Membranes Stripped; Now What?

So, I went in for me 37 week appointment yesterday (at 37 weeks 3 days).  I was almost 2cm dilated and she said my cervix was very soft.  She asked if I wanted to have my membranes stripped, and I agreed.  I had that done approximately 1:30pm yesterday, and I have had mild cramping around my lower stomach and back area since.  My whole body just seems a bit achy.  I am curious if this appears to be the right track for actually going into labor?  I have heard that the stripping only works in about half the people who get it done.  So, did it work for you?  How long did it take? What were you feeling before actually going into labor? Thanks!

    Did this end up putting you into labor? I have an appointment this Thursday, and if I'm dilated I'm hoping to have this done!

    yeah i had my membrane stripped three times didnt do a thing sorry. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt
