While I am very grateful for the "me too" campaign and how it's getting more people to share their stories without shame, am I the only one that has read a few and thought they forgot to put a TW with it? Clearly my brain isn't good about switching back and forth between platforms.
@skilledsailor The ones I've seen haven't shared their personal stories, they just put "me too." I do wish they had though. I saw one post where a commenter was basically saying that she was making it up, and there's no way anything has ever happened to her....yada yada yada. I was disgusted...He was totally missing the point, and just proving why such a campaign is needed.
AFM....I'm totally digging the new M&M flavors, especially the caramel ones, but I wish they had done more unique/strong flavors. Like, can I get some espresso bean or coffee flavors PLEASEEEE? They better not do a pumpkin flavor...I expect more from my M&Ms than that crap.
@josie12367. I hate to break it to you, here in the US there are pumpkin spice m&m’s. And I believe coffee ones, too. DON’T HATE THE MESSANGER! Eta: coffee
@josie12367 I've seen a few share their stories. Only a couple were triggers though. And they should make a TP button on FB for comments like that guy's.
@jrm_14 I haven't seen the coffee ones! I have a new goal this week...
Oh man, the coffee M&M's are pretty amaze-balls! Our building manager brought some in a few weeks ago. I could nom on them all day. He also brought in pumpkin spice Hershey kisses, which *barf* were gross. I like me some pumpkin spice, but those were nasty. It's actually pretty cool, recently if he sees something at the store that he's curious as to what it tastes like he'll bring it in to share for all of us to try. He did that with Pepsi Fire (not a fan). He brings in different boom-chicka-pop's. We currently have the white chocolate peppermint, hot cocoa, and birthday cake)<----all three are soooooo good, the PS kisses, and the coffee M&M's. I my job some days

At pick up this morning, one of my girls came up to me with scratches all over her face- another girl in our class dumped milk on the floor of the school bus, causing the first girl to slip and smash her face into a seat. She's fine, but what a way to start a Wednesday.
I have my first acupuncture session tonight. I'm pretty psyched. Needless to say, I could use the relaxation
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@lurvleybunchococonuts have you tried to pumpkin spice oreos. I don't generally go for the flavored oreos and I love pumpkin but am not really into the oddly flavored pumpkin spice things BUT the oreos I think are great. The cookie part taste like a graham cracker crust and the filling is nice and pumpkiny although sweeter that pumpkin pie
I love coffee but can’t stomach coffee-flavored foods, like snacks or desserts. Same with lemon! I’m curious about the pumpkin spice M&Ms though! I think the food industry has gone a little overboard with the pumpkin spice though.
Anyone out there in TTGP land have a green thumb? I have none whatsoever, but I bought a peace lily last month to purify the air and because they’re supposed to be easy to take care of. Mine is not looking so hot lately though and I don’t what to do to reassurect, if that’s at all possible.
OMG @jrm_14 I cannot believe I didn't know about those! I know what i'm adding to my Amazon shipment. I wish I could see the person that has to pack up my order: pregnancy test X1 million, OPKs X2 million, special acne makeup and face wash, pregnancy supplements/vitamins, and hordes of M&Ms in every flavor
@dukestar5 I actually am a rare person that likes candy corn....I will be shopping for those too
@lurvleybunchococonuts I would work where you work JUST for the food benefits alone. I love being a taste tester for foods. If I could've been a food critique in another life, I would have....since i'm considering a career shift, maybe I still have time??
@mrs_drc_rn Sorry I'm no help. The only inside plants I seem to keep alive are snake plants. Somehow my garden thrives. Thanks mother nature.
@lurvleybunchococonuts Ugh your workplace sounds both amazing and tempting. I worked in a preschool for a few years and swear the only thing that kept me from gaining 20 pounds was chasing 16 two year olds around all day. There was always some sort of treat at the front desk.
@josie12367 Haha I've had that same Amazon thought before.
@mrs_drc_rn I'm going to be honest....I don't wear a full face of makeup very often, but i've used the same stuff since high school because it's the only kind that doesn't make my face break out. It's the Neutrogena Skin Clearing line. The have a new complexion perfecter out that is light coverage, and doesn't make me feel as insecure as a bare face that I like. I love the whole line really, but the concealer is my absolute favorite thing ever!
As for face washes....I use ProActiv, but it dries out/irriates my skin at times, so I use Clinique's Anti-Redness wash every other wash for my face, so i'm not so splotchy all the time. The lotion also works nicely. I have an intense skin care routine....lol....but it's been the same since high school, and it works, so why mess with it.It's really the only thing I'm high maintenance about, because if I slack at all, I look like I just hit puberty all over again
Apparently my insurance doesn't cover the acupuncture- this doctor just takes it if you come to her for physical therapy. So a $90 splurge for me today.
Let's hope she can work some uterine magic in one session.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@josie12367 I don’t really like wearing a ton of makeup every day either. I’m either going to work at night or to the gym so I like to wear just a B.B. cream most days. I’ll have to check out the Neutrogena line, I’m not really happy with the foundation I bought, it’s a little bit more coverage than I’d like and I think that’s what’s causing my breakouts. Thanks for the recommendations!

@AlohaKumu I just logged on with computer and so far seems ok.
@dukestar5@josie12367 I liked candy pumpkins. Then, my Ma started buying multiple bags for me every fall. I’m still burnt out and she still buys them for me. It would break her heart to know I’m not actually a huge fan anymore. I love candy corn!
@jrm_14, my mom buys me bags of the pumpkins every year too! And it has probably been about 30 years since I really, really loved them. But I will never tell her because it makes her so happy to present me with the bags...
@Augusta108. Yessss! Are you my sister? She used to get us holiday dish cloths & pot holders, too. (For every holiday). I then mentioned I would love cupcake wrappers for each holiday so she switched to that. Then when I had enough for every holiday until I’m 100, I redirected her towards holiday spatulas. . Still, my sister & I get the pumpkins faithfully each year.
@jrm_14, ooh, my mother also has the holiday dish cloths and pot holders covered (and then gets cranky if we’re using them at the wrong time of year), but I don’t think she’s thought of holiday spatulas yet!
@Augusta108. All I had to do was plant the idea. “I love having holiday dish towels! It would be great to have spatulas to match my towels and pot holders!” Eta: punctuation

@SkilledSailor Confirmed with the IF clinic that the wait time for the initial consult is in fact 6-8 months. They can however place me on the list now without a referral, which I have asked them to do. The wait time would also apply to MH having his sperm frozen for us to do IUI while he is away too. Really by the time we actually got in there to see someone, he should be almost back from his deployment.
@nitnat007 good you can get on the wait list already but how can they seriously not prioritize freezing a sperm sample before deployment? Are there DIY home freezing kits available? I know there are increasing products available for home insemination but I never checked for frozen options. If there's nothing available then that is my second business idea of the day! Design and offer sets and process for home preservation...

@emmasemm I know, not impressed that they don't consider that sort of thing an exception. He needs to be a patient of theirs first before that will be done. And there is no where else in the province that does it. Someone did do home freezing, and I need to look into what was involved and how long you could freeze for. I believe they used a Cryotank? Which is about $300. Think you can get cracking on design and prototype by January? I will volunteer to be your test subject!
@nitnat007 Glad you can go ahead and get on the waiting list but that's pretty annoying that can't help with the sperm freezing in the mean time. I feel like that would take a minimal amount of appointment time.
@emmasemm I have a feeling that business would do very well.
@nitnat007 there is a self insemination kit that was started by a couple who couldn't find a good one - and now they both left their jobs and run the business full time, as well as donating some to special causes. They contacted a medical engineer (there are companies which offer ad-hoc consulting) and got support on the materials, design, legal requirements etc. So it's all possible! And if cryotanks are "only" $300 now then surely if it became a bigger market the price would come down. Not sure yet how to tackle the sperm washing part, though the fancy washing is really only important for IUI. Insemination which only goes to the neck of the cervix shouldn't need quite the same process. (I think it was episode 103 on the fertility podcast I heard about the Insemination kit developers on - though I don't advise listening to the second half with the midwife as it moves onto a TW topic)
Maybe if all the military ladies on TB were to write to their local politicians and ask for the possibility of freezing samples before deployment it could start a whole new opportunity anyway. And what an amazing thing to start and then have in place to support generations to come. These things all have to start somewhere.

Someone did do home freezing, and I need to look into what was involved and how long you could freeze for. I believe they used a Cryotank? Which is about $300.
Think you can get cracking on design and prototype by January? I will volunteer to be your test subject!
@emmasemm I have a feeling that business would do very well.
