Pelvic Rest? How early?

33 weeks and today I started a thin, pink, watery discharge with a few bright red mucus pieces. 
OB had me come in right away and tested it for amniotic fluid (it was not) and my cervix still seemed "high and tight". 
They did an u/s and baby and fluid looked.fine and cervix was still normal length. Baby is measuring barely a week ahead and is 4.8ish pounds.
She put me on pelvic rest and sent me home. 

**Question: If you've had this or something similar happen, how long before you went into labor?**

My first pregnancy went full term and I ended up induced so I've never had my water break, mucus plug, etc. 

Also worth noting: Colostrum leaking for a few weeks. Slightly decreased movement.

@tres_jolie I went into L&D with contractions 2 minutes apart and was diagnosed with irritable uterus at 32 weeks. Cervix was high and closed. I was put on pelvic rest and am currently 37 weeks. So, no labor yet. Edit: tag

That's reassuring! My husband just flew out for 3 weeks to NYC this week and I was starting to worry this could be a sure sign she was coming early.
