Stepson bump nightmare

I am having the most difficult situation. This is my first pregnancy and I am so happy. Sadly, my 17 year old stepson has turned this happy and glorious moment in our lives into a complete nightmare. He has completely turned into an unrecognizable human being. He is in constant anger 24/7. He wakes up talking back, cursing, and yelling every single day for the past month. He has even turned violent throwing and breaking things in his room. He calls his father names (horrible ones),  and when questioned about his behavior he affirms is because of the baby. He turns furious if any of us mentions the baby; he goes to his room and slams the door. I don't trust him and I am sincerely afraid of the attitude he might take (or worsen) when the baby is born. I don't know what to do. His father is torn between his love for him and the gravity of the situation.  Everytime he comes from visitations with his mother he is worse, which makes me think she is feeding him negative stuff, too. 
I am living in this agony everyday without any hope of it getting better. I don't know if I should stay at the house with the baby if this continues.
