The tech could not get over how cooperative this kid was! We were done with the scan in under 25min! She just kept going on and on about how easy this baby is. I really wanted a girl too! I cried as well, but then I realized how lucky I am to be pregnant and carry my own child, cliche I know. So many pluses to having a boy as well. I’ve just put my dreams of having a daughter on the back burner and hopefully baby #2 is a girl for us.
@silverhope and @mmb4532 you totally get to feel how you feel, but a son’s love is like no other... precious and priceless!
Stuck in a box! Anyways just wanted to echo this. Boys are incredibly sweet. Something I didn't full know until I had one of my own. Yes he's a bit rough and tumble sometimes but he also has the biggest heart ❤️
Our girl was happy and healthy today at our scan! Not many good pics but everything measured like it should and checked out. Sorry if the pic is huge, I’m on mobile so I can’t tell!

Rants/Raves? Baby was perfect, no issues. Neural tube defects were a concern due to a genetic defect I have, so I had to see the high risk doctor for this scan. Such a relief! Baby was all curled up and the tech couldn't get a few needed views of the heart, but the Dr managed to get them. Always a bit concerning when they spend so long in one area, but they reassured me everything was fine.

Our effort or yours? Did you call YOUR doctor and ask why they believe YOU don't need an anatomoy scan? That would be a lot easier than going into a forum you never participate in to ask a bunch of strangers who wouldn't be able to give you a valid answer anyway.

Actually it did take effort for the girls to respond and say you should call your doctor, they could have just ignored you. If you read any of the stuff that says READ THIS FIRST you would have known that board etiquette says you need to introduce yourself and that there is a weekly questions thread for questions like yours. I mean obviously you made no effort to read any of the stuff that says READ THIS FIRST so I’m not sure why you are surprised you didn’t get the answer you wanted.
Also if you lurked you would see that generally we don’t ask the community for answers that we could get from our doctor unless it’s for discussion purposes (ie my doctor does this/what’s does yours do?), or to discuss with the group before we are able to contact our doctor. I’m not sure why you didn’t just ask your doctor this question when he/she said they wouldn’t be doing an anatomy scan but I guess that’s not the point.
Anyways, wanted to make sure I put some effort into this post so you wouldn’t be offended that random internet strangers couldn’t explain to you your doctors preferences and why he/she chose to not perform an AS.
If you actually want to be a part of the community, I suggest reading all those posts you previously ignored, changing the username, and jumping in to contribute (not just posting about yourself). Best of luck with your pregnancy.

The ultrasound technician had told us at our 16 week ultrasound that it was a boy and a girl. I'm not sure if she forgot that and when we asked "is this the boy?" as she was doing the anatomy scan, she said, "I don't know the sexes yet." UMMMM....nervousness! But, eventually she confirmed Baby A is the boy and Baby B is the girl! Baby's name? We are keeping it hush hush until they come! Include a pic if you want! Of course! We think baby girl (B) is sucking her thumb which just made all gushy and mushy!
