Woke up with several white spots on my tonsils this morning. Super! Guess I'm going to a doctor...
Yikes I hope it's nothing serious!!! If this is a recurring thing for you I am a proponent of getting them out. I got mine out 2 years ago and have barely been sick with anything at all since.

@muggle621@crossfitbabybump my GD test is the morning after Thanksgiving at 7:30 AM. I'm still planning on chowing down on everything. My mom said I should come over to their house and have a slice of apple pie before going...don't think I'm going to go that crazy! I'll definitely wait till after the test for the pie
@muggle621 thanks! Luckily the strep test came back negative. She said it could be the start of an upper respiratory infection though. Hopefully not! I do get sore throats fairly often, but very rarely is it strep so I don't know if they'd advise me getting mine out or not. I think it's more my body's way of telling me I need to rest more, stress less.
I'm ravenous with hunger right now. I was digging through the freezer looking for something to make and found a bag of pre-balled cookie dough with a note that says .... "if you have made it this far - you must be really craving something! enjoy! p.s. for emergencies only. "
There was a magnesium plant that had a fire and exploded about a block from the hospital. The smell is awful and so strong. I’m currently locked in my office with the door shut. They’ve instructed to not go outside. Can I go home?!
Y'allllllllll I just spent too much money on a leopard print coat but it was on sale and I figured I won't get to make impulse purchases like this come March so...
@DDRRT1982 this is from the website...I took a photo when I tried it on like 3 weeks ago but it wasn’t super great of the coat. It definitely won’t button over the belly everntually but I live one Georgia and t doesn’t get *that* cold here.
@triplejplus1 praying for comfort and positivity for your dad, you and your family. I'm an oncology nurse and give those antihormone injections everyday. I've had men make great strides with them. As @Mass-girl-at-heart said earlier, take great notes at all appointments and ask questions. If your healthcare professional can't answer, ask for someone who can. This is a journey and you should be informed every step of the way
Team glucose test coming up here too... the doctor just put the order in for it today and I can go whenever. I'm thinking about doing it next Wednesday before Thanksgiving lol. I'm super nervous I'm going to fail because I crave sweets constantly...
Ugh, at my routine appointment today they gave me the glucola I'll need to drink for my glucose test.... on December 11th. So now I get to stare at this thing every time I open the fridge for the next month and just anticipate that awful taste again.
When is the glucose test normally done? I forget from my last pregnancy.... but my doc hasn’t mentioned it and I don’t have any other apt until I’m 26 weeks.
Well it happened... I was officially welcomed to motherhood this morning. I peed myself a little bit when I sneezed. I was about to go to the bathroom (again) and hop into the shower, but was making coffee and doing a couple dishes before I did. Well I sneezed and there it came.
@npkat that happened to me at 14 weeks and I was like... wtf!! I thought that didn't happen until after childbirth! I asked my oldest sister about it and she said, "KEGELS! IMMEDIATELY!" I've been pretty good about doing them ever since, and I haven't had an issue again (yet). Fingers crossed!
SO and I made our first payment on our little girl's daycare yesterday. We have to pay one week's tuition, once a month until she starts staying there at 6 weeks. Daycare for infants is so hard to find around here, at the rate we are getting, without sitting on a waiting list. Retention is key and we are holding that spot for her so that we aren't s**t out of luck scrambling for daycare when she's born! This is slowly getting, so real!
@kelsajo I'm sorry but that is ridiculous - my anger and frustration, just to be clear, is not directed at you - I understand you have no other choice. It is precisely THAT that makes me so angry.
How is it even remotely okay that you pay for a spot you won't even need for at least another 5-6 months. How is that even legal?
@kelsajo I'm glad you found a daycare that will work for you! That does seem outrageous you have to pay a week every month, but now that I think about it, we had to pay the first month's tuition to hold our spot, so I guess it's similar! The childcare situation in this country is crazy!
Aaaah!! We start our Hypnobirthing classes today!!!!
I so desperately wish I would have done this with my first. After starting the study course, I already feel a great sense of power over birth and a calm that I never thought I could have surrounding delivery.
so I just found out that my placenta is SUPER close to my cervix. not actually covering it - but too close for comfort. So I'm being sent back for another US at about 30 weeks to check again. if it doesn't clear itself- they are recommending a c- section.
it's too early to know for sure - so I'll trying not to get too upset, but I'm super disappointed right now. This will be my first baby and I was really wanting to experience labour. i am happy as long she gets here safely and is healthy... but i just didn't picture a planned surgery as a part of all this.
@bb3vj3n I had that with DD and it moved enough by the next u/s. My doctor described it like marking a dot on a balloon close to the opening. It seems close when the balloon isn't fully inflated, but once you add more air it "moves" farther away. I know it is hard not to worry though!

@bb3vj3n With my first it was over my cervix, and by 31w it had moved way up. Try not to worry yet. @becausescience explained it well with the balloon description.
Same situation here @bb3vj3n. I wouldn't get too worried just yet! Mine has already moved some since they first noticed at 16 weeks. There's still time!
One of my friends just called me a MILF. Part of me giggled and the other part panicked... that's totally a thing and to her, I am that thing. It was strange to me lol I've never been called a MILF before.. and now that's part of my life.
@bb3vj3n, I've had that two pregnancies, and both pregnancies it resolved. FX yours does and that you just get an extra ultrasound out of the deal. It has a lot of time to move!

thanks to all (hard to tag on mobile).... like I said, I know there is still a good chance it could resolve itself. I like the balloon analogy - it explains it well. thx !
SO someone just tried to get into our truck while H was getting us tea and I can’t calm myself down. I know we have fight or flight but I was so shocked I felt so useless
H ran in to tim Horton’s to get us tea and Ds and I were sitting in the truck which was running just chatting. I heard a noise in the back and turned and some crackhead was opening the back door. I started screaming and honking and was trying to get into the back to protect Emmett. He took off. H got back in the truck and we called the police and were following him because I saw the direction he ran. He saw us following him and turned around running the opposite way we used a side street and followed him all the way to the mall where we couldn’t keep track of him because he went inside.
The guy was tweaking for sure and had open wounds covering his face which were either bleeding or dried blood. Not a single person even paid attention to the commotion. I’m in such shock right now

Also, that drink is NASTY.

Pardon my French but that is EFFING ridiculous
