1.How far along are you? How big is baby? 28 weeks today, let's go 3rd triiiiii! Baby boy is an eggplant.

2.Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing really new, mostly the same old same. Can't sleep, the thirst is real and he's moving like a karate master in my belly.

3.Any appointments this week? Nope! Free week!

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 

5.GTKY: Did you put any guilty pleasures/selfish things/left field items on your registry? Had to explain to the love of my life that no one is going to buy him a matching jersey for his favorite football team even though there's a onesie for the baby on the registry. It still made it's way on there somehow. I scannned a really cute overnighter for my hospital bag. We'll see if I get it!

1.How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks - kale

2.Any new symptoms or changes? Not really. I guess I did have my first crazy pregnancy dream last night... I dreamt MH was cheating on me. It felt soooo real, and I woke up so pissed/sad/upset. I tried to go back to sleep, but I ended up waking him up at 4am and I cried ha 

3.Any appointments this week?
An ultrasound Monday to check on the growth of a fibroid I have. I've been pretty good about not worrying about it because my doctor seems unconcerned, but it will be good to check it for peace of mind. I assume I'll get some new baby pics as well!

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 
I can't think of anything at the moment...

No. I'm boring and too practical I guess

Nothing much other than an annoying cough and chest congestion this week - not fun!

Just had an appointment yesterday and all is well - heartbeat is in the 150s

@SoFlaMommie1128 my first registry experience took forever!! My second was a lot easier bc 1) I needed way less stuff and 2) I went in with a list of what I needed so it was more a matter of picking out patterns than making what seemed like huge life decisions! It can all be overwhelming, but just take your time and go in prepared. The registry thread we have going can provide a lot of great insight/advice!

1.How far along are you? How big is baby? 
25 weeks - cauliflower. (I had to go back to the homepage of my app to remember I'm 25 weeks...good lord!!)

2.Any new symptoms or changes? 
Not really. DH did feel baby kicks last night for the first time...feels late but I've got a lot of cushioning!!

3.Any appointments this week?
Nope!

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 
I passed my 1 hour GD test last week!! My doctor only calls you if you fail, so I was anxiously awaiting a phone call that never came. Whew. Feeling super relieved!!

5.GTKY: Did you put any guilty pleasures/selfish things/left field items on your registry?
Good question! We actually just registered last night! Nothing too crazy as this is my second and I didn't want to be too ridiculous/obnoxious, but we did throw a Texas Rangers onesie, hat and bib set on there...I mean, Little Boy will be here RIGHT before Opening Day, so I see a lot of baseball game watching in my maternity leave future!!

28 weeks!! Hello third trimester!! Baby is as  big as an eggplant.

2.Any new symptoms or changes? 
Nothing new. Still sore hips and some pelvic pressure. A little trouble sleeping. 

3.Any appointments this week?
Nope, had my glucose test and 28 week check-in on Friday. I start going every 2 weeks now.

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 
Not so much this week other than I'm so pumped to be in the third trimester!! It feels like it's going so quick, especially with Christmas in only 2 weeks. 

5.GTKY: Did you put any guilty pleasures/selfish things/left field items on your registry?
My registry is private because we aren't having a shower, so... no, lol.

@cford08 I wouldn't be surprised if your hubby got the jersey! My husband (for our first) put a few Dallas Cowboys things on our registry - bottles, pacis, onesies, etc and got all of it. Someone even crocheted a baby blanket for him in Cowboys colors. 

@stlbuckeye132 I've had the worst pregnancy dreams. They're all super upsetting (like your husband cheating on you). Like, why can't I have the crazy sex dreams other ladies are having?

Just wish this chest cold would go away. There's a knot just under my left ribs that hurts so bad w every cough today. But my pelvic/hip pain is gone, so I guess you gotta take the good with the bad?

3.Any appointments this week?
Check up with 1-hr glucose test. I hope it's not as bad as I'm imagining, I don't even like sweets but it's right at lunch time so at least I get to eat right afterwards. 

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 
After a  couple of minor fights about it and me telling him I resent being put in the gendered role of having to nag him into doing things, DH finally got his stuff out of the nursery and carried up the heavy stuff without me asking this morning! Now I can finally get to work in there!

I was not shy about putting breastfeeding stuff like pads and nipple cream (which I already bought). My mom did ask why I put my prenatals on there and I was like, I'm supposed to keep taking them while breast feeding and I get a discount. hahaha 
Also, nobody has bought the cloth diapering stuff I put on there. I feel like to  Mom's generation that's left field. Like maybe they don't realize how much better and easier it is now. *shrug*

28 weeks! Starting to believe I might not be pregnant forever!

2.Any new symptoms or changes? 

My my doctor changed my blood pressure medication ( I have always had low blood pressure but it got very high around 15-16 weeks and they have had me on medication with lots of at Home checks since) it has been dangerously high lately so now I am on a pregnancy safe beta blocker and it is pretty rough, just knocking me out and making me dizzy and weak. GD os better controlled on insulin injections, but I will have a lot of extra monitoring as a result.. this past week my pelvis feels like it’s broken by the end of the day.

3.Any appointments this week?

OB and more blood work tomorrow. 

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? 

The nursery is finally done being painted and I can’t wait to set up all the furniture that has been sitting in boxes. I LOVE assembling furniture, but after putting together a few small things I realize I am going to need a lot of help. My husband is an awesome room painter but furniture he has put together has a tendency to collapse, so I think I will be buying a case of beer to bribe 2 very handy lady friends. 

5.GTKY: Did you put any guilty pleasures/selfish things/left field items on your registry?

My husband hasn’t cared much about the registry, honestly I think I mostly have because I have been so ill that adjusting them basically became my sad little hobby. I have an amazon one just for us to get some completion discounts and free stuff that is actually just stuff we are planning to buy. The one thing he got really fixated on is this really expensive high chair that reminds him of a cool cutting chair (he is a hair stylist) I had it on our own list thinking we could wait until we actually need one, but I just moved it to the public Buy Buy Baby one because who am I to deny someone the opportunity to laugh at us for wanting a $550 high chair?

@leilaquinn sending good blood pressure vibes your way. I had high BP with DD and it is no joke. You are one tough cookie to be handling BP and GD - and here you are on the home stretch in the 3rd tri!! Get it, mama!!

@leilaquinn you really are a trooper with all you've been going through this pregnancy. The end is near--you've got this!!

Just an update on my end - they couldn't even find the fibroid this morning at my ultrasound, so I guess it hasn't grown! Baby looks great; 2lb1oz and heartbeat 147!

Thank you guys, the support really means a lot, it has been rough, I’m not doing anything strong or special, I am just getting through the days, bitching some days more than others, and it is all fine to get to the day my little buddy is here and safe.

1.How far along are you? How big is baby? 25 weeks on Sunday. Size of a cauliflower? 

2.Any new symptoms or changes? As far as I can tell baby seems to sit on nerve in the afternoon, which has been making walking difficult. Other than that, every couple of days I have difficulties sleeping.

3.Any appointments this week? Glucose at the end of this week, OB next Tuesday.

4.Rants/Raves/Questions? Just tired...

@fatstagnation Yay! I'm not sure if I noticed before either. I know I shared a due date with like one other person, but I forget who at the moment. Not looking forward to the glucose test, though. My sister was telling me how she hated the glucose test, and I've been dreading it since. Here's to hoping we both pass and don't have to do it a second time.
