Oh! @ekendall09 I meant to tell you I had my 20 week appt this past Friday with the OB you didn’t have a great experience with last time. She’s kinda...flighty? Like, awkward and almost scatterbrained? Which are not particularly great personality traits for someone who delivers babies

I had my 16 week OB appt this morning and then yet another u/s along with my amnio with the MFM tomorrow.

I seem to be on an odd schedule, every 6 weeks!  I meet with my real doc on Thursday (18 weeks). Last appt was with midwife at 12 weeks.

I have my routine 20 week appointment on Wednesday. Looking forward to having a bit of time by myself to go to the doctor’s. Then I have a hair appointment on Thursday

Good luck this week, everyone! I can't wait to see all the US pics later. AFM, I have a standard pee-in-a-cup appointment Thursday morning. But any opportunity to listen to our little boy's heartbeat is exciting!

My appt wasn’t all happiness and rainbows. 

I have a history of preeclampsia with my pregnancies, and my blood pressure was high at my appt yesterday. It was 149/99. And mine is usually on the low side of normal, so that’s upsetting. They took it a few times throughout the appointment and it was consistently high. 

I was advised to keep taking my baby aspirin and buy a blood pressure monitor for Home, which I did.

So now I had to have my blood drawn and I get to do a 24-urine. They’re trying to build a “baseline” early on. 

The good news is that there wasn’t protein in my urine so there’s that! That’s a glimmer of hope!

Had my regular appointment this morning. Found out I do in fact have an anterior placenta which made it hard to find them with the doppler

My A/S yesterday went well! Baby is normal and healthy (at least I assume as much, as the tech couldn't really say so). I wanted to add for those of you who are asked to come with a full bladder, for me at least, I only needed to hold it for the first few minutes of the scan so she could get good cervix pictures. Then I got to pee and we did another half hour or so. I was super worried that I'd have to hold it for the whole scan, and I didn't think I could!

@allowachick I found out yesterday that I have an anterior placenta too, which explains why I'm 20 weeks and still only feeling tiny, almost unperceptible movements.

Appointment went well, only one baby in there (there was a little bit of questioning the last 2 appointments beings my uterus was so large) and everything is "textbook measurements" now. MW also helped me with some stretches to help ease my sciatica pain. Dh also was able to make it so that was nice. All in all a great appointment.

@mikkimikey I'm doing a baseline collection on Sunday. My bp has been high at every appt except my last one where it was the lowest I've ever had. Interested to see how it is on Monday. I have white coat syndrome but I did have PE last pregnancy.

I'm back from my appt - all is well w baby. Hr of 150. I even scored a pap bc i had an irregular one at my yearly appt earlier this year. Yay!
