I thought this was fun and we can't have our week be left out! Also, I always need the reassurance that I'm not the only one due soooooooo late.

What's your EDD?
This week we can finally say, five weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Rants/Raves?
GTKY: What are your Thanksgiving plans? Have you or your family made changes this year to accommodate your pregnancy?
Edited because not all of us are on weekly appointments yet!
Re: Due Date Check-In (EDD 12/24-12/31) - Week of 11/20/17
12/30
Meh, it sorta feels like a long time, especially with everyone talking about having c-sections/inductions scheduled or even having their babies already!
Nursery stuff. Our glider is piled with clothes from 6-18 months. I need to sort those and put them away somewhere. We also need to hang stuff on the walls, and order two more picture ledges from IKEA, and anchor the furniture... Plus we have all of our baby stuff to take out of boxes and set up around the house (i.e. pack 'n play, RnP, mamaroo, etc). I really wish we could just do that now, but I don't really want them to collect dust. Lol.
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
As far as I know it'll just be weight, BP, measurement, & HB check as always. It's tomorrow.
Rave: I'm getting thank you notes done! I took the whole year allowed to finish wedding thank yous, so I'm proud of myself (not that I would've given myself a year to do these--I want them all sent out before she's here!).
Going to my mom's like normal. It's just over an hour drive. One difference is DH has to work Friday, so he'll have to leave super early Friday morning to go to work and come back that night, because we're staying through Sunday. But that doesn't have anything to do with the baby, obviously.

What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? I have one in just over a week. I will get my GBS test and then just a basic midwife appointment. No I don't think I have any big questions at this point. I did ask her at my last appointment how long they would let me go since i'm hoping for a Vbac and induction options are limited. My midwife said they would let me go till 41 weeks. (most places its 40) but we would be having some serious discussions if we get to that point.

Plans are to go to MIL's house for dinner. We normally would drive 5-6 hours to DH's extended family and also try to see my family (2 hours away) but I did not want to be in the car for that long in one day..... and DH has to work on Friday.... I have no idea what we'll do next year with the LO.... but this year we're staying close to home.
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? Next week at 36 weeks we're doing GBS and an ultrasound to see if this baby is secretly large like my son, so far nothing is indicating that will be the case, so I'm hoping that holds true. As much as I don't want to go late, I'm not sure I want to be induced at 39 weeks either...
No but seriously. Pregnancy has lasted forever but now that it's the end I'm. freaking. out. Giving birth has been a lifelong fear of mine so I don't know how to cope.
Actually pack the hospital bag. I have most of what I need in a pile, but haven't packed yet since I still have to wear some of the clothing. I guess I could pack the rest at least. Also need to inspect/install carseat but we might be getting a new car here at the last minute so I've been putting that off too.
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
I get the GBS test next week. I'm worried I currently have a yeast infection though and can't decide if I should call or just wait it out. Also would love to know exactly how LO is positioned because I can't tell at all.
I'm not at all prepared for maternity leave. Due to my own screw-up, it will be unpaid, and my boss hasn't let me speak to HR yet (I won't technically qualify for FMLA until a few days after my EDD so she's worried HR will give us a hard time if we go to them too early, so I understand, but ugh.)
DH has to work and I don't want to travel by myself, so we may not do anything until the weekend. There's even a chance we won't see them at all because they decided to go to the beach (timeshare type situation) instead of "home" home, which bums me out a lot, since I definitely won't be able to go home for Christmas. The beach has no good hospital in case of an emergency on my end and is farther away by over an hour so I just can't decide if it would be worth the risk (plus it's cold so what's the point?). My sweet parents did offer to compromise and not stay there all weekend but it seems silly for them to haul my grandmother all the way to the beach and then haul her back home 2 days later just so I can say I went "home" for Thanksgiving. I'm crazy and hormonal but I AM trying not to be selfish, LOL
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? I have my 34w appt tomorrow. They mentioned at one of my first appts maybe doing my GBS at 34w instead of 36w since I had DS at 36w last time, but no one has mentioned it since, so I'm not sure. I always feel like a dork when she asks if I have any questions or concerns at each appt because things have basically been pretty smooth, and most of the birth center procedure/process info is on handouts I was given, so I'm always just like, "No, I don't think so right now." lol I should actually think of some things now that I'm getting closer.
Me: 36 DH: 41
@oncape100615 I hope you're able to figure out switching so you can have the hospital experience you want!
@elcd458 I'm getting pretty terrified of labor. I never really gave it much thought or worried about it, but DH texted me today, "You're full-term in 18 days" and queue freak out! Lol.
@alysapuggles I feel like I'm the same with questions, and I'm a FTM! Or I'll be like, "Oh I need to ask these nine billion questions," and then get to my appointment and can't remember a single one. Oops!

@elcd458 and @MJDsquared I'm not terrified of labor but since I hope this will be a VBAC and my c-section was scheduled this is a whole new experience for me and I'm trying not to be too nervous of the "unknown"

@MJDsquared - I called this afternoon and my former OB office is going to "take me back" LOL - I have to start over with an "intake" appointment next week, which will be kind of comical at 36 weeks, and have my records sent over (which could be an awkward conversation with my current OB office), but it looks like I'll be AOK moving back to my old provider and preferred hospital.
Christmas day, but I'm really hoping for before.. 1. I don't want to be pregnant over christmas, I'm already getting kinda miserable... and 2. I really want baby to be here by Christmas.
I'm not sure if I'm actually "ready" for the next 18 years! haha! I dread going back to work (I get 12 months off, sorry guys) and trying to balance a morning routine with a toddler.. it seems daunting.
Hospital bag packing.. I ordered a bunch of stuff from walmart. I feel like I'll be packing half my house.. The hospital here only provides 6 diapers.. so I have to bring what feels like EVERYTHING for a visit that could be 24 - 72 hours long.. and packing for 72 hours could be very different than just 24.
I'm kinda sad this stage will be over.. but I'm getting things together.
I need to "inventory" to see how many onsies and sleepers I have. I feel like I didn't get many at my showers.. I have no idea how many I need.. one friend suggested 6 a day.. I'm sorry, but I really hope I'm not changing my baby chronically like that or I'm not going to get anything else done!
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Last appointment was 5 minutes as they all have been.. it's pretty boring. I just wish I could have another US to indicate that the baby is ready to go, but I know it's still too soon. Right now, we're predicting that he's head down.
I have my nursery ready! yay!
I want to think I'm having Braxton-Hicks contractions but I think it's just the baby putting pressure on my abdomen wall, wanting to break out like the Kool-Aid guy.
We went up north (5 hours) to see my FIL as we have done the past couple of years. I wish I had known 5 hours was too long in a car or I wouldn't have gone. Our thanksgiving was in October and being even 25 weeks pregnant or so was too much.
It's Christmas I'm struggling with, everyone wants me to drive about 40 minutes away to celebrate with them the December 16 & 17.. I'm sorry, but I can't see myself leaving my bed by then if I'm still pregnant haha!
-It seems so short/so far away at the same time. I went over with my daughter so in my head I'm preparing myself to go that far but have a hard time remembering babies come when they want and that is sometimes early.
-We literally moved this last weekend. So really getting his room ready is at the very top of the list.
-Last appointment was really low key. My next I'll be 35w3d so i know they are sending me up to anesthesia to sign some consents.
-I really need to see a pelvic floor physio. Now I will say this baby seems to really enjoy camping out on my bladder. Like a lot of the time i feel like I have to pee and don't have to.due to his position. But the snissing has been real the past week and it grosses me out. Also, my sleep has went back to being crap this past week.
-We are lucky that family on both sides is in the same general area so we typically do Thanksgiving with my family at noon, and then shuttle to DH's mothers house at 4 but this year she decided she didn't want to cook and is going to another family members.
Iszabella due date is the 31 December we are having a c sec due to complications and will be receiving our new date 11 December
This week we can finally say, "Four weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
Excited and nervous at the same time.
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
Not prepared at all still got loads to get for her.
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Next appointment is on the 11 Dec Thats when we get her birthday. Only concern is the comunicating part between me and doctors.
Rants/Raves?
Wish my partner was more understanding with everything.. Especially now that his parents and brother have moved in with us.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going?
Blah holiday what is holiday never heard of such a thing....
12/29
3 1/2 weeks. I’m very excited and optimistic.
Buy rug, wash clothes, set up car seat, pack hospital bag, finish decorating nursery
What was your last/next appointment like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
I had appt this morning. Going for an u/s to check her weight (optional but I figure why not), GBS test.
I wish my OB/GYN practice was more open to natural birth. They seem annoyed every time I affirm I am having natural. I’m worried I made a mistake not going with a midwife practice.
we hosted thanksgiving. Have a ton of Christmas parties to go to, plus Christmas at my parents. Luckily we are close to hospital whether Home or visiting my parents.
