WAYDTGKU: PNV, CM, attempting CP, teas, & other general healthful lifestyle changes.
R/R: MH & I took our dog&cat to a petacular event yesterday. The best part was the gourmet grilled cheese truck!
CS/Q: None
GTKY: If making cat puns were an Olympic sport, I’d take the gold every time. Other potential top-contenders for sports I would metal would be: wallering in bed until the VERY last possible second, crying all my feelings, and/or Googling/finding obscure information
R/R: work has been horrendous this weekend and tonight is the longest night ever because of daylight savings! I can’t wait to go home and sleep all day.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be? Reading! I could totally take home the prize for most books read in a calendar year.

WAYDTGKU: IVF#2 - day 4 of stims today and first Ganirelix shot to prevent ovulation
R/R: DH is working today. But I got up early to have breakfast with him first. We have said we want to try to set up a breakfast routine every day. But the challenge is he normally gets up about 1 hour before me during the week... But rave that we accomplished it today. I need to get home jobs and some work done today, but also still recovering from the virus, so need to pace myself too if I have any chance to make it to the end of a Friday!
CS/Q: My first five days of temps are all above my average coverline for the last 2 years... will be interesting to see what happens this week. Last time the stims had no effect on my pre-O temps. But I have a feeling my body is handling the stims a little differently this time, even though the protocol is the same. Every cycle is different I guess!
GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be? Hmmm... making banana bread, doing jigsaw puzzles, plaiting horses (well before my RA got worse)
@jrm_14 you're up early today??? What was the "petacular" event?
@shortstack930 oh yes working overnight when clocks go back is torture, sorry you had to do this (and you @mrs_drc_rn)

Hey all you lovely people negatively affected by DST and up way earlier than usual! Glad to see I am in good company. I grew up in Indiana and we didn't do DST until I was a junior in college. The first year we did it I worked a job that was open til 2am, so I kinda feel your pain @shortstack930
@jrm_14 making cat puns would be an AMAZING olympic sport.
Month/Cycle: 5/5
CD:18
WAYDTGKU: All of the acronyms
R/R: Rave: I have a writing/coffee/catch up date with a friend today, and it should be amazing! Then I plan on going to the co-op and maybe getting some beer from a local brewery. Rant: A lovely new pre-o cycle symptom I seem to have is constipation. Either that or I eat entirely too much during pre-o and this is how my body repays me. Who knows?
CS/Q: Yesterday I decided my CB must have gotten effed up by the temp. I was using old wondfos because my new wondfos were super light and i thought that was weird, but I remembered that yesterday and busted out the new one...walla, an obvious positive! Here's hoping I don't have one today.
GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be? Making soups and drinking coffee. I am boss af at those two things.
R/R: Half-assed rave: If AF is going to show up, I'm glad it's a Sunday where I have very little to do. Better Rave: We got down the Christmas decorations yesterday. I haven't put much up yet but we did get first pick at Target and HomeGoods for the things I realized I needed to replace.
CS/Q: Naw
GTKY: Hm...H says having to clean the house when guests are unexpectedly arriving. #ded. He's not wrong. I can get the whole house spotless in an hour if I need to.
@jrm_14 Pics of taking your cat to the event? No dogs tried to eat it? I'm actually insanely curious as to how that worked.
@shortstack930 Ugh working DST is awful! Hope you're able to get lots of sleep!
@emmasemm Do you think maybe your temps are up a bit because you're still a little sick? What are you and your H wanting your breakfast routine to be like?
@shortstack930@mrs_drc_rn The night shift was always extra torturous on fall daylight savings. Hope you’re both home now! @emmasemm. Ugh, RA is a bitch. Hope you feel better soon! That’s super interesting about your temps. Too many feelings to go to bed on time last night was the precipitating event . When I was in Belgium, we had “sunday morning breakfast” every single week. Since Sunday’s are also super protected there, we would all get together for a long breakfast that day. Mmmm I miss the bakeries. @smashjam Did Indiana randomly decide to do DST or did you move? @nimmle Woohoo for O! @kiwi2628 Puppy snuggles ❤️ Have fun today!
@jrm_14 Do you have any pics of this event? Sounds so fun! And who doesn't like gourmet grilled cheese?! Yum! ETA: thanks for the pics! Your pets are adorable. @shortstack930 Hope you get some good rest today. How many books have you read so far this year? I love reading too and am 1 book away from this year's goal! @emmasemm Sounds like a great way to start the morning! DH and I do that most mornings too and it helps put me in a good mood. @nimmle Hooray for your peak! You have awesome timing. @kiwi2628 let us know how the mac n chili fest is! @SkilledSailor I'm sorry for CD1. I'm glad you get to have some fun putting up Christmas decorations today at least! About your GTKY, have you seen that video where a man dresses up like his wife and goes crazy cleaning the house? I feel like you may have shared a gif of it before but I could be thinking of someone else. It's hysterical!
Month/Cycle: 6/6
CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: Benched, but OPKs. Big temp drop today so I wonder if O will be soon. OPKs weren't even close to positive yesterday though.
R/R: Another lazy day on the schedule today! I played a ton of Mario Odyssey yesterday and hope to play more today.
CS/Q: chart in spoiler.
GTKY: Being lazy! Lol. I'm embarrassingly good at sitting on my butt all day and have to force myself to get up and get moving.
@emmasemm I like your breakfast tradition. I think stuff like that is so important to stay connected. MH and I try to do regular date nights, and that really helps us stay in sync.
@SmashJam yay for a coffee date and a positive OPK!
@nimmle yay for a positive! I get oddly excited when I see that smiley face! Looks like you're going to have good timing too.
@kiwi2628 have fun at mac n cheese fest! Wear sweatpants so you have room to expand! Jk. I second the puppy snuggling. What kind of dog do you have?
@SkilledSailor sorry to see you back here. Enjoy decorating today! Have all the champagne
Month/Cycle: 12/14
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: Nothing right now. Sulking and trying to decide if I should even "try" this cycle.
R/R: It hurts to type that this is our 14th cycle. We have officially been trying for a year with no success. And, I haven't confirmed O the past two cycles, so all of the OPKs, Pom juice, blah, blah, etc seems like a big ol' fat waste of time and energy. All of our testing has been done (diagnosed with unexplained infertility). If it weren't for our travel plans around Thanksgiving, we would be starting our first IUI this cycle. So, if we aren't pregnant this cycle, on to IUI I guess. Sorry for the long rant. Rave is that we are going to keep decorating for Christmas today (one tree up!).
CS/Q: nothing to see
GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be? Multitasking.
@jrm_14 Omg I love it! I could never do that, my cat would freak. Yours looks so chill about it.
@offtoneverland Haha I have shared that gif before. I relate to it so hard! I've heard such great things about the new Mario game. Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday!
@therealbitts Ack! I'm out of champagne! I'll probably hold off on decorating until I'm stocked up. *hugs* girl. You don't need to apologize for that rant here, ever! Do you think you would mentally benefit from taking the month off from "trying"?
@jrm_14 petacular sounds fantastic!! The sweater on the cat.OMG.
@shortstack930 I'm a big reader too! Once i find a great book I cant put it down until i'm finished with it.
@emmasemm Pace yourself today! What you don't do today can always be done tomorrow
@SmashJam I'm fascinated by places that don't do DST/dont understand how logistics work out when coordinating with DST participants. Enjoy writing/reading with a friend and the local brew. Those are my favorite kinda pasttimes.
R/R: Rave: It's a little overcast and a little cooler, it feels a little like fall in Florida...until the afternoon and it returns to 80. Rant: I explained to DH what we needed to do this week with FW and he chose last night to stay up much longer than anticipated with the time change and is snoozing like a rock right now. -1 was yesterday and 0 is today based on my charts. Hopefully HIO tonight and hope that that still counts.
CS/Q:
GTKY: crafting or DIY projects. Big into looking and getting inpsiration on pinterest and then recreating it in my home with my own flavor incorporated in.
@jrm_14 I love that you can take your cat to events like that! I think both our cats would just freak out. One is afraid of everything and the other seems terrified of dogs. Gourmet grilled cheese sounds fabulous. What sandwich did you get?
@shortstack930 Do you have favorite genres or authors to read? I haven't been reading as much as usual lately, but I love science fiction and fantasy.
@emmasemm It's always nice to have a day to get stuff done around the house, but don't overdo it! Your health matters more.
@SmashJam I lived in AZ for six years, and they are the last state that doesn't do DST. I loved it, and now I'm grumpy to be back in DST land. My ex grew up between Indiana (before they started doing DST) and Arizona, so she never experienced DST until coming to college in CA.
@nimmle Yay for a solid smiley! Sounds like you have great timing this month.
@kiwi2628 You'll have to update us on all the amazing food you get to eat today! Have a great time!
@SkilledSailor So sorry for cd 1. *hugs* Sounds like fun to get started on Christmas decorations though! Maybe I'll get things going early this year. We usually don't decorate until after Thanksgiving. No idea what we're going to do about a tree this year. Our new kitty is liable to attack anything we put up.
@offtoneverland Regarding your GTKY answer, I think I could be a serious competitor for you.
@therealbitts *hugs* I'm so sorry for cd 1 and that you've hit the year mark. I'm recently diagnosed with unexplained IF as well, and it sucks. Take care of yourself!
R/R: The letrozole raised my body temp just enough that I was too warm all night and had trouble sleeping. Hope that's not the case for the whole time I'm on it! I also felt kind of woozy after taking it, and had mild headaches. Feeling better this morning though. I was lazy all day yesterday, so today I really need to get some work done! The plan is to work at home this morning, go to the gym, and then work at a coffee shop in the afternoon. We'll see what really happens though.
CS/Q: Temp was up .3 degrees from the letrozole, but there still isn't a lot to see here!
GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be? Procrastination, maybe. Or cooking. I'm a good cook.
@and846 thanks im definitely not over doing it. Laid on the couch watching sappy movies having made pasta for lunch (and enough to take with me for lunch tomorrow) followed by banana bread. The main fear I have is that there will be none left for DH or to take to work lol!
@therealbits hugs re having a tough TTC day. I'm on month 31 (yep that's a thing) and believe me I've had those. I've woken up in the morning and just had zero interest to pop the pills in my mouth. Or known that O would be coming in a few days and really just thought what's the point of HIO. However what I have learnt is that if I don't take the pills or don't HIO I typically then spend the next weeks beating myself up for screwing up the chance, and of course Murphy's law would say that my one good egg in a hundred would be released that month...
@offtoneverland I'll give you a run for your money for the gold medal on being lazy ;-)
@jrm_14 we had two cats when I was younger who would go for walks and ride in the car. But the other 20+ were a big no go for being on a lead! Then again one of them did also used to ride the bus...
@skilledsailor yes maybe the temps are still affected by the virus. And we just want to carve out a bit of time to make sure we start the day with the right food (not chocolate in the car on the way to the office!) and to have some time together. DH is a morning person, and since I'm so tired in the evenings and struggle to get past 8pm we thought we'd try mornings!

Big hugs to you. I hope you can find something to help you relax a bit and get your mind off things for just a little while. I agree with @SkilledSailor, there's no need to apologize for ranting here. This is what we're all here for! @Mylitta what kinds of books do you like to read?
@offtoneverland so far I’ve read 27 books which is actually a super light year for me. The most I’ve read in a year is 110! @therealbitts I’m sorry you’ve hit the point where you need to see an RE. It’s so frustrating. Hopefully the IUI will work! @darkstar42 I mostly read young adult! I love sci fi and fantasy also.

@shortstack930 I love young adult too! That's my favorite genre by far. Wow, 110 books in a year! That's awesome. I have read 54 this year so far, but a lot of them are really short free/cheap books I've found on Amazon kindle. It's the most I've read since taking up reading again 3 years ago.
@And846 Oh my goodness! How to choose! I love the Percy Jackson series (I read both the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus series). I've loved everything I've read by R. K. Ryals, and I really liked The Gifting series by K. E. Ganshert (both authors are available for really cheap--and sometimes free--on Amazon Kindle). Those are the favorites that I can think of off the top of my head, but there are so many others! Looking forward to seeing what @shortstack930 recommends too.
@kiwi2628 i am so incredibly jealous of your mac and chili fest. I have chili mac often and long for steak n shake chili mac constantly!
@SkilledSailor sorry for CD1! ******TW I am writing kind of a "personal journey" if you will...something I started writing in January after my daughter died. I'm not sure how great it will be, but a really great thing that has come of it is that I have realized that 10 months later, I don't feel the need to write it as much as I did then, which I think is a good thing! End TW****
@jrm_14 Indiana decided to do it when I was a junior in college...so like, 2005 or 2006?
@offtoneverland I wish i was better at nothing doing. Knowing when to relax and take time for yourself is a great skill!
@therealbitts as others have said never apologize for a rant! Hugs to you.
@And846 here's hoping the hubs got his sh*t together for you!
@darkstar42 here's hoping your meds don't make you feel wonky all cycle!
@Stargazer1lily ooo snowshoeing is exhausting. I went with my MIL once and she's super fit and I wanted to punch her in the back of the head she would just STOP MOVING lol. kudos to you!
@mylitta I hope your family gathering wasn't awful and was awesome instead!
@shortstack930 110 books? @offtoneverland 54?? That's so great! I would be willing to bet I am at 12, if you don't count school books. Maybe 15-17 ish? And I really enjoy reading, I just don't have a lot of time.
@offtoneverland I love the Percy Jackson series! Have you read the Heroes of Olypus series also, or any of the other series he has? I haven't read Apollo but recently bought the first two, and the first Magnus Chase wasn't bad I will keep reading it. Did you read the Fablehaven series, by any chance? Also good.
@SmashJam Your writing experience sounds like it's been very healing for you. It's great that you've found something to help you cope, and even better that you are needing it less and less. About books, I did read Heroes of Olympus! I really loved it. I only read 2 of his series but really want to read more. I've been wanting to read Magnus Chase as well. Thanks for the rec on Fablehaven! I just added it to my Goodreads list.
@And846 a few of my favorite authors are Sarah J. Maas, Tahereh Mafi, and Cassandra Clare.
@offtoneverland I liked the Percy Jackson series (they totally ruined the movies though) but I haven’t had a chance to read Heroes of Olympus yet.

@SkilledSailor I'm not sure if taking time off would help, even though I'd like to think it would. I asked MH last night what he thought. He said to keep doing what we are doing (i.e., trying with all of my stuff - OPKs, acupuncture, BBT, etc). So, I'll probably stop sulking after a couple days and keep on trucking.
@offtoneverland and @smashjam have either of y'all read the Kane Chronicles? Those were fun. I love Rick Riordan's books, but I've read so many of them I started to get burned out on the formula. But the Trials of Apollo seems promising, so that may be what I read next from him.

GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be?Hmmm... making banana bread, doing jigsaw puzzles, plaiting horses (well before my RA got worse)

I am boss af at those two things.CS/Q: awwwww yeah
Month/Cycle: 14/18

R/R: Mac n chili fest today!

GTKY: If you could make anything an Olympic Sport and take home the gold, what would it be?Puppy snuggling
Month/Cycle: 7/7
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: Nothing for the next few days
R/R: Half-assed rave: If AF is going to show up, I'm glad it's a Sunday where I have very little to do. Better Rave: We got down the Christmas decorations yesterday. I haven't put much up yet but we did get first pick at Target and HomeGoods for the things I realized I needed to replace.
CS/Q: Naw
GTKY: Hm...H says having to clean the house when guests are unexpectedly arriving. #ded. He's not wrong. I can get the whole house spotless in an hour if I need to.@jrm_14 Pics of taking your cat to the event? No dogs tried to eat it? I'm actually insanely curious as to how that worked.
@shortstack930 Ugh working DST is awful! Hope you're able to get lots of sleep!
@emmasemm Do you think maybe your temps are up a bit because you're still a little sick? What are you and your H wanting your breakfast routine to be like?
@smashjam A writing date? What are you writing?
@nimmle Aw yeah get it girl
@kiwi2628 So jealous of your mac n chili fest today!
@nimmle Woohoo for O!
@kiwi2628 Puppy snuggles ❤️ Have fun today!

WAYDTGKU: Benched, but OPKs. Big temp drop today so I wonder if O will be soon. OPKs weren't even close to positive yesterday though.
R/R: Another lazy day on the schedule today! I played a ton of Mario Odyssey yesterday and hope to play more today.

Multitasking.@offtoneverland Haha I have shared that gif before.
@nimmle Get it, girl!
@kiwi2628 Enjoy mac n chilli fest
@skilledsailor Sorry about CD 1 *hugs*. Target and HomeGoods are my faves for decorating!
@offtoneverland I think we all have that quality of trying to force ourselves to get up and get moving
@therealbitts Sorry about CD1 *hugs*
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: PNV, HIO.
Big into looking and getting inpsiration on pinterest and then recreating it in my home with my own flavor incorporated in.@jrm_14 I love that you can take your cat to events like that!
@And846 Fx you and YH get some good timing in!

Month/Cycle: 9/9
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: medicated IUI cycle (plus vitamins)
Or cooking. I'm a good cook.@therealbits hugs re having a tough TTC day.

Also good.

@offtoneverland I liked the Percy Jackson series (they totally ruined the movies though) but I haven’t had a chance to read Heroes of Olympus yet.
