@NamelessAria@hjungk84 Yep, I do the same thing, it sounds like we all do to some extent...a lot of times either multiple people have already commented what what I would have said or the part of the conversation I want to reply to is old and the thread has moved in a new direction.
Case in point: Molly was (is?) the best American Girl doll I've never been to an American Girl store but I think it would be fun. Maybe this little one will be a girl, so I will have an excuse...hell, maybe I'll have a son who wants one
@katelynrae86 +1 to Molly. I loved her and had all the books. She's the only doll I had other than the Bitty Baby if anyone remembers that one. I think I also had books for Felicity and Samantha, but Molly was my favorite. I used to braid my hair like to look like hers all the time.
I didn't see an American Girl store until I was an adult - my grandmother always ordered stuff out of the catalogues they sent me. I think if kid-me could have gone into an American Girl store I would have probably popped from excitement.
@Austenista ooohhh I loved the bitty baby! I can almost remember the feeling of happiness I had when I played with her and all her accessories. There is a certain caliber of joy in childhood that just can't be beat.
@NamelessAria I feel ya! I can’t past the feeling that I’m always overwhelmed by threads that already have a ton of posts, and I never have time to log on mid day when posts seem new. Or I see a topic I want to comment on, but the responses to that topic died down by the time I get to posting and my comment seems unnecessary and so far down. Here I am now, posting and it isn’t Friday anymore!
@krashkeWhat is your “system” for keeping track of what you are going to respond for so many people? I have a stickie up on my screen, copy and paste ppl’s names, and write my responses as I go. Wondering if there is a better way!
Breastfeeding - I made it to a year with DD, but I confess that a large part of my motivation to keep on keeping on was that it got me to 5 pounds below pre-preg and I ate anything and everything I wanted. I am not naturally skinny, so I relished in the fact I was part of the lucky few that saw weight loss from breast feeding.
