@izza2 Good to see you again! We've missed you in BOTB, but were delighted to figure out why
@katykat03 My husband and I have similar squabbles every time we plan a trip. I love cities and foreign languages; he loves nature and the beach. Where in Europe is top of your list?
1. EDD - June 25
2. I am feeling fine. No pregnancy symptoms yet. But last time I didn’t even find out I was pregnant until about 7 weeks, so hoping this is normal for me.
3. Appts- first one will be November 15
for 8 week US. Cannot come soon enough
4. Rants/Raves: I wish I was having symptoms to help reassure me.
DH has been out of town since I got my BFP. I had to call him to tell him. Hopefully he will be back in the next few days but with the military you never know.
4. Questions- When is everyone planning on announcing? We did at 10 weeks last time and I’m thinking of doing an announcement on Thanksgiving which will make me 9ish weeks.
GTKY: I’ll be the odd one out and say my twin sister. We would do Italy. Rome, Venice, Pompeii, Tuscany...eat all the pasta and drink all the wine (Not pregnant in this scenario ;-) )

@profmcgonagall Thanks for helping to reassure me lol. I'm definitely considering using one of the cheapie HCG tests I still have!
@oneblessedmess I'm so jelly that you have IRL friends who are pregnant with you!
@emiliadkay Maybe I'm the UO here, but I'm going next week at about the 6 1/2 weeks mark. I really want the second US to confirm (or not) twins. My doctor also seems pretty liberal with the US appointments, though, since it is just a department in the hospital. She just put the order in, then her assistant calls and schedules you and that's it - not really a big deal.
@katykat03 I am so tired, too. If I stay up past 8:30, I feel like it is an accomplishment.
@izza2 Thumbs up on managing your morning sickness. I'm not there yet, but copying your plan into my notes, so I can try it when it rolls into town.
I would probably relive my honeymoon to Bora Bora, but expand it to more of French Polynesia. It was the most beautiful place I've ever been. Or my grandmother always reminisces about her honeymoon with my grandfather (he passed away almost 6 years ago) to Cuba. It would be nice to be able to take her back there.
I loved the BMB and have continued to lurk over there, but after the last time I was on there I had to take a break, and then just didn't feel comfortable really participating after I had regrouped.

@profmcgonagall I will announce to more family and friends after my first ultrasound, probably on social media around 10-12 weeks. I did it at 10 last time.
@katykat03 Are you doing anything fun this weekend?
@emiliadkay Would you be getting an US at your appointment? If so, I would push your appointment to 7 weeks, that way if you ovulated late you would still be able to see/ hear the heartbeat.
@oneblessedmess That's fun that your friend is expecting close to the same time as you. It will be nice for you to have someone IRL to talk to about the pregnancy. As for POAS, I still pee on one every couple of days, but I think I'm going to stop on Saturday.
@profmcgonagall FX your DH comes home soon!
@LaceyBee522 Could you call your OB's office and ask about your epipen? Or you could even call a pharmacy to see what they say.
@lrichhx05 Please start taking your prenatals, it's really important for both your health and the baby. It can also help to prevent neural tube birth defects, which affect the brain and spinal cord.

@LaceyBee522 8:30?!? I wish I could stay up that late. I fall asleep early then wake up at 1 and can’t get back to sleep. Ughhhh
@ChloandCoco no real plans. DD has a birthday party Saturday (during nap, who does that?!?). The rest of the weekend will be prepping our house for sale!
sad the house we previous had an offer on went to pending. I was still hoping there would be a chance. I have about half a million errands to run today. Rave: once my errands are done I can relax.
my DH and I would go somewhere warm and relaxing. I've seen the Seychelles on TV and from friends vacations and it looks so beautiful!
2. A little nauseous and very tired.
3. I’m actually excited to be feeling a little icky! It makes me actually feel pregnant! I know once I get full on ms I won’t be as thrilled.
4. Next Wednesday is interview, won’t have USound Until at least 6.5 weeks.
GTKY:
id take DH and go to Italy or Greece or Iceland (that’d be his chcoice!)
Thank you all for the input re: appointment scheduling! We ended up with an appointment for 7 weeks on the dot, and I'm already counting the days.
@oneblessedmess I've peed on a cheapie every day since my BFP, and will continue until I run out of tests or that first appointment finally gets here! I'm too nervous to temp, just because I know how much I would worry over a faulty temperature. But you're definitely not alone
@katelynrae86 10 weeks is soooo long to wait! But on the bright side, there'll be so much more to be excited about by the time you get there.
@fantasticmrsfox Heeeyyy due date buddy
@galactickates I'm sorry about the house
It's hard. You've probably already heard this from everyone (I wanted to punch everyone who said it to me), but you are going to find one that's even better and more perfect for your family. Just wait.
@ChloandCoco Congratulations on the great hcg results, and GOOD LUCK with the interview tomorrow. Hope you ace it whatever you end up deciding about the job.
@lrichhx05 Ditto to what everyone else has said above. Go get the prenatals! Do it now!!
@LaceyBee522 LOVE the idea of repeating your honeymoon! DH and I have talked about doing that for our 5th year anniversary, but a chance to do it much sooner, for free, doesn't sound so bad.
@profmcgonagall I know 9-ish weeks might feel soon, but I can't think of a better holiday than Thanksgiving to announce the upcoming little one, especially if all your family will be together. Let us know what you decide!
@oneblessedmess I'm out of tests otherwise I'd still be peeing. I may do a Wal-Mart run for more .88 cheapies.
@lrichhx05 I always remember to take gummy vitamins (morning candy!) but forget other kinds.
What's your EDD? 6/23
6/30 based on LMP
Not too bad yet, some heartburn and upset stomach/queasiness in the morning but good the rest of the day. I’m so dreading the 24/7 nausea and fatigue I had the first tri last with my son!
11/21 is my first appt. The wait is awful!
I quit my job to stay home with my son, my last day is tomorrow and I can’t wait! I’m so excited to be home with him and have time to start participating on the board and get to know you ladies!
DH, and I’d go to a tropical island so we can just relax and do NOTHING!
@llamamama14 I am SO. Sorry. About the puke. That is the absolute worst.
And you should also fake drink! Maybe ginger ale to look like champs, dark colored juice to look like red wine... Or just hold a glass of wine, take fake sips, sneak off every now and then and dump some... Or a colored beer bottle, clean it out and fill with water.

Feeling - okay. Starting to feel a little pregnant. Had to have my go-to cheez its and ginger ale today. Also tired and super hungry/thirsty.
Appt - ultrasound on Thursday!!! Hoping to get more accurate dates since I never had a period (nursing my 18 month old still).
Rants/raves - I wish my husband was a little.more excited :-( he was very in the fence about #3 and isn't super into the pregnancy or newborn phases anyway but it's kind of a bummer.
GTKY - definitely with my husband to Greece! Always wanted to go there!

And don't worry guys I understand the importance of prenatals, I'm going to go get some tomorrow. I'm just still coming around to the idea of being pregnant again and have had a million things on my mind.
@lrichhx05 If you have CVS in your area, the generic CVS prenatal gummies are frequently BOGO. (So 2 for under $12) I stock up when they're on sale.
@LGW2015 Enjoy some day naps if you can now that you SAHM. And stock up on yoga pants.
@izza2 Glad you’re managing the ms, seems like a good strategy.
@katykat03 It’s almost Saturday now! I’ve had some really cranky moments this week where I’ve had to tell myself, this person is not that annoying, it’s your hormones, chill.
@emiliadkay Excited for your 7 week appt. It’s good to have it on the books.
@oneblessedmess I haven't temped in a while, but I have only had a few days where I didn't POAS...
@profmcgonagall If it were me I would feel comfortable announcing to family/close friends at 9 weeks after a good scan. I have taken a bit of a different tack this pregnancy and have already told my mom, sister, and a friend, even though we haven’t had a scan. TW These are all people I have told in the past when something went wrong, so I know I would be ok with them knowing if something went wrong. end TW. Then we’ll probably tell a few more family/close friends after we have a good 8w scan. For a wider audience, including extended family, for me, I think we’ll wait until end of first tri. It’s all very personal, I don’t think there’s a wrong decision.
@laceybee522 Will be interested to see your post-scan update next week.
@irichhx05 I have been on prenatals for… 8 months. I am also on so many vitamins and supplements I use a pill organizer that is full to the brim. Please take your prenatal vitamins (+DHA, sometimes it’s not included), and consider one with folate/methyl folate. Smarty Pants has a nice gummy. The most important time to take them is now.
@chloandcoco Let us know how the interview goes. Still so psyched for your betas.
@galactickates Glad your spotting stopped.
@fantasticmrsfox Yay for ms! I get it, I would be a little excited too!
@katelynrae86 Yes to the pregnancy rage. I have caught myself being bitchy to perfectly nice people.
@lo0818 You could try the “I’m on a new medication” excuse? Or get some tonic water and a lime and pretend it’s a gin and tonic? Annoying they are so nosey.
@llamamama14 I like how you broke out those two weeks into two trips! Awesome. I second the juice or ginger ale. Have YH help you maneuver as well.
@lgw2015 Wow! Happy last day of work today!
@pinottoparenthood I’m sorry YH isn’t that excited yet. I think it doesn’t always feel real for them right away.
What's your EDD? 6/27
How are you feeling? Feeling fine. Had a very brief episode of ms on Tuesday and have been fine since. Had a killer headache with some nausea yesterday afternoon but that may have just been stress/work related. Also lightening crotch started last night and my right boob has had some painful pangs. Would not mind more consistent symptoms…
Any appointments this week/coming up? Nov. 3 is my first u/s, will be around 6w2d Cannot get here soon enough, but also nervous about it.
Rants/Raves? Rave: I’m excited for a girls’ night out tonight with some folks I know and some I don’t know very well. Rant: I am not super psyched about one person who will be there. It’s a long story, she’s very self-centered, we used to be close friends but aren’t anymore and I’ve been distancing myself from her. I had to tell her a month ago to stop complaining to me about her pregnancy symptoms TW because I had two losses this year and was going through RPL testing with an RE and it was breaking my heart to hear her complain end TW. You would think now that I’m pregnant too I would be less bothered by her but idk, I find myself slightly jealous that she is so blissfully unaware of what can go wrong, announcing her pregnancy to FB at 11w, generally taking her pregnancy for granted. She also apparently has taken the position that it’s fine to keep drinking wine while pregnant and I’m not sure I want to see that. I think that’s a personal decision and it’s probably fine in moderation, but especially during first tri it is personally not worth it to me, idk, again, I think it’s just an annoyance at the privilege of being innocent. I’m trying to look at it from the perspective of, this doesn’t effect me, her abundance does not cause scarcity for me, but I’m hoping to just not sit too close to her tonight.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: You and one other person can take an all-inclusive vacation anywhere for the next two weeks at no cost to you: who do you bring, and where do you go? I would take DH and go to Greece and do a Mediterranean cruise. On my fantasy vacation, all the cheese there is pasteurized, lol.
@llamamama14 That's exactly what I've been doing with my two close girlfriends at the Junior League. I am buying my own wine, sipping, then handing off. If I were to order something non-alcoholic it would be discussed - I know, because I've discussed other women before. Lol!
@galactickates I'm so bummed to hear about your house. I remember you talking about that a month or so ago. I hope it just means there is something better out there for you.
@pinottoparenthood First, love your username! Also, I would love to go to Greece and then do a Mediterranean cruise. It all looks so beautiful on Below Deck Med.
Thanks @zamora_spin - I was really stressed until it stopped but talking to an advice nurse really calmed down. I have a new Dr office and every person I've talked to has been so comforting. I feel really happy, relieved, and relaxed now that I found them.
I’m having a lazy morning.
We went out for a fancy anniversary dinner last night. Things that I normally love (bibimbap with shaved white truffles) made me gag. So annoying. It was also the first time I really missed wine. I had to tell the sommelier I was pregnant because she always picks wine for us. She was super sweet about it and made me some “temperance cocktails.”
ETA: Anyone have any tips for getting fluids and food into a sicky? She won’t even eat a popsicle.
