1) How far along are you?
38w
2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go?
I'm going weekly now, and at my last appointment, I was 2 cm dilated and the doctor told me he thought LO will be making her appearance in about 10 days or so! 
3) Cravings/symptoms?
No cravings, but I'm now hyper aware of every little movement and feeling.
I am noticing slight swelling in my feet, but I'm still on my feet a good chunk of the day teaching. 
4) Rants/raves/concerns?
I had to ramp up my prep for maternity leave, but nothing I can't handle!
5) Anything else you want to add/ask?
6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?
I love seeing all the Christmas lights and decorations. When I was a kid, we would always go drive around, listen to Christmas music, and look at the lights, and I want to continue that tradition with our daughter (even if this year, we may not have our house decorated...)

How did it go?
I am now going to MFM everyday for a NST. I have my weekly OB appts every Monday. Last Monday I was 1 cm dilated. 
3) Cravings/symptoms?
No cravings. 
4) Rants/raves/concerns?
I am beyond uncomfortable and the swelling is bad. But I’m managing. The end is in sight. 
5) Anything else you want to add/ask?

6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?
Getting together with family.

3) Cravings/symptoms? insomnia like crazy but melatonin has helped some. Horrible pelvic pressure if I stand or walk for longer than about 5 minutes. This makes operating reaaaalllllyyy fun right now 

4) Rants/raves/concerns? time is going so slow right now

6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?
I love shopping for presents for other people. Especially when I still lived in Chicago where there is real winter weather and all the lights downtown. I love the combination of snow and Christmas lights and fireplaces. Phoenix gets none of those

thank you for posting!  this thread is my fav and i missed it!

1) How far along are you?  36+3!  (i think i will be one of the last on this board to have my bambino!)
2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go?  regular midwife appointment last week - was good!  checked my iron is low, so will need to start taking supplements again even though they make me puke-y.  i have an ultrasound tomorrow to see if he is still breeched and then regular midwife appointment the next day where i'll do the group b test.  was anyone else nervous about the inserting in the rectum part?  i feel really squeamish about it.
3) Cravings/symptoms?  veggie sushi and fruit - it is like first trimester is back.  also having a lot of acid reflux, trouble sleeping and swelling and cramping in my hands.  ouchies.
4) Rants/raves/concerns?
5) Anything else you want to add/ask?  for those that are still pregnant in colder climates (i'm in ontario) - what are you all doing for winter coats etc?
6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?  time off and relaxing!

2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go? Had an appointment on Friday, but this was the third time my OB wasn't available because she was attending a labor. I get it...it happens, but it's super frustrating. Luckily, they got me in with another OB who I had never met and I got to hear her heart rate. But I wasn't able to talk with my OB about the group b strep re-test. So hoping she can actually see me this upcoming Friday.
3) Cravings/symptoms?
I have had an awful taste in my mouth for months and it is getting stronger. It's like a weird after-taste that lingers...and it is quite unpleasant. I just want it to go away. But no amount of drinking water, eating snacks or brushing my teething and gargling helps.
4) Rants/raves/concerns?
I want her to stay in until at least her due date so she is ready and healthy, but it is becoming so uncomfortable. In a perfect world, she would arrive on November 19 or 20 (a few days before her due date) so that DH can be home for two weeks with her (we have Thanksgiving week off already)....but who knows when she will arrive. I just know it is getting hard to even stay sitting for a while because it feels like a bowling ball is lodged into my crotch.
5) Anything else you want to add/ask? Nope.
6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?
I love the smell of cinnamon pine cones that we usually put out in December and I love the variety of food on Thanksgiving. It makes me a little sad this year that we asked DH's mom not to cook on Thanksgiving. Given that is my due date and she may come around then, I didn't want her to buy and prep a lot of food and then we end up at the hospital/in labor and it goes to waste. But I love, love, love, eating small bites of all the food and she is an amazing cook.

@dragonfly87-2 our "perfect world" inductdate choice is the 19th as well!! Born before misery discomfort and our of the hospital by thanksgiving. H seems convinced he will come on the 20th for some reason. If he does my family will be here to cook thanksgiving

2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go? have one tomorrow, I didn’t get my cervix checked at my last appt but I will again tomorrow, 2 weeks ago I was dialated to a 3 so I’m hoping to see some more progress and get a membrane sweep
3) Cravings/symptoms? @dragonfly87-2 I’ve been having an awful mouth taste too! Just in the last week or so and it only seems to happen at night but it’s so bad that it makes me nauseous so I go to bed with a piece of gum in my mouth which I know is terrible but nothing else works!
4) Rants/raves/concerns? I wanted to make this birth a little more private than my others, it was like a parade of people always coming and going from the hospital when I had my last son, even had some show up without warning so I told my boyfriend I wanted to wait until we got home for visitors this time and he didn’t really say no but didn’t really seem to back me up on the idea either...also suggested having it be just the two of us in the delivery room this time around- my mom and sister were both in the room last time which was fine but I just thought it would be nice to have it be a little more special and intimate for us this time since this will be our last baby- explained that all to him and his response was just “why?”.....

6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season? I love getting to play Santa. When I grew up my parents were fairly religious so from the get go it was always “santa isn’t real, this is about Jesus” my 7 year old knows it’s a holiday for Jesus but also believes in Santa so it’s fun for me to get to be the reason he gets to experience something I always felt like I missed out on growing up! Seeing his face when we run into santa at the store is pretty priceless. Although I’m pretty sure this will be our last year of him believing

@whatwillanndo The strep B test is super quick and painless; try not to worry about the swab! I think the whole thing took less than 10 seconds, and the "back" part was probably 2 seconds.

2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go? Had a fun appointment on Friday. She was really digging into my belly to feel baby's size and position. The baby is very low in the pelvis, and apparently has meaty thighs! She estimated that he/she will be just under 8 lbs, which sounds like a good guess since that's what both my husband and I weighed.
3) Cravings/symptoms? Lots of movement and lots of Braxton Hicks. Intense pelvic pressure since the babe's head is lodged down there.
4) Rants/raves/concerns? I'm just so ready and excited to give birth and have this sweet baby in my arms instead of in my belly. 
5) Anything else you want to add/ask?
6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season? Oh gosh, I can't pick one thing! I guess I'll say it's that feeling of coziness/warmth. (That covers the lights, candles, wreaths, decorating the Christmas tree, Christmas music, wrapping presents, baking cookies, sending & receiving cards, visiting family...) :-D

@whatwillanndo As @YesOuiCan said, it's quick and painless. It is a bit awkward though. The worst part is waiting for the results (only a day or two). 75% of women will test negative for it and the 25% who do (unfortunately I am one of them) will be recommended to get antibiotics during labor to lower the risk of passing on group b strep to baby.

2) Any appointments this week or last week? How did it go? Had one last Friday, one this morning, going again on Thursday. Friday's was scary. I went in for 3:15, found out I had lost weight from the previous week, then my belly measured smaller than last week. Had to run to the hospital for an emergency ultrasound at 6 PM. Fortunately the ultrasound showed he's doing OK (although he moved from the 46th percentile to 40th). Also I was apparently 70% effaced but she couldn't tell if I was dilated. My appointment this morning showed I lost even more weight and this NP thought I was only 50% effaced, not dilated at all. Not sure what's going on. Hoping to NOT deliver in the next couple days.

3) Cravings/symptoms? Baby has definitely dropped and I can barely stand when he is weighing down my bladder. I honestly thought I might be going yesterday afternoon as I felt so weighed down in my hips and crampy and am having a lot of watery CF. But today I am light as a feather. No specific cravings. I swear I ate so much this weekend to make sure the baby is getting enough food and I STILL lost weight.

4) Rants/raves/concerns? Not super psyched about my belly shrinking but I guess it must be OK. Nursery is *this close* to being done, which I am in fact super psyched about. I should probably pack my hospital bag, huh?

5) Anything else you want to add/ask? I'm feeling a little sad that this chapter in my life will be over soon - the whole TTC, being pregnant, all that. I almost want to take one last pregnancy test to see one last BFP - kind of umb and I wouldn't waste the money but the thought crossed my mind.

6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season? I love putting up the tree, when it's new and smells so good, and also I love making all the food - planning the menu and spending fun time in the kitchen.

@DungeonTrollMel we lived in Chicago too for many years, and I used to love Michigan Ave Christmas shopping.

Now that we're in Massachusetts we do the Common/Downtown Crossing/Quincy Market in late November which also has a great wintery city feel for Christmas. It's kind of a fun post-Thanksgiving destination to get you into the holiday mood.

@abby7 Hopefully it's just your bowels moving better. Stay hydrated and remember that you are at full term. Stats this far along come from a much smaller sample size than previously in pregnancy because so many babies are born early.

Last Tuesday I was 1 cm and cervix was soft, my next appointment is tomorrow afternoon. 
3) Cravings/symptoms?
The pelvic pressure is horrible and my sciatica makes it so hard to walk by the end of the day! 
4) Rants/raves/concerns?
Went to the ER on Friday because I had only felt baby move once in almost 24 hours. He wouldn't even move when the doctor jostled my stomach around and told me it was a big baby for a girl my size. He finally moved after they gave me a big glass of juice. They monitored me for 2 hours before sending me home.
5) Anything else you want to add/ask?
6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the holiday season?
The smell of fresh pine tree, family gatherings and the food.

@NYTino24 it's hard to think I could be full term, but you're right. I do think I measured smaller because he was SO far down in the pelvis that the u/s tech couldn't even get a good head measurement. I can't believe it's less than a week now until delivery and all this will be a memory.

Any other ladies dealing with constant braxton hicks?

I am fairly certain that they are just that, but they are happening more frequently now and it is so uncomfortable. A few of them actually hurt last night and I thought I might be going into labor, but they calmed down. I would say they are happening every 10-20 minutes, but not at consistent intervals and they generally don't hurt....ugh. But her head is definitely lodged down in my pelvis.
