My trophy goes out to two of my friends who both had their babies this morning. One through induction and one in her CAR in the hospital parking lot. All mamas and babies are well. (Side note: my pregnancy emotions have gotten the best of me today and I’ve cried at both birth announcement texts... it’s going to be a long seven weeks.)
TW for ups scheduling a 26 lb package delivery with a signature required for tomorrow in the window im at the doctors office for my weekly visit. Hopefully they come at the 1pm window so i dont have to figure out who to help me go pick it up.
TT- got a notification we have some kinda rebate coming back from our old car insurance company so thats cool.
TW to my DH for deciding last night he thinks we could find a better baby name. This after months of him on board and us actually calling the baby that! I may have started crying.
I'm fresh out of happy feelings, so no one gets a trophy.
@babybison oh i would've shot him square in the nuts for that!!!! Im lucky mine loved our girls name so i dont have to stress about that!!!! I would tell him your keeping the name and thats final. No backsies lol
TW is for DD today, who has decided to pitch a fit about everything. Seriously. Everything. I told DH that if he was smart, he would try to leave work as early as possible to get home and let me lock myself in our room.

i'm sorry it's one of those toddler days. unless your locked room involves a hot bath and a bottle of wine, though, i think you should high tail it outta there instead and do something for yourself!

@skcobb solidarity sister. those days are rough. DD has recently started an epic tantrum phase where a single tantrum can go on for HOURS. Hang in there. @babybison sorry DH wants to change the name. Fx you find something you both like or he changes his mind back.

My husband is the TW since he’s apparently not getting home until 11pm any night this week. Our kitchen is being gutted this week, which wouldn’t be a big deal except that we didn’t just hire any old contractor, we have my uncle doing it which is obviously a HUGE favor and he’s going to need help lifting and moving some things. We could have planned around it if H had figured out his schedule before Sunday, but all of the sudden he dumps in my lap that he basically won’t be home at all this week and I’m furious. To a certain point I’m being irrational because these are work-related things, but it’s fucking annoying. I’m particularly irritated that tomorrow’s problem is that he’s taking someone who did him a favor at work to a sporting event and I have yet to hear the reason why that couldn’t have happened next week.
TW is for the vets schedule. I will have to get a sub for my classes next week to take my dog to a 15min vet appointment. My husband has meetings. I literally only work one hour that day and it’s at that exact time. There are only so many more weeks I am teaching Dance and the parents will not be thrilled. Plus I could really use that money to help pay for her expensive surgery. Oh well.

Mercury must be in retrograde or some shit because this has been DS all day, too. Solidarity sister.
Trophy to DH who actually left work early for once in his life and took DD to the store and to pick up dinner! Woohoo! I think he's tired of me bitching about everything...
My TW goes to my toddler today too! He woke up at 5:30 this morning, stood up in his crib yelling 'BOOGERS!' because his nose was too stuffed to comfortably sleep with his pacifier... Therefore that means it's morningtime... Ugh...
TT goes to DH for taking down all my christmas bins from the garage so I can start decorating! Even though he hates it, he hates the idea of me trying to get them down myself more, and he knows I will haha
@elvenchick92686 why can't you pick up at 26lb package? I routinely carry around my 28lb toddler! lol
@failuretofly i haven't been able to Lift alot at the advice of my doctor/ family cause of my issues and since i wasnt regularly lifting that much on a daily basis anymore. I still haven't been told a good reason on why he advised it. Everybody has been treating me like a glass castle my entire pregnancy. I am sure its cause of our loss two years ago and them trying to prevent anything from happening but i get yelled at if i try anything.
Edit to add---case in point.....i was making burgers for our dinner last night when he got home. Every five minutes he asked if i was okay and needed to sit down and then demanded i sit down and he fixed our plates even though i was perfectly capable of doing it myself
@elvenchick92686 That sucks, you probably don't like being treated like a doll. DH won't let me lift heavy things outside where people can see him not helping me, but inside he doesn't care because no one is judging him. I tried to explain that people carry kids around while pregnant and he just doesn't seem to get it.
@babybison my DH is the same. He wouldn't let me carry a frozen 15lb turkey around the grocery store... but he's fine with me carrying DS... Cause people don't care if they see a pregnant lady carrying a toddler, but god forbid she picks up a frozen bird with a handle that is half the weight! I've had people at work give me shit for moving empty chairs around or PUSHING AN EMPTY WHEELCHAIR... I'm like, well shit, if I can't push an empty wheelchair I may as well go home! Pretty sure that disgusting cough you have is more of a risk to me than this wheelchair...
@failuretofly@babybison it has its moments. There was a period of time i couldn't even shower or take a bath without SO being home from work. He refuses for me to carry anything other than bread up the steps when we get groceries ( we live on a second story apartment). But i think its mostly his moms doing on freaking him out. One night i had some pretty bad back pain and he let it slip to his mom and she blessed him up and down that i shouldn't be doing this or that and to help me out of the bath.
Some days i like a reason to be super lazy but when we still have so much to do but i cant do it gets me upset.
