Yes, today is Day 5, @adirat. So I guess they are going to see if the other two can make it to day 6. I’m also seriously shocked that they said none of them can be PGS tested. I’ve never heard of that happening before! I know I should be happy that we have two at all, but this was SO not what I was expecting. I’m really devastated. We just can’t seem to catch a break.

I'm so sorry @AlohaKumu, how disappointed you must feel. And even if only two make it, hopefully they are both super sticky whenever they are transferred. Praying that all make it to day 6. I'm sure you were expecting way higher numbers than that though, huge hugs my friend.
Well shit @AlohaKumu I'm sorry you got that news!! I hate that this whole IF "game" seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I hope you get good news on the other two tomorrow
@AlohaKumu so much love to you. Please let yourself be disappointed and sad. Tw*pregnancy and loss mentioned in spoiler*
We had 3 embryos (out of 23 eggs and 14 fertilized) make it to day 5 and I honestly wish we hadn't pgs tested them because we had so few. There have been recent articles that pgs abnormal embryos can go on to be totally normal kiddos. We used our only pgs normal embryo and had a loss but the loss was due to a small gestational sac.
I am truly so sorry for what you're going through. I am happy to offer any advice or a shoulder to cry on should you need it.

Big hugs @AlohaKumu. Day 5 is an awful day and I kind of think they shouldn't even update for day 5. Keeping my fingers crossed so hard for day 6 for you.
@darkstar42 ugh! I'm sorry you didn't like your TE. That's super important so I agree it's a good idea to look into other REs. Also, if you don't want to be as aggressive as an IUI yet, what about a TI?
@Redpuma119 I'm starting Letrozole next cycle too. (Waiting to stop progesterone on Saturday) so we can be first time buddies!!
@AlohaKumu I am so sorry to hear that. I know you were expecting much more. I really hope the other 2 also make it tomorrow. Sometimes it's better not to do PGS when you don't have a lot of embies though. We opted not to do it because we knew we wouldn't have many and the science is seriously being called into question right now. I think it's great if you have a whole lot and want to make sure you start with the best. It sucks though that you have to wait just as long when you're not waiting for PGS results anymore. I would call and maybe speak to the nurse or RE about that and also ask why they think so many did not make it. Hugs to you.
@alohakumu big hugs to you and fx for the other two to catch up.

I was able to hide in my friend’s office today and let it all out. She’s a counselor and one of the sweetest people ever. DH picked me up when he was done with work and we went to the RE’s office where I was a mess of a human being. The nurses reassured me that they wouldn’t have frozen the two if they didn’t think they had a chance, and they are still hopeful that the other two could perk up. My doctor is going to see me tomorrow morning, since I have an ever-growing list of questions.
Because my clinic has to use another facility’s space in a limited window of time, I understand that they simply aren’t able to fit me into the November FET list. But it looks like the FET might be at the beginning of December, so at least I wouldn’t have to wait until the end of the month.
I’m trying to look on the bright side and be thankful for what I have. It’s just going to take some time for me to mentally adjust. Hopefully tomorrow’s appointment will be helpful, too. Thank goodness for a loving husband and a glass of wine.

@AlohaKumu not at all to be that annoying person who's all "but at least..." but just to talk about my own experience - I really, REALLY appreciated the time between the ER and FET. The break from the drugs, blood draws, ultrasounds was really therapeutic. It gave me time to go out and let loose or even just be my regular old self for a few weeks before jumping back into it. Since it doesn't seem like there's much you can do to change the FET date maybe instead you could make some fun plans during the waiting period. I had a spa day prior to my FET and I would highly, highly recommend that to you. Go out to dinner with your girlfriends. Go hiking with your H. Your embabies will be safe and secure and you could use some time to decompress.
Yes, you’re totally right, @antoto. I know lots of research supports the benefits of having a break after the ER and I think I do need to take this time to really get myself together. A spa day sounds amazing. I’m going suggest a couple’s massage to DH.

I am having the same problem with mobile, it's recognizing that I'm logged in, but not actually acknowledging that on the boards. I've logged out and back in, but no changes, so I can't comment or love at all. I suspect it has something to do with all of these lovely ads I'm seeing pop up in the middle of threads on mobile...
@AlohaKumu So sorry that the results were not what you expected or wanted. *hugs* @purplg8r This RE didn't mention TI as an option, and I didn't think to ask about it. He seemed to be saying that we should go straight to IUI because of my age.
@AlohaKumu - This is breaking my heart, friend. I wish I could make it all better. <<HUGS>>
@rallykat14 - Girl, you know my fingers and toes are crossed for you!!!!
@darkstar42 - as far as reacting to the hormones, anecdotally, you probably will. Rest assured, it won't be for long. I started symptoms on about day 2 or 3? of taking the pills and they lasted about a week after my last one... but overall, that's not long. You typically only take them for 5 days, so a week-2 weeks isn't really that long. You will survive. Going into it expecting mood changes helps you prepare for it. Good luck.

@AlohaKumu I am glad you were able to hide out in your friends office. So many hugs. There is some research now coming out about PGS and its a bit controversial and equivocal about its true accuracy, so some REs aren't recommending it as much as they used to, so I am hoping it wouldn't have been necessary for you and your embryos are wonderful. So many finger and toes and arms crossed
@AlohaKumu - I am so sorry about the news from your RE I know your hopes were high after the ER so that's certainly disappointing. Looking forward to reading updates now that it's day 6 - thinking of you and hoping for the best!
@rallykat14 - FX!!! You are strong to hold off on testing!
Thank you again for the support everyone. I’m feeling a bit better after sleep. I know my doctor may not be able to answer all my “why” questions this morning, but I am realizing that at least we have 2 (and may have 1-2 more), so all is not lost. I’m also going to discuss what’s going to happen when we lose our current insurance coverage in February, since that’s been stressing me out about our timeline, too.
@rallykat14 I’m hoping for awesome news for you! (I’m totally going to test at least the day before, too.)
I seem to be having the opposite issue as others with logging to The Bump. I can use mobile without a problem, but on the computer it’s like it’s not detecting that I’m logged in. So strange!

Okay, I’d like to get off this emotional roller coaster now, please! I simultaneously want to scream at my RE’s office and hug them forever. They got the call from the facility in charge of the “hatching” and there was a miracle overnight. Four more ended up making it and three of them can get the PGS testing! I’m so thankful we somehow made six embryos, even when they told us that one, maybe two more would be it. I’m back to being teary-eyed, but this time they are very happy tears!

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return

@AlohaKumu I can feel your pain in this whole stupid journey. I'm so sorry for those numbers. I'm not usually the positive one here but my clinic keeps reminding me that it just takes one. Hugs to you and fingers crossed for a day 6 report that is positive!
AFM I can't post or love tit from mobile. grrrrr so now my time is even more limited since I also can't bump from work. SO ANNOYING. I am holding on out testing until Saturday which will be 9dp3dt but I'm totally freaked out so maybe I'll wait until Sunday. Beta is Monday and I need to know what they will say before they call me.

@AlohaKumu sorry for the rough patch girl! It only takes one! Take care of yourself!
im also having issues with love tits!
@purplg8r This RE didn't mention TI as an option, and I didn't think to ask about it. He seemed to be saying that we should go straight to IUI because of my age.
Good luck.
Diagnoses: RPL, Endometriosis, MFI (count, morph, DNI, DNAS, multiple bilateral subclinical varicoceles), low progesterone

@rallykat14 - FX!!! You are strong to hold off on testing!
@rallykat14 I’m hoping for awesome news for you! (I’m totally going to test at least the day before, too.)
I seem to be having the opposite issue as others with logging to The Bump. I can use mobile without a problem, but on the computer it’s like it’s not detecting that I’m logged in. So strange!
