What's new with baby? She is getting more coordinated which makes her movements stronger and crazier.
What's new with mama? Not much. My weight has finally leveled off a bit (I was gaining really rapidly in the beginning, which is backwards from how it should be I think?) so I'm happy.
Rants/Raves: I got my first stretch marks. Under my boobs. At least they are kind of hidden? They actually may have been there for a while but the boob growth has been real and I have to lift them up to see there.

What's new with baby? I had my regular appointment Wednesday and 2.0 was doing great. He still kicks the Doppler or anything pressing on my stomach. Yesterday I think he non-stop kicked me all day—which on the one hand is reassuring and on the other, kinda hurts. Ha.
What's new with mama? I did my glucose screening Wednesday too and they said no news is good news so... hopefully I don’t get a call back.
Rants/Raves: My lower back is killing me the past two days, which I haven’t had like this. I’m not sure what to do to get some relief. I’ve been using a heat pad on my neck and so I tried that last night but it only felt better while the heat pack is on.

MH likes Samuel, nn Sam, and while I have no objections, it just doesn’t seem to click for me the way DS1’s name did. Joseph will be the middle name after my grandfather, but we’ve discussed that as a first name too. So far I’ve been switching off between calling him Sam or Joe and perusing name lists to see if anything jumps out at me. We also like Thomas, after my dad—but he objects to the idea of us naming a kiddo after him. Nathaniel has been tossed around, along with Theodore, and Delaney.

Total karate master in there. Doing great - this one has been a tough kicker from early on.
What's new with mama?
I’m on week 3 of crotch infections! First I had a yeast infection AND bacterial vaginosis. So I was on an antibiotic pill and putting cream up my lady parts for a week. Then I just had a suspicion something still wasn’t right in there so I went back to be tested. Still had the bacterial infection. So 7 days on an antibiotic gel I was putting up in the lady bits. I finished that Monday and could see my discharge was looking yeasty. So I got tested yesterday and we’ll see what the results say. Ughhhhh. I’d like to have sex sommmmmetime before I reach whale status.

See above for the rant. I’ve never had a single lady infection/uti/anything so this is an adjustment. Rave - excited we bought a video monitor on Black Friday. We didn’t use one for our first two but always wanted to try one!
Questions:
Anyone else having all these infections? Tips to keep them gone once I clear them? I use no scented soaps or detergents, I’ve now started eating live culture yogurt, I have even stopped taking baths for now...

baby is a night owl- 10:30pm until 1 is crazy time.

i have had a terrible cold for over a week. I cough half the night and have been sleeping on the couch to let everyone else sleep better. I am still under where i started at for weight which is awesome.

What's new with baby?
Not too much, she still has a nice strong heartbeat in the 140's so next week is my last weekly heartbeat check until I'm "out of the woods" so to speak in terms of heart development. Girlfriend has also decided that 2:30-3:30 AM is the best time ever to have a dance party and it's waking me up every night. While I love feeling movement I wish it wouldn't mess with my sleep so much! She also doesn't seem to like when I bend or lean forward (guess I'm putting pressure on her?) and starts moving around a lot whenever I do that
What's new with mama?
At my dr's apt yesterday he told me he wants me to go see a hematologist. At my GD test (which I passed with a 95-bring on the sweets!) they test iron levels too. I've always had low iron even when not pregnant and since pregnancy makes it worse I started taking an iron supplement right away. My iron level was 9 (don't know what that means except apparently it's pretty low) so he wants me to go see someone to get that level back up because apparently as your pregnancy progresses your iron level decreases even more and he doesn't want me to have to get a blood transfusion after birth. I didn't know but he said that you lose more blood with each successive birth so since this is my third he wants my iron levels back up. He's not sure if I'll be prescribed an oral or an IV but I put in a call first thing this morning to make an appointment.
Rants/Raves:
DH gave me a full body massage last night and it felt amazing! I wish it hadn't been at 3AM (baby was up partying and he wanted to relax me). He's also started being a little more over-protective. For example I wanted to go out at 11 a few nights ago to order something from the gas station from down the road which has amazing MTO's (If you live in western/central PA you've heard of Sheetz before-it's awesome!) and he said he'd rather we go together but that wasn't possible since both of the kids were already sleeping (obviously). I was going to go and try to be nice to save him a trip but he decided to get dressed and go himself because he didn't want me out driving around and going to a gas station (even though we don't live in a bad area, upper-middle class) so I got to stay at home in the nice warm house and wait for him to come back with my order. Anybody else's SO becoming over-protective?

See above! Haha DH and I are having a difficult time picking out a name for this baby. Our first was pretty simple and with the second I lobbied hard (and got!) the little boy name I always wanted. This one is hard for us to pick out especially one we both agree on. The name I like such as Cora, Ava, and Emma have all been vetoed. The only one we've both agreed on so far has been Abigail nn Abby. We're looking at lists online and just looking around when we're out for inspiration.

What's new with baby? She's still a ninja that loves fruit and her daddy's voice! She just goes crazy when he talks to her. Melts my heart!
What's new with mama? I FINALLY slept last night after weeks of restless sleep. I'm sure that was a one time thing though. I failed my one hour GD test so I have the 3 hour one next weekend. Yippie. -_-
Rants/Raves: So a few months back I had bitched about how my DH's cousins didn't respond to any of our pregnancy stuff and they still haven't acknowledged it. So last night facetiming with his mom, she asked us if we have received any registry gifts from any of them (we never told her about the subtle battle going on with them but she obviously knows.) I told her NO we haven't and quite frankly we don't expect anything from them. If they don't want to acknowledge the baby and be in her life, their loss. I'm not going to chase them and make them love her. So that annoyed me. My DH said when we got off the phone, "well it's obvious now."
Guess what? Don't care. If she wants to tell them what I said, be my guest. They already know.

What's new with baby? She has been kicking up a storm today and rolling around and who knows what. Yesterday I felt her all over my cervix and bladder and ?rectum. Today, in the belly button zone. Supposedly she is "learning" where she is in space, so let's hope she ends up head down!
What's new with mama? I just worked like 7 days in a row if you count these mandatory Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes I had to take earlier in the week (on that note, please do not learn me about not-breathing babies right now thx), so I'm pooped, BUT now have SEVEN DAYS OFF!! I bought some fancy ravioli from the Italian grocery and am looking forward to a chill, easy dinner with my husband.
Rants/Raves: See above, but also random rib pain while sleeping? Over it. Also waking up soooo achey... I think the perpetual physical discomfort era of pregnancy is dawning for me.
Also can't help but be SO optimistic about Flynn taking our Molester-in-Chief down with him. Please!?!?!

We haven't decided yet and will probably just daydream with a purpose until she is born and we see her. Althea (nn Al or Thea) has been a strong contender. We also like Jane. My husband likes Opal, and opals are a thing for us (my engagement ring is an opal, for example), but I'm not into it as a name. TBD!
@mdfarmchick we don't have the most conventional taste in names necessarily, but we really liked Gideon, Vincent, and Julian/Julien for a boy.
@LaurenAnn0405 I have a bunch of girl names we’ve agreed on, Julia, Samantha ((nn Sam)), Josephine ((nn Jo)), Aubrey ((nn Bree)), Eliana, and I do like Abigail with the nn Abby. Those are just a few.

27... yikes!!! Can't believe it! Since I'll be induced early that means 9-10 weeks left for me!

Moving alllll over! Definitely been getting jabbed in the cervix lately which is always fun. *TW* I've had two friends with premature/late term losses recently so I am truly trying to cherish it all... even the not so fun pregnancy moments.
What's new with mama?
I passed my GD test last week, I'm relieved because I've had a major sweet tooth!!! We had an ultrasound last week too and baby looks great! My bile acids came back a little higher than they have been but I'm pretty sure it's from missing a few doses of my medicine when I was sick. The itching has subsided since I've been back to my regular medication schedule!

What's new with baby? Nothing much. I can see movement now so I stare at my belly when I can lol the rolling motion has started so I guess that's new.
What's new with mama? I am just TIRED. I need like 2 weeks off from work!! #drained
Rants/Raves: I am awake (it's almost 5am here) and I drank a little juice a little bit ago because my throat was dry, and it gave me heartburn! Which made me realize I haven't been having continuous no-matter-what-I-eat-or-drink heartburn like with DD. But I just now remembered that I with her, I noticed I hadn't had it in a while, and BAM or was back with a vengeance.
Questions: if anyone else is "overweight/obese" (according to the dr) does your OB consider it to be "complicating" your pregnancy?

If it's a girl (since DH doesn't want to think about girl names because he's gung-ho about having a boy lol) I've decided on a name myself which I love and which happens to be composed of his same initials so, kinda naming her after him? Lol
ETA -- I even had "adult diaper rash" too! Like wtf is that?! Lol
@LaurenAnn0405 I hadn't heard that about low iron. I hope that's not always true. I'm on #2 and I had to do my GD test early ("du e to my weight" grr) and they didn't say anything about my iron, but maybe they weren't looking. Also, seems like you like "old" girl names. I recently came to like Ruby, but I won't be using it so... lol
@orbmaker I LOVE the name Jane!! And also Julian (cc @mdfarmchick) although I wanted it for a girl -- Julienn.
