I have baby spit all over my Fitbit band. I forgot to clean it off yesterday and now it's super gross. I guess I know what I'll be doing at work today!
I'm also considering asking my doctor to write me a note saying I have to have ginger ale to sip on at my desk. We're not allowed to have drinks on the floor, and if I'm going to be smelling poop and infection and yummy stuff like that all day, I'm gonna need my ginger ale or risk throwing up or taking a not of breaks.
@izza2 why can't you have any drinks? Even water? I wouldn't be able to handle that. I'd definitely ask your doctor to write you something because pregnant women need extra liquids.
@izza2 What do you do for a living? I would HAVE to request that! No way I would be able to survive that!! @sunshineandwhiskey That sounds WONDERFUL! I wanted to wear PJs today too...let's be real, I didn't even want to come to work today.
AFM I had some more weird, very vivid violent dreams last night. This week is going to be busy at work! It'll be good to pass the time for our appointment Thursday, but that means I'm going to be exhausted in the evenings.

"Dear Lord, I would have loved to have held my babies on my lap & tell them about you, but since I didn't get the chance, would you please hold them on your lap & tell them about me?" All are welcome!
Waking up for work this morning was hard. I seriously thought about calling in but stopped myself because I figured there will be a day in the near future that I will actually need to be off.
On a different note, I will be 6 weeks tomorrow! I don't remember being so nervous for my first doctor appointment when I was pregnant with DS. I still have 3 weeks til then.
Ever since I got my BFP our list of projects to get done around the house, that we just bought in June, has grown exponentially. It also really irks me because I don't like feeling like a frail little bunny that can't do anything. MH and I have started a google doc of all the things and when they need to be completed by.

Last night I had my first vivid pregnancy dream and it was about my coworker having to share his office and the break room on another floor running out of half-and-half. My subconscious is not a creative person.

Huh. Last night I had this really vivid nightmare in which I was home alone with my daughter and strangers kept knocking on my front door, finally one came in and pulled out a gun and I woke myself up. It didn't occur to me it might have been a pregnancy dream. I'd rather have had yours lol.
@marcus7676@sunshineandwhiskey@PatientlyWaiting10 - I work in a hospital, so the regulation is that you can't have a drink in a "patient care area", and management decides what is/isn't a patient care area. We have a nurse's station/telemetry (heart monitor) tech station that's kind of the "hub" of our unit, and I was assigned to sit there and watch the monitors today. I've worked there almost 4 years and I've never had a patient come in the station and need care, so it's really not a "patient care area", but since management said it is... we're technically not supposed to have drinks.
I've been written up for having drinks there before, and I'd take it again. We usually end up hiding them behind the computer or in one of the drawers and drinking them when we know management isn't around.
But anyway. I snuck my ginger ale in and hid it in the corner and figured if anyone said anything I'd plea the fifth.
I went to town to go grocery shopping with a new driver! The trip today, which previously took over and hour and a half one way (because our previous driver doesn't understand how physics and boat shape and motors work apparently) took 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back!! It was amazing. I shopped for food stuff and then found a dentist office open!! WITH a dental hygienist there today!! I haven't had my teeth cleaned professionally in almost 5 years. It was glorious and now I know she's there and it was only $60... I'll be dragging DH next and then the mini humans ($30 each for them). I also totally stocked my chest freezer and chest fridge with food for a month and will be doing this week's freezer meals tomorrow, already wrote up the list. I feel so accomplished today. OH and I managed to smash the bejeezus out of my knee this evening and it's throbbing as I lay here.
So I don't know if this even a thing or not, maybe TMI.. but does anyone else notice their leg/pubic hair getting thicker or coarser during pregnancy? I cannot for the life of me shave anymore because every time I do I get the WORST razor bumps. I've tried different brands of razors, nothing helps. Just me?
I only use a double edge safety razor now with a brand new razor and a thick bar soap lather...and haven't had problems since. I have noticed my leg hair looks darker btw... And I've just thrown in the towel for the nether regions since pg... Because the reality is I won't be able to reach it in a few months anyway.. I may trim it up soon. We'll see what I feel like.. Hahahhaha. Though one pregnancy I made DH do it for me once. Lmao.
@zamora_spin a lot of it involves painting. Regular latex paint is pretty low VOC so if you wear a respirator and have the windows open it would probably be fine but I guess it’s just my time to sit back and Netflix binge while MH does the work.
But we did just finish putting in the closet system that I have been wanting. Got a sick deal at a home outlet! So I organized all the clothes and got rid of all the plastic hangers for slim felt ones

@marcus7676 this is my pride and joy. It retails at HD for $170 but we found what we thought was the narrower version (would only fit one stack in the center) for $50 at an outlet store. Opened it up and it was the wide one that we wanted all along. You never know if there are going to be issues with missing parts or damage from the outlet and there were no issues! I'm just so excited!
Also if you want to change your life, switch from plastic hangers to the no slip slim ones.

16 year old me would be shaking my head right now at this conversation @krashke . We are renovating our third floor to create a master bath / suite / closet (although the closets are going to be small). I may have to get these hangers though. Something to ask for for Christmas . . .
@marcus7676 I never thought I would get so much joy out of my closet. Should we talk about mortgages and retirement accounts next? lol
FYI, I asked for the hangers for probably 3 years for Christmas, even gave links the the ones on Amazon I wanted. Didn't get them. Finally found these at Costco for $10 for a box of 35. I got three boxes and used every last hanger...might need to get one more or pair down some more clothes. Or get one more.

@krashke I could talk for hours about mortgages (but really don't want to!) since we just bought a new house (and yet, my husband is trying to refi our HELOC again). My ILs are costco members so perhaps these hangers might be a good gift suggestion. On the upside though, pregnancy will help you pair down your closet since most of these clothes won't fit come January. Instead, you'll have 3 pairs of pants and 5 shirts that you wear.
@krashke That makes sense about the fumes. I was thinking maybe it was lifting/activity related and was going to say, everyone should do whatever makes them most comfortable (I will probably be unreasonably cautious about everything for the foreseeable future) but my sister is a physical therapist and was still lifting/assisting her pediatric patients until just a few weeks before her due date. But fumes, yeah, I think better safe than sorry. Definitely love the closet. I use those hangers (maybe not exactly the same ones but slim velvet no slip) and I get them at TJMaxx/Marshalls/Homegoods. May not be quite as good a deal as yours but easy to find if someone doesn't have Costco around.
@krashke they've been painting the hallways in our apt building for two months (how??) and the smell is driving me crazy. They say it's low VOC but even so. I'm hoping they're done when we get back from CA.... wahhhh
@zamora_spin a lot of what I found against painting while pregnant was when you are further along, the repetitive motion and up and down on a ladder aren't advisable. But better safe than sorry.
@doxiemoxie212 TWO MONTHS! I would be so frustrated! Hopefully the fumes aren't getting into your apartment. Maybe bring some of the masks you got for CA back home with you. I would complain and be like "I'm with child!" although I was joking with MH about saying "I'm with zygote!"

@krashke no it makes our whole apartment reek. It's terrible. I've complained but they don't care. Our building is like 27 floors, 25 apts on each floor so even though it's an owner building (not rental) they dgaf. What bothers me more is that SOMEONE keeps smoking cigarettes and it comes in through our bathroom vent, but the building refuses to help me find out who it is. I can't smell it in the hallway so I think it's from another floor. But that's a rant for another day...
Here’s my random: I can’t wait until there’s a July 2018 board - it always makes me feel so much further along when our BMB is no longer the newest one lol
@Miz_Liz - plus it should bring on a new batch of special snow flakes that to hopefully take some of the attention off our board that we are getting from other places. Haha
