38 + 3 today. Can’t believe we are almost to the finish line! The last week has been horrible though. Lots of false labor and back pain, just makes me so much more anxious to meet our little guy. This is my first day off work...sort of not sure what to do with myself. I’m supposed to “rest and take it easy”......

QOTW: I’ve never been a Black Friday/cyber Monday shopper.....we got some good deals on baby stuff earlier on and were gifted most of the big items, so we really don’t need anything at this point. Which is actually a really nice feeling

Hi everyone I'm joining the 3rd trimester this week I am 28w3d with baby girl, My current EDD is 2/17/18. I have twin 4yr old girls from IVF in 2012. I have my big 28w apt tomorrow it comes with a growth ultrasound, tdap shot and glucose test I can't wait for tomorrow mornings drink lol. My OB may update my EDD after the growth ultrasound. I was measuring ahead during the heart echo and my tummy is a little large. We will have a scheduled c-section at 39w but if she comes earlier on her own we will try a vbac.

QOTW: I did a little black Friday shopping for the twins but nothing for the new baby. Today I did cash in on a cyber Monday deal for Rockin Green laundry detergent. I'm a big cloth diaper person and need to stock up on stripper and detergent

@thucks can't believe ur starting 3rd trimester yay!!! Nice it's flying by for u god things are progressing so well!! Ur hubby is outnumbered yay for princesses!!!

@Hopeful_mom Yes the hubby is for sure out numbered. I'm not really a girly girl but these twins sure have converted me and so will this little girl. Yes things have been progressing well with this pregnancy I sure am blessed with that.

Just a quick update. OB did a cervical check and zero progress So apparently you can have 4 days of painful contractions that don’t even lead to any effacement. Boo! 

He suggested we get an induction scheduled for next week since I’m not allowed to go past 40 weeks. Was a bit disheartening to hear that.

@PoeMasque I'm sorry you've not made any progress despite the contractions. I hope your little one decides to come before an induction is needed. This may sound silly but I think the thing that made me the saddest about scheduling my c-section for the twins was picking their birthday for them... I wanted them to get to pick their birthday
@thucks WELCOME!! hooray for making it to the third tri! I am also a big cloth diaper fan. This singleton is going to have quite a stash from the twins!

AFM: plugging along and 36+1 here. I have a MW appointment later this week and will get my GBS test. I need this kid to stay put for a few more weeks because we had a bunch of last minute home repairs come up and I want them done before the baby gets here!

I just got to work from my 28week apt. What a day. Baby Amber is 3lbs 5oz in the 60th percentile and we are officially scheduled for a c-section on 2/12 @ 8am. If she decides to come early on her own thats fine too. Shes going to be a big girl. I'm measuring a head about 30w but we are not adjusting the due date. Sorry the pic is so big I'm not sure how to make it smaller or different.

@PoeMasque I'm sorry that your having such strong contractions but no process. Kinda seems like a tease. I hope he moves along on his own and you don't have to be induced. 
@wabash15 Yes we have a very large stash from the twins like 50 some diapers and it's really hard not to buy more I love, love, love the patterns. I kind of want to destash and buy new. 

So today while I was at my OB apt my husband was having trouble breathing (he has a chest cold and history of bad asthma) My OB excused himself and was paying attention to DH for a little bit which was fine cause I was just trying to get him to go to the walk in while we were in town. Well the OB convinced him to go. So we left the OB office and went to the nearest convenient care which is downstairs from my RE office. I got to go in and see my old techs and nurses while I was there. While in Convenient Care the nurse was actually an old RE nurse she switched positions so that was awesome to. I miss them so much sometimes cause your a real person with a journey not just another prego lady.

@thucks cloth diapers are an addiction! so many cute patterns!!! I hope DH is doing ok.

@wabash15 you totally nailed how I feel today! They scheduled induction for the evening of Dec 7th, so baby should come on his due date, which totally feels like us picking his bday. Something about him being scheduled on his due date is annoying to me! Not sure why. 

@thucks cloth diapers definitely are addictive! We have more than we need already and I still can’t stop putting cute covers in my Amazon cart.....just in case we need more....haha.

@PoeMasque hugs. I don't know why it was/is so important to me. Maybe it has something to do with IF and all the interventions needed to get pregnant. I just wanted things to happen "normally", you know you meet someone, fall in love, make love to make a baby, said baby grows for 9 months then chooses when to enter the world and bam you have a family, easy peasy. we all know it doesnt always happen that way but it should....

I think I'm the only one due after the new year but I'm working on Christmas cards. Do I put the new babies name along with our names? Feels kind of odd to put an unborn babies name.

I had my baby on Tuesday! I went into labor on Tuesday morning (2 days ahead of schedule) and I was lucky to have a pretty quick, uncomplicated labor and delivery. Woke up that morning with contractions already 5 mins apart and by the time my doula arrived about an hour later they were 3 mins apart. DH and our doula took me to the hospital at that point, and I was already 8cm when I arrived! Transition phase came soon after and then I started pushing. Pushing was intense, but only lasted about an hour, and then he was here! Our baby was born about 2 hours after we arrived at the hospital! It was such a crazy beautiful experience! Back at home with my baby and DH after a short hospital stay. We named our baby Bram and he is the king of my heart! So in love with him! I can't believe that a year ago I was going through treatment for infertility and now I am a mom!!

Congrats @Jeansis !! What a great birth story!! He is absolutely lovely. I was just thinking the same thing the other day....we started TTC 2 years ago on Nov 1 and I can’t believe we will finally be parents in a few days!

@JEANSIS such a beautiful baby boy!!! I'm so glad you had a great labor.  I love his little button nose. 
It is amazing the timing of everything. We went back to the doc to start trying again 2 years ago Feb 3rd and our baby should be here around Feb 12th. Such a long rough journey but well worth it in the end.
