I think 8-10 weeks is pretty standard, believe it or not. Mine is the same. I know it’s tough to wait but hang in there!

@furmama1986 I don't know how I missed what stlmegs commented on! Yeah, I remember being really surprised my first pregnancy, too, that I wouldn't be seen until 8 weeks. I almost died waiting! But yeah, totally normal. It's because the baby's pretty much not big enough to see before then except in very rare cases, and they like to check for a heartbeat. Most insurances limit the number of ultrasounds they'll cover, so they like to make em count. If you look on the US thread, you'll see mine at exactly six weeks and there's no visible baby, just a sac, so I'm going back at 8 weeks. The only reason my doc saw me sooner was because of a previous loss, to check everything is looking good. Hang in there! Waiting is the worst!

This is almost exactly my situation! Carly is 15 months (born July 22) and estimated due date is July 12!.

@KellyFM522 What do you do in genealogy? My boss recently did an ancestry DNA test and found out she's 47% Ashkenazi Jewish, whereas both of her brothers were 74% Italian (she grew up Italian). She then did the 23 and Me test and got the same result. She knows her mom was engaged to a Jewish boy before she married my boss's father, so shes prettt sure the man she thought was her father wasn't! Anyway, she's been talking about hiring someone to help her sort this all out.  How crazy, right?!

Hi! My husband and I are both 32 and found out last week that we are expecting our 3rd (EDD 7/13). We currently have 4 and 2 year old sons.  We are SO excited and anxious about adding to our family... and sometimes wonder what in the world we were thinking! Praying for healthy July '18 babies for all!

Hi all, I have been lurking on this BMB since it started, impatiently waiting to be able to take tests. I got a very faint BFP on Friday and it has gotten increasingly darker since. My name is Kelley and I live in TX with my husband and two dogs. This will be our first baby and we will both be 30 by EDD, 7/24. I work in IT as a network analyst and MH works in the aerospace industry. I am new to the bump and still trying to learn all of the acronyms and rules so please bear with me.

I am so happy for all of you and looking forward to getting to know everyone throughout this journey.

 My name is Kelley, this is my second pregnancy. I work in critical care and I'm gong to school part time. I have a French Bulldog, Nanday Conure, and a 3 year old daughter. 
My Fiance and I have been trying for 2 months after my iud removal. 
I just got my first positive test yesterday, so I'm really hoping for a sticky baby and darker tests. I'm 11dpo.

Hello all - got my first bfp this morning at 12DPO so cautiously joining with an edd of July 19 based on LMP (but July 26 based on O date). This is my first pregnancy so feeling very nervous but also excited. I am turning 27 next month and live in Alberta, Canada!

Hello! Just found out we're expecting surprise baby #3! We have DD who is 3.5 and DS who is 2 in Feb. I've been here before, but was part of the original exodus back in early 2015. Or second online home blew up and I gave up following them around haha.
Scared for going through this all again but also super excited to have another shot at all of it. Hoping the pregnancy sticks, and wondering why my parents haven't responded to the picture of the pregnancy test I sent them.
I likely won't post much unless I feel compelled... With two under 4 and working I don't have time to keep up with everything on here, but I'm looking forward to being here with you all. Good luck ladies and H&H pregnancies to all!

Nervously posting: Hello, my name is Melissa, I'm 35 and live in NH with my DH. I work full time as a nurse. I go at a BFP on 11/7 with a very faint line. I took a digital test on 11/8 and it was also positive. I also had a beta drawn on 11/8 and it was on the lower side but had a beta drawn again on 11/10 a d it more than doubled in less than 48 hours so I am just going to try to relax. *TW* This is my second pregnancy, my first ended at almost 22 weeks due to thanatoporic skeletal dysphasia *end TW*  My EDD is 7/22 according to my LMP, so that makes me 4 weeks today. So fingers crossed for a healthy, sticky baby and a normal, boring pregnant.

Hello everyone!  My name is Alia, I am 26 and I am pregnant with our first baby after two months of trying! 

This is all very new to me and the DH. We found out on Tuesday 7th Nov, booked an appointment to see the Dr the next day, who did a blood test to confirm. 

We have an EDD of 9th July, based on my LMP.

We have also booked our ultrasound for December 12th, where I will be around 10 weeks pregnant to confirm the date and see the baby! 

Right now we live in a 1bed 1bath condo, and so our house hunting has been stepped up a notch. 

Very very excited but not feeling symptoms except sensitive nipples at the beginning.

Looking forward to being with you all on this journey!

Hi Everyone! My name is Mary, and while I'm practically a senior citizen here at 38, this will (hopefully) be our 1st child. I live & work in NYC; I run a technology business and my DH works in finance. We've been married 8.5 years, have a 9-year old Pug, and are both excited and scared shitless as it's been a LONG road. BFP 10/28; EDD 7/11; all my #s look good this time but U/S at 5W2D only had gestational sac so far...

I’m a second time mom due some time in early July, but I may go early. I have PCOS so my doctor has yet to give me a due date. I’m a senior leader in a large company and my family recently moved to Cincinnati from the NYC area for my job. My husband works part time and is an amazing SAHD.

I am petrified for good reason. *TW* my first is almost six, when I was pregnant with her I had gestational diabetes, hypertension and pre-eclampsia. She was delivered via emergency csection where they couldn’t wait for my husband, so I was alone for the surgery.  She was in the NICU for 33 days and suffered a stroke at birth. Over the past few years we have had several diagnosis and treatments. She’s had multiple surgeries including a Gtube. Through exome sequencing we found she has a rare genetic condition. That is a sponteous mutation and not passed from us.  It’s taken a long time to be ready for #2, but she tube free, in kindergarten, potty trained and doing amazing!

So because of all of that, I have ptsd. I don’t go to baby showers,try to avoid other people’s newborns and cringe when people say “as long as it’s healthy”. /*TW

So, that’s me... despite everything I am very sarcastic (humor is my coping mechanism) and reesliant.

Hello! Just a cautious little introduction (PGAL brain is real, even after a successful pregnancy).

I'm Jess, 31 and mama to 13.5m old twin boys (Nov 16 board though the impatient little things showed up at 33 weeks) and expecting our third and final July 18 (dear god I hope it's only one in there). I'm a nurse at a tertiary level children's hospital in Canada, married five years this May.

Wow the PTSD is totally understandable.  So glad to hear she is doing well now. Welcome to the board and I hope you  have a smooth pregnancy and find any kind of support you need here!

A cautiously optimistic introduction. I am 37 years old and if this baby sticks it will be my first.

I have been pregnant four times with no babies, yet. With each pregnancy I have progressed a little further. During my last pregnancy, it was discovered that I am MTHFR positive which could help explain why I lost my first two. My last baby had down syndrome and developed a severe cystic hygroma. His little heart stopped beating at 16 wks. This time around we used clomid to encourage my eggs, and my doctor had me start Lovonox injections and my folate supplement as soon as I ovulated, so I am hopeful that everything will go smoothly this time. 

I just got my BFP yesterday with an EDD of 7/23/18

I also a proud step-mom to by beautiful 9 year old step-daughter and mother to two very fat cats.

Hello ladies! I’m new to this board but not to the bump. Found out that we are expecting on Halloween at 12dpo and have an Edd of 7/9. 

This is will be baby #3 for me and #2 for hubby. I have a 16yo son from a previous relationship. My hubs and I have a 2.5 yo DD who is the love of our lives. She keeps us on our toes and we can only hope that baby 2.0 (3.0) is just like her!  

We we live in NJ right by Joint Base MDL. I was a bookkeeper until recently accepting a job with the Sate of NJ as a Senior Clerk. Hubs works for our township in the Streets & Roads deptartment. We have 2 dogs and 3 ducks. 

Just wanted to say hello!

Hi everyone!  Cautiously introducing myself.  I got my bfp on Wednesday (less than a week after my husband and I decided that our family felt complete at 2... it seems the universe has other plans!) I have two sons (2 and 4) *tw I'm suffering from some pgal. I had a mc at 6.5 weeks in between my two boys.  With the following pregnancy I had a velamentous cord insertion  (meaning the umbilical cord did not attach to the placenta properly) which had me convinced I would never get to meet my baby... luckily he was born healthy (despite a bit of a fast/traumatic birth) end tw*

I am a music teacher in Canada and hoping to be able to stick around and get to know you all!

Hi everyone!  So happy to be here.  I have two other children, a 7 year old son and a 4 year old daughter and we decided to stop preventing and go for #3.  I got my BFP on Friday, and I think my due date will be around July 24th.  Very excited but nervous!  Will take any and all advice on life with 3.  Oh, and I'm 37!

Hello!  Also cautiously introducing myself (thanks to PGAL brain).  I’m 40 and DH is 42 - we got married in June 2016 and this will be our first child.  We live in Los Angeles - I work as a financial analyst and DH works in business development.  I spent just a couple of months on April 17 (baby’s EDD was DH’s birthday - and his mom and I have the same birthday - how weird is that?) before we *TW* lost our little girl at 11w5d.  We spent this past year doing several IVF cycles to PGS test (chromosomally screen), finally made it to our first transfer this month, and here we are!  Got first BFP on hpt last Thursday (tested thanks to Crystal321 , Saturday’s beta was 153, and this morning’s was 324.  If I’m doing the math right, our EDD is 7/21.

We rescued a sweet and beautiful but slightly crazy dobie/ridgeback mix six months ago today!

@christycalifornia and @amylu914 DH and I are also native Californians.  I’m from central CA originally but moved to LA for undergrad 22 years ago, and DH is from Marin County (but also moved south for undergrad - unfortunately to go to *that other* school).

@artemis618 First off, great screen name. Second, I'm sorry for your loss. PGAL here, too. There are a lot of us, and the support on here has been great. I hope you jump in! Third, holla, native Californian! I tell you, I am REGRETTING not having In n Out this pregnancy. Single/Double with light onion, ketchup mustard instead of spread was my LIFE last pregnancy! But I have a decent bathtub now, so trade-offs? Marin is so pretty! The place and the name! It's actually on my (long) list of baby names. Welcome to the board!
