Trouble TTC

Newbie here TTC and going for testing. Loss and previous child mentioned

Hello all,
I am new here and hoping to find some women that can relate and give me guidance and personal experience.
I joined this group after searching the web and fertility forums for what seems like countless hours and months with still no luck putting my mind at ease.
A little backstory about me:
I am 25, will be 26 next month. My husband and I have one child who is 5 years old. Conceived after 8 months of trying, no signs of fertility issues, no complications during the pregnancy or delivery. Was on birth control following delivery until April 2016. Conceived baby #2 in July 2016 which ended in miscarriage at 6w1d in August 2016. We have been trying actively since the mc with no luck.
Following the mc, I bled for 3 weeks and about week 4 the Dr confirmed the mc was complete via HPT and blood work. I did not have a d&c as they classified it as a natural mc. My cycles returned about 7 weeks after the mc and have been weird ever since. I called the Dr to which the triage nurse always told me what I was experiencing was "normal." My gut told me it was not normal but I waited until my annual to talk with my actual dr who confirmed i have many red flags.
I have never stopped clotting following the mc (this was not part of my normal cycles before mc.)
I cramp constantly, some days it hurts to stand and is hard to function. Feels like someone is stretching my insides and just pulling, pain in my ovaries, abdomen and over all stomach a lot like the mc cramps.
My cycles are what I consider irregular for me. I can pinpoint a day i should start but it can come 7 days early to 12 days late and anywhere in between, sometimes spotting for 4-5 days before an actual flow starts. A lot heavier in flow also, or rollercoaster type flow. Usually lasting anywhere from 7-13 days flow.
Noticing more hair in my breast area, happy trail, and seems like my hair on my upper lip grows a lot faster and darker now.
My Dr is sending me for a saline sono on the 24. Anyone have one of these done? What should I expect? Also any of the above symptoms and then a diagnosis?
Dr said women in my age range who have a previous full term pregnancy  should go on to conceive in a year. And says I'm showing signs of possible endometriosis or PCOS. Going to check for cysts, fibroids, polyps etc. Hopong someone can give a little insight on what to expect and if you've been here.
Thanks in advance to all the answers and for reading my novel

  • I am sorry you have to be hear but glad you joined us.  I am sorry for your loss and the trouble you have been having.  I do not have similar symptoms... DH and I have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility.  Its good that you are getting tested and have a dr who didn't just dismiss your symptoms like the triage nurse did.  GL with your sono. I hope you get your answers.

  • I'm sorry that you find yourself here and for your loss. I did have an SHG. Pretty easy procedure and hopefully will give you the answers you are looking for.
  • I am so sorry that you are experiencing this.  I'm praying for you.  I am experiencing infertility that is a result from PCOS.  I see a PCOS specialist who is helping get it under control so that we can try again in a few months.  There are lots of success stories of women who have PCOS and have gone onto have perfectly healthy pregnancies.  I did get pregnant on clomid but miscarried.  Once I found the specialist, she said that until I get my levels at a certain level, I would miscarry again even if I got pregnant on clomid.  My advice to you would be to really start watching what you eat and ask your doctor about getting you on a good diet and if it's PCOS, ask about a good PCOS diet.  I'm praying for you girl.
  • Thank you all! I will update once I know more next week!
  • Any updates sweetie?
