  • How far along are you? 5 weeks, going with LMP

How are you feeling? Pretty good, yesterday took a urine sample in to the doctor yesterday, and confirmed pregnancy with them.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? 11-28-17 I am meeting with a prenatal coordinator and will be doing a bunch of stuff that day. I cannot wait!

Questions? Anyone thought about a water birth or know anyone who has done one? The hospital I get to deliver at has tubs for water births, and I am really considering it.

GTKY: DH and I went to Vegas this last April, it was fantastic! It was more like our additional honeymoon. Since at the time we got married we couldn't afford to do a whole lot, so we just drove up to Northern Wisconsin and stayed in a family cabin for a couple of days. Now Vegas holds a special place in my heart, and I am dying to go back. I loved it there!

  • @ajsanders-2 One of our hospitals has a "birth planner" on staff that the first appointment is with, but I'm not currently doctoring there. Is the prenatal coordinator a nurse? What else will you get done that day?

I have only been to Vegas once - for a work training. I was also in school at the time so I spend my evenings in my hotel doing homework - so lame! I've been wanting to take a trip there with DH, but should probably wait until after baby now ;)

  • @ajsanders-2 I had my son at the Madison Birth Center (now closed) and had a water birth.  I had a great experience, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have.  Is it St. Mary's or Meriter that does water births?  I'm trying to decide if i want to do a hospital or home birth this time around.

  • @MrsMiller8588 - She is a nurse, so I believe there will be a dating ultrasound done, labs, and a full physical. She also help me pick my OB as well. I am sure there is a ton of stuff she is going to do for me. Since I am such an organized person it will be great to have someone get the ball rolling.

Ah that stinks! You'll totally want to go back! We were planning a trip to Mexico in March, but now that's up in the air, the nurse I spoke with yesterday told me to ask my OB if they would think going to Mexico is safe, darn Zika! So we shall see if that happens or if we go somewhere in the states.

  • @coco2787 - Oh awesome! I am highly considering it. From what I know Meriter does water births. Our insurance now only lets us deliver at Meriter, it used to have St. Marys. Both facility are pretty nice looking.

Good to know @ajsanders-2!  My doctor/insurance uses Meriter as well, I didn't know they did water births.  If I can get a hospital birth with minimal intervention that would be ideal.  Maybe we'll be there at the same time since we're due the same day I think :)

  • @MrsMiller8588 I've got to be honest, I am cracking up at your FL road trip story. It kind of reminds me of one time when we took a road trip down to GA to pick up a jetski DH's Uncle impulse bought online (not realizing where it actually was).

How far along are you? 4+4

How are you feeling? Pretty good. I've been pretty tired and have some minor nausea, but that is about it. Some of the anxiety seems to be letting off, so that it's a good thing.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? I go back next Wednesday for more bloodwork and an initial ultrasound with the RE.

Questions? Not yet, but I'm sure it's coming :)

GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? This can be either from growing up or with your current family My father's side of the family does a big trip all together every year. They have been doing this for like 40-something years at this point. I just remember my cousin and I impatiently counting down the days every year when we were younger.

  • @MrsMiller8588 I pretty much have just been trying to keep telling myself even after everything that has gone wrong eventually something has to go right, and there is no reason why that time can't be now. Don't get me wrong, I'm still mostly a nervous wreck, but each day it starts to get a little bit better.

How far along are you? 5+2

How are you feeling? Nauseous and bloated, dear gooooooddd. I did not miss this part.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? I should probably schedule this, huh? Eh I got time. Lol.

    Questions? Nothing right now.

GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? Umm. I hated it as a kid, but going to Korea and Japan every summer to visit family. I miss the food so much. As an adult, my H and I used to just hop in the car and drive somewhere every other weekend. Orlando for all the amusement parks was always a favorite.

  • Hi everyone, I was only active on TTGP for a short time, but lurked for almost a year. Would it be ok if I joined in here?

@MrsMiller8588 spotting is normal, but it sucks! I had no spotting with my first, but had tons of spotting / bleeding (mainly, after sex) with my second. It was a total mind@$&k, but he was perfectly healthy and fine.

@ajsanders-2 I didn't have a water birth, but I like the idea. Would you do a home birth?

@Pinky917 I'm so excited that you are here! I creepily stalked you and was rooting. Congrats!

How far along are you? So early. 4+1 if I go off my LMP

How are you feeling? Fine! Normal! Trying to enjoy it while I can..

    Any recent/upcoming appointments? December 18

    Questions? Not right now

GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? This can be either from growing up or with your current family  My favorite would have to be going to Belize with my husband right after we got married. Such a gorgeous place, and we drank so much wine!

Hi ladies!  Just stopping by to say that I am rooting for all of you so hard!  Sending you all the love, and will continue stalking to see your journeys.

Not sure of the etiquette on BMBs, so just in case **TW** Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for me.  I had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy.  We are so disappointed, but still hopeful that it will happen for us soon.  **end TW**

@therealbitts Happy to have you here!! I did email my dr about the spotting. I'm not super worried since it is so light and sporadic and no cramping really, but I figured a little reassurance wouldn't be a bad thing either ;)

  • @therealbitts - I have not thought about a home birth. I would have to look into my insurance and see what costs I would have to cover. I do not believe it is covered for me, but not 100% sure. Water birth should very interesting. Seems much easier on baby and on Mom.

  • @canucklehead123 I'm still BSC. So much anxiety. Also doesn't help that I've had a couple days of spotting after a BM. So now I over analyze every cramp. Still have 2 more weeks until my first appointment and it seems so far away.

@MrsMiller8588 sorry you're feeling anxious!  Two weeks seems like a long time!! But it will pass quickly - do you enjoy puzzles?  I find if I want to pass time quickly I will do a puzzle (I can zone out for hours on those suckers).. I'm still not really sure how all the appointments work but going to see my GP this afternoon so hopefully she sheds some insight.
