Hi everyone! Glad we were down for a regular check-in! Anyone can start this, btw. I don't have a burning desire to start tons of threads, but I'll get things going if no one else does.

Hi everyone! How is everybody doing this week?

How far along are you?
Either exactly 6 weeks or 6w1d. My apps don't agree. It's like having two clocks: one is always wrong. 

Any appointments coming up?
YUP!!! Today!! First US! I'm super anxious and nervous. I'm hoping to see a heartbeat, but am trying to keep expectations low and manageable. 

Rants/Raves/Questions?
I normally detest sausage, and anything joscuits and gravy. But the new Country Sausage Biscuit Sandwich at Starbucks is hitting the pregnant lady spot lately! 

How are you doing? 
I woke up extremely nervous about the appointment and that hasn't gone away. I feel like seeing the baby will make me feel like it's all going to be fine, because I didn't get to that point with the last baby, but  also afraid of false hope. I don't know how I'll make it the next 6.5 hours. Maybe I'll clean something. 

GTKY:  Christmas decorations/music before or after Thanksgiving?
Music is fine before, especially while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and movies are great Thanksgiving Day, but I leave the decorations in the box ubtil the turkey is gone.

@christycalifornia - Waiting is SO hard.  Hang in there and hope the US goes well! And thanks for starting the thread.

How far along are you?
6 weeks today, although what my dr. said at my appt last week and my app did not line up, so I am not quite sure if she just counted wrong or what (she was a few days behind).

Any appointments coming up?
Monday, 11/20 for US.  Feels like forever.  Was supposed to try to come in next week, but have a work trip, so has to be the following week.  But at least maybe I'll see more then...?

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Foods that are in any way remotely spicy are starting to give me heartburn. Grr.  Guess I need to be more careful about what I eat.

How are you doing? 
I'm ok.  A little stressed since tomorrow would be the same point in the pregnancy where I started having bleeding, which ended up leading to the MC.  Hoping to make it through the next few days without any bad signs.  I am not feeling as nauseous today, which is making me paranoid that something not good is going on.

Only after Thanksgiving.  But RIGHT after Thanksgiving.  Love getting into the holiday spirit.

Next u/s is on Friday! I saw a sac on Thursday at 5wk. Hoping to see a hb in the sac in my uterus and hoping they can definitively say whether or not I have a heterotopic pregnancy in my tube. I'm sure I do, but my last ectopic was never visible on u/s. I'll probably push for surgery even if they don't see anything clearly, I'd rather have one tube then feel like I have a ticking bomb next to my uterus.

Totally not baby related but my POS landlord ordered us a new fridge since ours broke on Friday.... but it doesn't fit through our pantry doorway. SO WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY FOR ANOTHER FRIDGE. And I made a giant croc pot of chili yesterday that's been set to 'warm' on my counter until I figure out WTF I want to do with it. End rant. 

How are you doing? 
I hear you on the stress cleaning @christycalifornia. My house has never been so tidy. After every appointment I find myself deep cleaning something, it's therapeutic for me. On the other hand I'm trying to not do anything strenuous as to not piss off the rogue twin I feel stretching out my tube.

Typically after, mostly because we do a live tree and pick it out the day after Thanksgiving. I don't pull out the decorations before that.

@adventuresawait1 TOTALLY feel you on the nerves coming up to the time of loss. I think it's natural. My husband keeps telling me, "just because things went wrong last time, there's no reason to think they will again." It's hard.

And hahahahaha to me being a stress cleaner! I wish I were a stress cleaner. That would be a great stress response. I'm more of a stress drinker? So since that's denied me, I figure may as well do the dishes or something.

@christycalifornia HAHAHA well it has its perks! DH knows to stay out of my way when my cleaning gloves come on. But he calls it "rage cleaning," which is fair lol.

Okay to pretty good most days. I'm trying to be grateful for every pregnant day I get and keep talking to my baby telling her (for no good reason I think it is a girl, but will be over the moon with a take home baby no matter the gender!) how much I love her and can't wait to hold her.

Go ahead, flame me I started music yesterday and will likely decorate this weekend if I don't go out of town for Volleyball. My mom was always a die hard "Once you see Santa in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, it is officially Christmas Season" until she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She decided she "needed a little Christmas" early that year and in her memory and spirit I have been decorating and getting in the spirit early ever since.

@AKFarmerBecky I feel ya. I feel like this one is a girl., too. We'll see! I felt like the last one was a boy but who knows? Even if it's silly, it's nice to feel connected any way we can.

@christycalifornia yeah, it's hard not to feel almost superstitious about it, even though I know in my head this time could be totally different.

Any appointments coming up? First ultrasound on 11/21. It would be next week, but my doctor is out of the office that week and evidently, I can't have it with anyone else...so I wait nervously.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Not really

How are you doing? Tired and starting to feel nauseous..I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my son and I know I'm pregnant with a boy again (IVF baby) so I am TERRIFIED for this to start again while having to care for a 2 year old. 

GTKY:  Christmas decorations/music before or after Thanksgiving? I don't mind it in stores because I LOVE Christmas, but I don't get my decorations out until the day after Thanksgiving.
