Good morning!

This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.

Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility."

Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appointment is and what for. If I'm missing anyone from this list, or you are new to the 2nd tri, please let me know and I will add you.

Please let us know when you have graduated to 3rd trimester so that I can take you off.

Hello! I wouldn't mind taking over the second trimester thread, although it may not be weekly but I'll try!

I have my anatomy scan this Wednesday. Really hoping everything is okay in there.

For xmas, we are driving to my in laws. My MIL is really big into Christmas. Like HUGE. But it's okay I haven't seen them since last Christmas so it would be good to catch up and tell them the big news in person!

23 weeks this week with a baby boy. No appointment this week. 

Since I found out I was pregnant, I've been shopping quite a bit, especially clothes that keep me warm and slightly baggy to cover my bump.  Black Friday I went crazy on maternity clothes.  Last weekend I calculated how much $ I've been spending since this summer on clothes and I was shocked!  It was a lot of $.  Thought I returned most of it, but I realized I kept a lot of stuff, too.  Can't shop any more! 

No xmas plans yet.  My mom likes to decorate her house with xmas decorations (she likes all kinds of holidays) but not sure if I'm going home for xmas this year since I promised my parents I'll be home for New Year's (a much bigger deal in my culture). We'll probably have dinner with my in-laws around xmas.

24 weeks and 1 day today, due date is April 2, 2018.  We still are not finding out the gender, and its starting to drive me crazy.  We started decorating the nursery last weekend, so that made me really want to know, but we'll continue to wait.

No appointments or anything exiting going on this week.

QOTW:  My mom is coming in town for 10 days over Christmas.  I should be excited, but 10 days is a long time to keep someone entertained.  We'll spend Christmas Eve at my MIL's and Christmas day at my FIL's.  I asked for gifts off of our baby registry for Christmas instead of stuff for myself.  So I'm looking forward to getting some baby gear in the next few weeks.

Yay, I'm in 2nd trimester now!!!  
14w4d today with one boy, due date June 8th, 2018
Next appointment is next week Thursday (Dec 21) just to check up, hear the heart, give some more blood. I'm sad that there are no more frequent ultrasounds, but I'll be happy to hear the heartbeat.
I don't have a doppler at home, so I'm in the dark between the appointments. Can't wait to start feeling the baby move, so that I have a constant reassurance.

We're visiting a few friends in the days leading to Christmas, and then spending the Christmas day at home - unwrapping the presents we got for each other. It's the first time we actually got a real tree, put up decorations, and buying presents! Before we kept it low key, traveled places, and just did some donations. Since we're starting a family now, we want to also start traditional celebration to share with the kid (and hopefully kids) going forward.

 Today I am 15 weeks yay!!
 I had a Really fast dr appt yesterday .  I don't know if it was because of the shingles and  he wanted to get me out of there or it's just like a fast check to make sure all was OK

He didn't give me a sono but I did see my nugget and hear the heartbeat!! Best sound! He also said I won't really be able to feel movement till abt wk 20.  I'm also in a rush like you @fuzzydust! And welcome

He also took like 10 vials of blood which I wasn't expecting but he drew my blood and got it on the first try.  I was quite impressed as new ppl take like 3pricks or so to get me.  So far I'm really liking this dr so that's exciting as I was a stress ball over having to find a new OB!!

Next week I go for my wk 16 tests with the high risk dr. Does anyone remember what these tests are??

And here's a laugh for the day as he was trying to figure out what he needed to tell me since it's week 14, he must've taken a look at me and thought this girl needs a spa day stat

i celebrate Chanukah and spent it with my parents on the first night last night.  I have to say this year was very hard buying gifts because I've been so sick so I really got gift cards and maybe one gift to go with it and that will have to be enough this year, luckily my sister did the heavy lifting!!

I love seeing all the decorated homes I think Christmas will be good time to go and check out all the houses without the traffic

@momma6angels11  I can't believe you r moving on to 3rd trimester but so exciting! I feel like we were just in ur TWW! I feel like at times it goes by so slow for me but super quick for everyone else, am I the only one?

No appointments this week 
For Christmas we are going to my sisters house which is only 25 minutes away.. most of my family will be there..
@Hopeful_mom....I know it has seemed like its been going fairly fast... I cant wait to meet these babies

@hopeful_mom I agree it seems to go both slow and fast.  I feel like every week seems to take forever, but when I look overall and think I've already been pregnant for 24 weeks it seems quick, if that makes sense.

Hey everyone! I'm 21 weeks today with twins! I had an appointment last week which was my first one with no ultrasound, and TBH it was kinda strange and super fast. No appointments till next year but at that point my OB says they'll put me on the every other week plan, which will be both reassuring and annoying haha but isn't that how all of pregnancy goes?! 

As for Christmas, we'll likely be doing lunch with the in laws and then heading up to my grandma's. She told me at thanksgiving that she already has a pile of presents for each of the babies, so that will be extra fun! They're her first great grandchildren, so she is definitely doing a good job of spoiling them already!

Question...those of you who have done the diabetes testing already, when did you do it? I know it's coming up but I just keep forgetting to ask about it...

@nmtay I did mine at 24wks 4days and failed my 1hour and had to do the 3hr at 25+4days..

I had my anatomy scan today at 19+4. They said everything looks fine and the baby is 11 ounces and 51% percentile! Not yet a pound and I feel bigger already! So wild. He was face down, so they couldn't get a cute profile picture for me. He was moving around and I still can't really feel him...

I think that so wild that almost 20wks the baby is first a lb! So glad things went well!!! @helloworld9

Hi ladies. 21 wk 6 days with a boy! Last Friday had my anatomy scan and everything was great. Hb was 143 and baby measured ahead and weighed in at 1lb 3 oz. The doctor said he's on track to be a bigger than avg baby. 
Don't really have any plans for Christmas besides going to my parents and the inlaws like we do every year. Im looking forward to the 29th when I start my vacation

Hey ladies!!  22 weeks tomorrow! 

Been a busy few weeks in our home. Husband's grandmother moved in with us, husband came home, and I started a new job (a sit down therapist job, no more community therapy for me!!! Woohoo)

Went to Labor and Delivery two weeks ago after a major bleed! Scary! Learned I have Placenta Previa but doctor expects that my placenta will move up when baby grows. Currently SHE is sitting right on my cervix which is a bother, especially for the husband returning from deployment. Wink!

Completed my Maternal Fetal Level 2 U/S yesterday to confirm sex of baby and to rule out/confirm chromosomal defects. Some of you may recall my Quad Screen came back elevated risk. Happy to report that the MFM does not feel an Amnio is necessary as all measurements are in normal range!!
She does want to continue to monitor baby girl's kidneys as they are not measuring correctly. Dr does not suspect disease as the specific disease is typically carried by the Y chromosome but just to be on safe side. 

Playing with girl names!! The husband is bummed but excited to chose a name and connect to the idea we are having a girl and not the boy of his dreams.

@Prayingfor2 Such good news! I remember your quad screen results. Goes to show false positives are so common.

@Prayingfor2 Thank god everything has turned out good. Ive been thinking of you.  I also had placenta previa. but it was a low lying placenta 4 weeks ago and hopefully next week ill get the news that its no worry anymore.  And pelvic rest can be lifted..

Hi ladies...
i was waiting until i had another appt before checking in.  I am now 25w6d and i still feel pretty good aside from some upper back pain and my ribs hurting from expanding.  Sleeping isnt so easy anymore, but it could be worse. We had an echocardiogram last sunday and our monthly check up on monday(17&18). The extra echo is apparently recommended with ivf babies, but everything was great and at least we got to see our little guy again! The tech even threw in a few 3d pics without us asking! I also had my glucose test on monday and all is well there. 

Christma this year is going to be very hard as my brother passed away unexpectedly in September and we are just trying to find some kind of normalcy. This baby is the only thing helping to keep me sane while trying to hold my parents together. So, one day at a time.

I have to ask about the echo haven't heard much about it.

i can't imagine how hard this holiday will be without your brother.  So sorry your family has to go through such sadness hoping your belly bundle will help bring some joy for the holidays!!
