Re: High Risk Check-In w/o 10/10
Why are you high-risk? I will be considered high risk until my anatomy scan. Last pregnancy I had a double lobe placenta and a marginal insertion of the umbilical cord.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Had a blood draw yesterday. Calling the doc today.
Any concerns/news currently? Nope. Just nervous.
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today? I'm just excited. I'm trying to enjoy it even though I feel like crap. It will most likely be my last pregnancy if everything goes well.
GTKY: What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. Visit Iceland
2. Do a cross country road trip with kids
3. Swim with Stingrays

Why are you high-risk? RPL-5 miscarriages, low progesterone
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Had progesterone tested yesterday after a week of supplementing, went from 16 to 20. Thankful it went up, but curious to know if my doctor will want me to bump up my dosage.
Any concerns/news currently? nope
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today? I am still pregnant, feeling pretty good for the most part, not spotting.
GTKY: What are the top three things on your bucket list? This is a tough one!
1. Go to Australia
2. Travel to Montana/Wyoming with the kids so they can see God's beauty in that part of the country and the mountains.
3. Either work in a more flexible position or freelance of some kind so I can be at home more with the kids.
@sunshineandwhiskey I had a marginal insertion of the umbilical cord with DS also! I had never heard of it before and they didn't see it in any of the ultrasounds/scans prior to birth. I was just very surprised when the doctor said he was going to send it to pathology for review. I'd LOVE to hear more about your story and what it meant for your pregnancy! I swam with stingrays in Grand Cayman when I was in tenth grade. It was kind of a rush and at the same time I don't think I fully appreciated it; the danger or the beauty.

@sunshineandwhiskey So interesting. The pathologist didn't see any sign of vasa previa with mine, but said there was extreme marginal insertion. Our little guy was born at 36+6 and was 5 lbs. 13 oz. When I was reading on google (I know) about marginal insertion I was thankful that he was born early with the risks associated to it, even though the risks aren't the same as vasa previa. Still scary. I will definitely be asking the u/s tech to check the cord and insertion and what not during our anatomy scan this time around!! Even though there's not really anything they can do about it, except just monitor it.

Why are you high-risk? I had a LEEP a few years ago that left me with an incompetent cervix. I ended up going 41 weeks with my first, so we will see what they have to say this time around.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Not yet. Last time they started scaring the crap out of me around 12 weeks.
Any concerns/news currently? No
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today? Still too soon!
GTKY: What are the top three things on your bucket list? Travel to Australia. Drawing a blank for 2 more!
Why are you high-risk? Infertility (~8yrs), 3 losses, including hosp/surgery for a severely ruptured ectopic (2012). This is now the longest I've carried.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Not until Thanksgiving and it's driving me nuts! I just want to see it, hear a heartbeat and know that it's ok.
Any concerns/news currently? Blood tests are all looking good, but still nervous and having anxiety dreams every night this week.
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today? I have a very easy/flexible work schedule that's allowed me to rest often. Plenty of nausea reminding me baby is there, but haven't barfed on myself/others yet.
GTKY: What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. Europe/NZ/roadtrips with my future kids
2. Hiking mountains someday with my neice (Born 8/20!)
3. Get storybooks published
Why are you high-risk? Low progesterone, Hx. of preeclampsia and abnormalities.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? I go back for a third ultrasound on Tuesday (I'll be 7 weeks then). They have me on progesterone supplementation twice a day because my level was 10 with my beta draws. My hcg was low and didn't double either but we've been grateful to have seen a heartbeat twice now.
Any concerns/news currently? with the constant spotting I'm just always nervous about going in to my apt and not seeing the hb.
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today? I keep trying to remind myself that all the nausea I feel is a GOOD thing.. and that for today, I'm pregnant.. we've seen LO'a heart beat and are so grateful because it's what I'm holding onto through all the anxiety.
GTKY: What are the top three things on your bucket list?
2. Finish my Masters
3. Go to Europe!
