Any fitness instructor mamas?

Hi All,

I’m pregnant with my second and started teaching group fitness after my first DS, 5 years ago...so while I can navigate my desk job pregnant, I’m wondering how those who teach make it through?  I only teach one class per week right now but I am dreading it. Just soooo tired! I taught last night but had been gone for 3 weeks overseas for my grandfather’s funeral sobused that as my reasoning for light weights (I teach Bodypump).  I have a hard time slot for subs too so it’s hard for me to bail on class last minute if I’m not feeling well.

  • I work in a fitness center full time. So I teach classes/train groups ~4-5 hours per day. Go lighter in weights if you need to. They’ll understand in a couple of months.  :):)

  • I’m mostly worried about feeling ill and having to talk through it!! I’m extremely anxious about sickness in general

  • If I’m just not feeling it that day, I’ll just tell class that I feel like a cold is coming on and to bear with me. I teach Fit4Mom Stroller Strides once a week so we’re not using weights, but I generally just move at a slower pace if I’m feeling exhausted.
