I know it's a day late, but I figured I might as well start one (stolen directly from Friday's ticker change). I hope I did it correctly since I've never started a new discussion thread.

Re: Thursday Ticker Change - 11/9/17
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 35 weeks - baby is as big as a pineapple!
2) How are you feeling? Tired, swollen, anxious, and excited. My feelings change so frequently since I can't stop thinking about the next few weeks and her arrival.
3) Any appointments this week/last? I had my 34 week appointment this past Tuesday which included a growth ultrasound. Based on my measurements, I am measuring a week ahead and our little baby girl is just shy of 6 pounds! She is head down, pretty low already and facing the right way, so hopefully she will come sooner rather than later.
4) How are baby preparations going? Ugh, my constant struggle. I want to finalize the nursery but the windows are still not in yet. This weekend we plan to finalize as much as we can, start putting things away, and generally get the house in order. I'm hoping that by checking some items off my list my anxiety will decrease.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I have been wearing compression socks for some of the swelling in my feet/ankles, but last night when I went to take them off, my entire legs were swollen. I honestly did not have knee caps. I'm wondering if the socks are too tight or if I just didn't drink enough water recently since we've been running around to baby classes and other events this week. I just want the swelling to go away!
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here? I am definitely ready for her to be here. Aside from the excitement of getting to meet her, I am over pregnancy. I loved being pregnant up until about 30-32 weeks, then the weight and swelling and discomfort took over. I will certainly miss her kicks and the special bond you get when carrying a child (it's like your own inside joke with them that no one will ever know), but I'm sure it pales in comparison once you get to hold your baby. I think I am most looking forward to seeing DH spend time and bond with her. He is so excited.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 35 weeks - Everett is the size of a pineapple!
2) How are you feeling?
Very anxious and excited. I go back and forth on the daily. So much to do still but ready for him to get here already.
3) Any appointments this week/last?
Had my 34 week appointment this past Thursday, we jus had a gestalt heart check and the normal tape measurement. We meet with the MFM the Tuesday prior and that will be the last ultrasound. He was weighing in at just over 5 lbs and has assumed the correct position. We start our weekly appointments next Thursday.
4) How are baby preparations going?
We completed the hospital tour and prenatal course this past weekend. It was a lot of good information and the instructor was a hoot and a half which made it so much better. This weekend we plan to finalize the cabinet organization in the bathroom and kitchen to create space for Everetts things. I think that should help bring down some of my biggest anxiety. His stuff is just everwhere and I am very much a things have places and only belong in those place a kind of person so the messes have been getting to me.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I would love the ability to get up and not have the limp effect from my hip pain. I keep getting comments at work if I am alright. I want to just say does it look like it..... I feel like I have a bowling ball lodge in my pelvis. So no I am not alright
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here?
I am trying to savor the time that I have left just my spouse and I. We have tried to be more consistent with date nights and just being together, our thought is if we can't do it now we won't do it when the two of us become three. Truefully.... I haven't really loved pregnancy, now don't get me wrong the bond I feel with this little guy is unmatched. I will miss the kicks and movements and knowing where he is at all times. But I am so ready for him to get out too. I can't wait to see what he looks like and watch the bond that my spouse gets to also create with him.
36 Weeks - melon, romaine, a 2-Liter, papaya
2) How are you feeling?
Mostly good. The insane fatigue I had a few weeks ago has subsided a bit so that’s been great. My nose is still stuffy (going 3 weeks now) so I’m feeling like that might be with me til the end. Baby feels bigger and stronger than ever - I think I got my first rib kick last night I mean it hurt but
3) Any appointments this week/last?
Checkup this coming Tuesday. She’s going to check position, cervix, and do the gbs swab. Then I start going every week!
4) How are baby preparations going?
Ha, next question! Moving at a sloth’s pace but at this point I kind of don’t care. Me and baby staying healthy and resting as needed is the most important thing. We have a place for baby to sleep and stuff to cover their butt and clothes for their back. That’s enough to start even if not everything gets done that I wanted to.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here?
—It’s a mix. Since the beginning it’s been about just getting the baby out safely, but lately I’ve been trying to savor the small moments with H. Sometimes it hits me that things are about to be so so different. It’s been just the two of us for 16 years, and as badly as I’ve wanted this child it’s still a big change.
—Right now I’m realizing I’ll miss the quiet moments. It will be a long time before I sit down to read a book and not listen for a snuffle or cry. And the ability to live and make decisions spontaneously.
—I can’t wait to kiss this baby’s head. Having him/her in my arms and both of us healthy is all I think about.

2) How are you feeling? cramped lol. I feel like baby is running out of room. i don't feel a bunch of kicks anymore now its more like rolls and pressure. I just hope baby is in correct position.
3) Any appointments this week/last? Next week I have an appointment for ultrasound to check on baby's position. They usually do them at 36 weeks but with how the appointment have been scheduled I was going to be almost 37 weeks and I know that would be to late for trying to turn baby if it's not in correct position.
4) How are baby preparations going? ummmm hahaha well check back with me after we close on the house on Dec. the 5th if all goes as planned. I've had both of my baby showers and I was shocked to see no one pitched in for the car seats. So that is a must but can't happen till after the 5th.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Just trying to breathe and keep this baby in. I'm been having more and more contractions, yesterday I did not even do anything to trigger them. I had 2 hours of them low and in my back.
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here?
I'm definitely not ready to have baby yet. Pregnancy has been hard I've been sick and the acid reflex has not helped. I just can not wait to feel normal and eat again. I've only gain 11 pounds and at this point I will prob put weight on after the pregnancy because I've had such a hard time eating.
Other then eating i'm looking forward to being able to hold and cuddle our little one. I'm also looking forward to see how my SO is with the little one. I feel like for him it will all hit him after LO is born. Until then its only the occasional little things he does or mentions that makes be go aww. He's not one to feel baby or put his hand on my stomach...
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 34 weeks +4- Savoy cabbage, butternut squash, or pineapple
2) How are you feeling? Ehhh, feeling pretty over being pregnant. I feel bad for complaining to DH all the time, especially because there are so many exciting things on the horizon (my birthday's tomorrow, Thanksgiving break, maternity leave, my anniversary (9 years!), Christmas, and, of course, baby girl's arrival!! But the third trimester is definitely rough, and I'm ready to have my body back to myself.
3) Any appointments this week/last? No appointment this week- I had one last week and all is well.
4) How are baby preparations going? Great! All done with the prep work which feels amazing.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope.
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here?
Definitely ready for baby to get here! If she wants to come around 37-38 weeks, that would be fine with me. I'll miss her movements inside me, but I won't miss much else about being pregnant. This has been a loooong nine months. I'm most excited about newborn baby snuggles and being cozy and cuddled up at home for the winter.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 36 weeks and he is the size of a 2 liter, a power drill, or a foot long sub (and now I am hungry and want a Mt. Dew)....
2) How are you feeling? Overall I could be worse. A lot of the back pain has been easing up thanks to my weekly chiropractor trips. With that said though, baby boy has now moved down low in the pelvis and WOW that feels just....umm......"great". So its all kinds of new feelings HAHA! Some times I don't feel the greatest and have some morning sickness, and other days I feel ok.
3) Any appointments this week/last? Thursday was my 36wk check up and was the first time (since the 24 week anatomy scan) that my doctor actually did more than just weigh me, measure me, and take my blood pressure. I got a physical check of the lady bits and she said everything is closed so she is positive she will see me in the office at my 37wk check up. She also verified that he is head down and low, which made me so happy because without any US or anything since 24wk I've been nervous about position.
4) How are baby preparations going? Actually pretty good. I have had SOOOOO many friends deliver within the last month, a few of them early (one was 30wk, one 36wk) that I kind of started to freak out a little bit about little man coming early too. I got a lot of things done including the nursery, all the laundry, the car seat base installed, the bassinet all set up, and FINALLY packed my bag and his bag which I have been procrastinating on. I do feel that environmentally I am ready (as in the house and his spaces are ready).
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? My biggest questions this week were about bottle sterilization, but a bunch of great mommas on here already answered that for me! Rants - my belly is physically over being large. Raves - DH has been helping me a lot with preparing for everything.
6) GTKY: Are you savoring this last few weeks before baby comes, or are you dying to get baby out? What will you miss most about being pregnant, what are you most looking forward to once LO is here?
I am really trying to savor it. It is just DH and I at home, and I really enjoy our time together. I know that LO will change that drastically, and I am just really trying to enjoy DH. We had a big date this last weekend at a Ball, and all I could think about was that this was probably our last night out together before LO comes! This really hit home! Also emotionally and mentally I am just nervous about being a FTM and anxious, so I am savoring the time before I have to actually raise a human being!
What will I miss about being pregnant......having an actual excuse for gaining weight and eating whatever I want
What am I most looking forward to once LO is here... being able to actually roll over in bed for starters....BUT getting to see his face! I am so in love with the fact that this little creation is half of DH and half of me. I can't wait to see what he looks like and who he grows up to be!
