  • @KayLee77 Thanks for creating this thread!

    What's your EDD? December 21

This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that? Sooo excited and ready- almost there! I'm really hoping that she comes before Christmas so that her birthday will be more special.

What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared? I'm so ready. I did some major nesting over the weekend (cleaned out the pantry, fridge, did some major cleaning), so the house is ready! I need to sterilize bottles and pacifiers tonight, but that's it.

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? My next appointment will be Wednesday morning (37 + 6). My doctor will do another cervix check (I was dilated 1 cm and effaced 75% at last Wednesday's appointment). Hoping for more solid progress!

Rants/Raves? Rant- I desperately want a good night's sleep! Waking up every two hours to go to the bathroom  is torture. Rave- Almost to the finish line! I am so ready to be done with pregnancy and onto the next step.

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy? How long pregnancy feels when you're going through it. I always thought it would fly by, but I feel like I've been in a holding pattern since I found out in May (relatively late at 8 weeks). I also thought I would bond more with the baby in utero, but she still doesn't seem quite real to me. Though I think that'll all go away once I'm holding her in my arms.  :)

This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
Im super excited and amazed at how fast this time has gone.  I want to meet this team green baby!

What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?

For the most part, I'm pretty prepared.  Just need to finish up laundry and get the basinet in our room. and finish finals next week and then this LO can arrive. I was able to get a bunch done last week when my mom came over to help me organize.   The birth part, I don't feel prepared,  I wasn't feeling right last night and started to feel like I was getting an anxiety attack thinking about giving birth, even though my last delivery was great, I feel more terrified this time for some reason.

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?

I have an NST, and my 38 week appt tomorrow, which they will check to see if I'm dilated at all, and then another NST on Friday.  No big questions or concerns.

     Rants/Raves?

Raves - I  got an email from Target earlier that I could go pick up my breast pump since insurance processed it.  They were telling me that they would send it out this morning and I could pick it up at the end of the week.  I was excited to get it today, so I just finished sanitizing all the bottles and parts.

Rants - Even though I feel pretty good for being at the end, the down low pelvic pain by the end of the day is insane.  I don't remember it being that bad with my other two.

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy?
I feel the same way of not feeling very bonded to this baby.  I don't know if its because I've been so distracted with my boys and school, or if its just different since we didn't find out what we were having.  Its going to get super real, super quick!

This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
Excited! But I hope I last at least through the week! I’ve got stuff to do! Haha

What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
I need to work this week (subbing for others, still leaving plans and training people) plus I need to pick a pediatrician and finish cleaning the house. Too much! I’m trying to mentally prepare that I may not get it all done, and that it’s ok.

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Tomorrow. Standard appt. Wondering if they will ever check my dialation

     Rants/Raves?
Rave- random young man approached me at work saying that he was a massage therapist student and they were looking for women who were pregnant for hours at school, so I may get a free massage!

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy? The lack of symptoms and strength that I still have. Even though I knew I would dance throughout my pregnancy I had heard so many stories and complaints that I assumed I would be the same towards the end. Only issue I’ve got going on now is some heartburn and insomnia, but I’ll take it! Also it’s flown by!

    Prepared!

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
I had my 37 wk appt yesterday and she checked me for the first time since I had been having some contractions over the weekend. I was 1cm/50%/-2

    Rants/Raves?
Rant - HORRIBLE pelvic pain. I don't remember having these sharp pains when I was pregnant with DS. But, the end is in sight!

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy?
That I am team green LOL. I never thought I would be able to do a surprise like this, but I am so happy that we did!

It's fun being team green. I never thought I'd be able to do it either. We found out with both our boys and even though we loved doing that. I love the fact we held out.  I had to convince dh to wait and he has said hes glad we didn't find out, it's a fun surprise.

  • @KayLee77 - We found out with DS as well. Since this is our last I didn't want to know, but DH did. He still gives me a hard time about it lol but I told him that I am doing all the work so I get the final say!

Unprepared lol. then i just tell my self it is what it is. but honestly i'm going to try to get more prepared at work at least.

What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
I have everything together and organized. i know it will eventually come together just not sure if it will before baby comes...

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Well I had my appt this week and I'm now 1 cm dilated. Contractions seemed to have calmed down but suddenly today I've had swelling in my ankles. Not sure why but my feet are up right now.

     Rants/Raves?
My doctor is out of town until the week I'm due. I do like the other doctors in the office though. I just keep wondering if when and how labor will happen.... even though I would love to deliver right around my due date.

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy?
For me pregnancy went by fast in the beginning but I was not expecting to be sick and on meds my entire pregnancy. I'm thankful I've not had any other issues especially considering the amount of sweets I've craved. I never expected that. I also did not expect the return of having certain foods making me feel sick for this last trimester.

Want him to stay in until at least the 15th so I don’t have to start maternity leave before my official Christmas break.

What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
Just tons of things for work. This is a very busy time of year to be a kindergarten teacher!

What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
I had one yesterday and had no special concerns. Blood pressure still perfect, baby head down. I’m not getting internal checks.

     Rants/Raves?
My husband just finished installing an automatic garage door opener all by himself so I don’t have to go in the rain with baby! I love him so much, he worked so hard and it took quite a while! I didn’t even care about having it but he insisted.

GTKY: What was your biggest surprise about pregnancy?
I thought It would be a lot harder on me physically. Especially because I’m only 5ft4. But really I have had such an easy pregnancy. Very few complaints and the ones I have are minor. So lucky. I just hope that doesn’t mean I’m getting payback during delivery
