Re: WTO/TWW Week of 10/29

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: CD17/3DPO

    TWW - Timing: -5, -1 (x2)

TWW - Testing: It's too early to test, so I'm gonna hold out for a few more days. How early can you test? With us seeing both sets of parents next week, it's on my mind.

R/R: WHY IS MY DH SYMPTOM SPOTTING HE IS NOT HELPING

GTKY: It's Halloween! What was your favorite costume from when you were a kid? My mom hand made me a Rainbow Brite costume when I was probably about 6 or 7.

  • @dreamscapes_ I know some people get BFP as early as 10 days, and a few lucky ducks get them as early as 7 or 8 I think. Typically people wait until 10, but I'd say definitely should show positive by 12-14 DPO. Sorry DH isn't helping with the SS, luckily my DH is pretty clueless  :D

  • @CecilB93 Thanks! My DH is unfortunately well aware of the app and symptoms and all of that, so he's just as likely to SS as I am.

@dreamscapes_ - yay for TWW! I would hold out until at least 10dpo as well. Implantation is typically between 6-10dpo and HCG will not begin accumulating in your system until after implantation. So as tempting as testing early is, consider holding out as long as possible to save your sanity and avoid disappointment - it would only be a BFN until likely 10dpo. FX for you!

  • Haven't actually started trying yet, but wanted to chime in!

R/R: have 90% of the house unpacked. Most things are put away, a few boxes to unpack and DH has lots of pictures to hang, but the other stuff is done. :-D

GTKY: It's Halloween! What was your favorite costume from when you were a kid? I had a super cute angel costume as a kid, complete with a tinsel halo and wings. I wanted to wear it ALL the time.

  • @dreamscapes_ I'd say 9DPO is the earliest. Whenever people say they got one earlier than that, I assume they were probably wrong about O date.

    Month/Cycle: 3/1

    CD/DPO: 6

WTO - WAYDTGKU: PNVs (when I remember) temping

CS/Q: CD10 is a good time to start OPKs, right? I've never Oed before CD 26 that I know of.

R/R: CD 6 and I'm ready for AF to GTFO

Once I was a cluster of grapes. I pinned a bunch of purple balloons to a purple shirt and my mom made me a stem hat. It was exactly as I imagined it. I couldn't sit down easily, though

  • @catlady2015 Thank you! Hopefully I'll be able to hold out until Tuesday, but I kind of don't want to bring it with me to the hotel. We're sharing the room with my family, so that'll be a bit awkward. I'm glad you guys are nearly unpacked! Your angel costume sounds like it was really cute :)

@lalala2004 I'm going based on what FF says is my O date, so 9-10 is Monday and Tuesday. We'll see what happens! What kind of tests are you using? If they're expensive, I'd probably wait until closer to your historical data and go from there. My test are just cheapies, so I didn't mind using them early. Hopefully AF will go away soon! The grape costume is always adorable!

  • @lalala2004 I agree with @dreamscapes_ if they're cheapies then 10 seems good, but if not then maybe wait until CD18 maybe? I ended up O'ing a week early and was glad I was using OPKs earlier than my expected O date!

  • The cheapies I’m using came with like 20 pregnancy tests, too, so it’s hard to ignore that justification at the moment, lmao. My O date seems to shift around some, so I figured since this cycle was go time, I’d just start early and go from there.

  • @dreamscapes_ yeah, they're Wondfos, so cheap and I have a ton. Let's pee on all the things!

  • @notthefather I actually have three kinds of tests, lol. I have FRER, CBAD, and something that's similar to Wondfos, but is a different brand (and that I don't really recommend). I'm likely to use one of the two name brands first and go from there :) I'm excited to see you pop in, though! I can't believe how far along you are!

  • Seeing @notthefather reminds me that we need a grad check in! Anyone remember all our grads? I'd be afraid I'd forget someone.

  • I'm having a brain fart and can't remember everyone at the moment. I'm sure we could probably go to the last grad thread to pull everyone's names, then go through the subsequent TWW threads to compile the new additions.

  • Also lurking and TW for testing information in spoiler and siggie
I was temping and tracking with FF. I used the Walmart cheapies and First Response. I didn't get my positive test on either one until 14 DPO. I think it depends on implementation and when you have enough HCG. Having said that... I typically started testing at 9 DPO. :)

Like @notthefather said I'm pulling for you! I check these threads often!

    Good luck @dreamscapes_!
