. single. day. Today he decided he wasn’t gonna nap. So bedtime is gonna be fun
@KZ1126 your future SIL is definitely the TW, not you! Her MOH and the tailor sound like TWs too. Sorry you're having to deal with all that! I don't get why people don't want their bridesmaids to all feel comfortable. Hopefully you can at least take a sweater or jacket for the reception when the photos are over.
@KZ1126 WTF. Weddings really bring out the worst in ppl sometimes. This is why when I reluctantly had a wedding my exact instructions were: "Everyone gets a black dress, I'll pay you back for it, just get something that isn't insanely expensive and that you can wear again and that isn't super slutty". Seriously though, they should be a lot more accommodating knowing you are 3rd tri for this wedding. I hope the tailor makes it work somehow!
@KZ1126 I’m sorry but brides who don’t take their bridesmaids into consideration when it comes to the dresses are ridiculous. I paid for both of my bridesmaids dresses, made sure they fit them well and that they felt comfortable in them. I feel like that should be a given, I’m sorry you’re having such an awful experience with it.

NO! you are not being difficult. Honestly, I would bow out. This is unreasonable. You physically can't meet their demands and nor should you have to. You are in the third trimester of being pregnant with a baby you worked so hard to have. If they can't offer reasonable accommodations for their brother's sister who is pregnant then you need to not subject yourself to this. You can be picture perfect when you take pictures as a family in a comfortable maternity dress.
@DDRRT1982 That's where I'm at. The only problem is, if I bow out I then cause the drama and I don't want to put my brother in the middle. BUT, if the tailor doesn't perform a sewing miracle by Thursday, then I will have to step out.
Thank you all for justifying my feelings!!!

To me it sounds like your SIL doesn't have a lot of experience with preggo ladies. I get it's her day, but a little flexibility will go a long way....
@KZ1126 I was 36 weeks pregnant (Also ivf) in my bff’s wedding. She picked out a color at David’s bridal and told everyone to pick a dress they liked in that color. She was incredibly supportive. You are not being difficult. Your SIL is joining your family, she should be a little more sensitive.
My cervix won TW for today...lost 0.7cm in a week and a half with no real change in my activity. Which puts me at 2.0cm. My MFM isn't having it and basically gave me my two weeks notice for work. I knew I was on borrowed time, but I guess since everything had been going so well lately I thought my cervix/cerclage would hold. Excuse me as I drown my sorrows in salted caramel Blue Bell
@cford08 Oh no, that sucks, I'm sorry. It's good you're taking your MFM seriously. I hope your cervix appreciates the early leave and that you find lots of good TV to binge.
@cford08 Sorry your cervix is being a TW. Our cervixes must have phoned each other last week. Are you on restricted activity now? What does your activity allowance consist of?
@megpeg huskies are so sensitive lol now she’s just so extra! I just hope this 3 weeks goes fast because I hate dealing with her heat cycle.
@Cowboycorgi thankfully when the dogs get to be too much I can call my ILs (who live next door) and my FIL comes to get them. And DS actually went to bed at 8pm last night! He slept for 11.5 hours. So hopefully he’ll be rested enough for a nap today. Screw regressions and strikes though lol
Well, as of yesterday I officially have preeclampsia. My 24 hour urine collection showed that the protein had doubled in 3 days. The increased dose of Procardia for blood pressure makes me feel hot and flushed and terrible, and it’s barely keeping my blood pressure under the cut off. My OB let me go home yesterday, but told me to pack my bags for the hospital, because I will have 2 visits a week from here and anyone could be the one where I will get admitted.
Once i am, it could be days, weeks, or months in the hospital, just trying to keep me stable enough to delay delivery. She really wants to keep him in until 34 weeks, said 36 is a good optimistic goal but to prepare for it being earlier. I am feeling really down and scared, but also trying so hard to stay calm to keep my bp down as much as possible.
