1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks - kale, apparently
2) How are you feeling? Worn out. This is why I started all my Christmas stuff early, though, because pretty much all that's left is wrapping, and I can just sleep all December if I feel like it. (You know, when I'm not taking care of my 2-year-old.)
3) Any appointments this week? Nothing for me until next Wednesday, but my daughter has her 2-year check-up on Monday.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? UGH DIAPER RASH. Reminder to self: always alwaysalways check DD's diaper before going anywhere. Makes me feel like a bad mommy.
5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? I know it drives DH a little nuts, but I love the way my immediate family exchanges gifts. For as long as I can remember, each of us 4 kids has given a gift to each of our siblings and our parents. My parents do 3 gifts per kid, until we get married, and then it's 1 for me, 1 for DH, and 1 for both of us. Anyway, we take a couple hours to do gifts, because we take turns giving them out, and we all watch everybody else open their gifts. It takes a long time, but so many fun things come out of it, like seeing what my 17-year-old brother got for our sister-in-law. Or there were a couple years when he was little where he'd hid behind a chair every time someone opened a gift from him, like he was afraid they'd hate it and throw it at him.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks...10 weeks away from this cerclage from coming out.
2) How are you feeling? Good. I started taking an iron supplement bc I noticed my RBCs to be on the lowest end of normal. It could just be coincidence or my supplement helps.
3) Any appointments this week? Cervix check tomorrow
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? i am past the gestation I had my oldest at. It's always a great milestone to reach. Going tonight to make her bear. It's two days late, so maybe I will go overdue with her:)
5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas morning with little kids. We don't have many traditions. Sorry, we are boring.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks, kale bundle
2) How are you feeling? Pretty good! No complaints. (I feel like I've had this way too easy and I'll have a 48 hour labor or something to compensate)
3) Any appointments this week? Nope, not until the 20th.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I can't wait for my next OB appointment because then I will start going every 2 weeks! With my AP, (can't really feel movement), the time in between appointments feels so long and it always comforts me to hear the heartbeat.
5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? This is a tough one. Ever since my husband and I got married, I feel like my family hasn't held out the same traditions as when I was a kid. I'm excited to start new traditions with this baby but I don't know what those will be yet. I'll be checking back on this thread for ideas! @LeahS927 I always like everyone watching gifts being opened instead of everyone opening at once. I feel like you miss out if everyone is focused on their own present! I do hate opening gifts in front of people in general, but I think it's much better that way.
Me: 30 DH: 31 Married: May 2008 DD Born: March 2018 DS Born: April 2019 Due with #3 December 2020!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks - Kale
2) How are you feeling? Pretty decent overall. Mild headcold and the achey pelvis is really limiting my productivity, but I'm still making do.
3) Any appointments this week? Got my glucose test on Monday, whee. Trying the orange flavor.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Child I understand that you're very excited to have figured out what 'Down' is, but if you could please give me just one day where you don't use this newfound knowledge to headbutt me in the cervix I would really appreciate it.
5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas pickle. Not that we ever really did it while I was growing up, but we always had it on the tree, and now I have my own christmas pickle for my house. Alternatively, we'd always get to open 1 gift on xmas eve. Never one of the big ones, but it was really nice.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks - Kale!
2) How are you feeling? - Good! Just A bit tired and getting over a cold / sinus thing.
3) Any appointments this week? - Yes - tomorrow my OB checkup and glucose test. Not looking forward to drinking the glucola. Going in every two weeks from here on out!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Just love how my DD is responding to this. She's very into reading books about new babies at the moment. Going to sign her up for a sibling preparation class at the hospital next month.
5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? - decorating the tree with Christmas music or movie in the background. Also all the cooking I do! And on Christmas morning we always have croissants and mimosas for breakfast. Going to have to skip the mimosa this year. Boooo.
