Re: Due Date Check in Fourth Week [w/o 11/30]

  • Hi, not sure I've posted in this thread before. TW-had a loss in Sept 17 so have be apprehensive about participating too much-end TW. 10 weeks today, EDD 6/28. I have a 2.5 year old DS who was born on 6/25, so that will be interesting!

Not too much going on here. I feel like I have more energy some days, which is awesome. The blump is real and I feel like people at work either think I'm really enjoying myself or KO'd. Didn't pop with DS until 17 weeks, wahhhh! My next appt is 12/6 and hoping to hear hb on the doppler.

Anyone else sweating all the time? There hormones have put my sweat glands into overdrive and I've double up on an undershirt and deodorant. That can go away anyyyyy time now!

  • @courtyowl427, I’m so sorry for your loss. Please don’t be afraid to participate. Participating in these threads isn’t going to jinx you but I do understand your hesitation. I had to tell myself that a few weeks ago.

I am doing ok this week. Tomorrow I am going in for a repeat urine to make sure the UTI is gone and to do an early glucose test. So FX that goes well and I don’t have to do it again. They said I don’t have to fast but I’m going to try to not eat for an hour or two beforehand since I’m doing it in the afternoon.
I feel so much better which is worrying me. I might stop nausea meds for a day or two to see if I start feeling sick again. Two more weeks until my next US and I cannot wait.

  • I had an appointment yesterday to do a thorough dating ultrasound and confirm I have a cyst and not twins. Cyst was confirmed, I'm still bummed but glad to see a healthy baby. HR was 170 and the little jelly bean was wiggling around which is always amazing to see. My midwife pushed my due date back to July 3rd though, so I'm probably going to try being active here and on July. I go in for my nipt test next week and we should have the results by my next appointment on Dec 20th.

  • New official due date 6/26. 10 + 2. Double digits!
I've got the boobs and the blump. No big updates.

@profmcgonagall Are you doing an early glucose test because of a history of GD? Also, I'm starting to feel the nausea lift. A lot of sites say MS peaks at 9 weeks.

@courtyowl427 my sister and had birthdays 9 days apart and were also 3 years apart. I always felt like my birthday was special and I got a separate party. Maybe try and have this baby at least a week after your sons bday. ;)
  • Nothing much. I’ve been MIA posting a lot, but I’m reading mostly everything.

This has been a long week at school. It’s always hard coming back from a break and getting back into routine. It also didn’t help that they moved my classroom on Sunday night and left all my stuff in a pile on the floor, so Monday morning, I had to completely set up a new classroom...with 11 four year olds in it!

this weekend should be fun. Tomorrow we’re going to a holiday farmers market at an equestrian center. DD is horse obsessed, so she it going to be over the moon!

Sunday is riding lessons for DD and just getting ready for the week. Hopefully getting Christmas lights up on the house some time this weekend, too.

  • @courtyowl427 I am so sorry for your loss, but am glad you have decided to participate! The blump is definitely real here too haha!  I think my students think i ate too much Turkey :)
@profmcgonagall How did your urine test go?  I hope your UTI cleared.  I've been dealing with one too.  and FX for your glucose test.  When will you get the results?
@fitzandgiggles I'm sorry for all the chaos with the twin/not twins situation.  That just totally blows and isn't fair.  So glad the little jelly bean was active though!  I agree- it is always amazing to see!
    @llamamama14 Yay for double digits!!!!
@katelynrae86 Yay for NIPT testing!!  That is awesome you are able to do it this time around.  Your announcement is adorable <3
@katykat03 I hear ya about it being a long week at school.  We have 4 full 5 day weeks until christmas break and I think i might die haha  Why did you have to move classrooms?

AFM: Things have been crazy.  DD had the stomach bug Wednesday night, and i swear little people vomit is the worst ever.  Are new furniture is also ready to be delivered so now we are in the mad rush to get all the old stuff moved, and paint all before next friday.

I've been feeling kinda okay.  I think a lot of my MS might of been due to not eating enough.  I hadn't realized, but I lost 5+ pounds, and once I increased my food intake, I started feeling better.  It still peeks around 4pm - 6pm, but overall I've been able to get away with just taking one Diclegis at night.

No appts until the 11th and 12th.

  • @katelynrae86 your cookies look professional and I want to copy your idea. So cute. For real I might copy that. (That's ok, right? Since I don't know you IRL.) You could add something in your caption related to one cookie still in the oven/ coming June 18...

Of course, that's more than okay! And thank you! When I thought of it, I was actually surprised that i didnt see anything like it on pinterest :) I like that idea about cookie in the oven, or one still baking maybe.
  • @llamamama14, no history of GD. They just it’s because of my higher BMI and history of PCOS

@sunshineandwhiskey, just did my urine and am in the process of the glucose test now, I will probably be able to look up the results online next week but they won’t tell me anything until my next appt unless the results are bad.

  • @sunshineandwhiskey little people vomit is the worst. I think because they can't control where it goes so it just happens wherever they are. So much cleaning. So sorry.  Carefully clean.  You don't want to catch it.
    @profmcgonagall I see.
  • Week is going good-ish. I've been sick the past few days, so I feel like death. But I feel better today than I have been, so that's cool. I've lost 3 lbs over the past two days, though, so, trying to take more food in today while still being careful.
We may go to a Christmas parade this evening, H is working tomorrow, but there's a bunch of craft shows and stuff going on, so if I'm feeling better I may go check them out.
Next appt is Dec. 18. I messaged my OB's office about NIPT and an NT scan on Monday and have yet to get anything back. And of course, long distance circuits are busy (wtf? this is 2017. come on.), so I can't call anyone.

Has anyone actually done an official announcement yet? Most of the posts on the announcement thread have been what people want to do or plan to do, with very few of what people have actually done...
I thought about making a Christmas-esque card with a picture of the 3 of us, the u/s picture (I was hoping to get another one before closer to Christmas), and a picture of the extra stocking hanging up to announce on social media, but... I'm not sure if that's what I'll actually do or not. My mum wants to make the baby's stocking, so we'll see if that happens.
H is absolutely no help at all. His only contribution is that he wants to wait until we have another u/s so baby looks more like a baby than a blob.

  • @sunshineandwhiskey I had to move classrooms because they finally finished the nursery here and the class using the room I’m in now finally moved out. I’ve been using the studio as my room since August. I knew it was coming but it was not fun on a Monday morning.

I am really learning the unglamorousness of pregnancy this week, but I’m excited to share this story! :)

Ive been so weak and nauseous all week. Like too weak to shower weak so I just didn’t for 3 days. And After taking one too many hours of last minute time off (bc I’m sorry I can’t plan ahead when nausea will turn from bearable to blowing chunks...) I got the ‘we need to talk’ email from my boss. Ugh.

And it all crescendo’d tonight on a double date with my friend’s new guy. The food is taking longer than expected at the restaurant, so I pull out my snack baggie of apple Cheerios. Ain’t no shame in my game. But it isn’t enough. My belly has been empty too long and hormones aren’t happy.

I excuse myself and speed walk towards the restroom. Thank goodness I make it in a stall. I throw up with enough force to fully pee my brand new maternity pants. Yes at 10 weeks I bought maternity pants, the blump is real. Anyways, I ugly cry in the bathroom stall with my pants down bc obvi I don’t want to put them back on.

I finally pull it together, fix my mascara, and pull my pants up with enough paper towels stuffed in between me and the wet fabric so I can’t feel it. I waddle back to my seat, knowing that anyone who cares to look will definitely know this woman has peed her pants.

Happy ending? I’m the way home, sitting on the towel he covered over the passenger seat, DH laughs with me at the situation, squeezes my hand and says, “You are still the most beautiful woman I know. And when you are in the hospital, after birth, wearing pads and those mesh panties, I will still know that I’m the luckiest man in the world.”

    TL:DR-
My life at 10 weeks. Pregnancy sucks. I’m excited to be on this journey with you ladies :)
