I have a consultation with the midwife tomorrow, but probably not going to have an appointment until we get back from our honeymoon, mid November. I'll be like 16 weeks then.
Wow @ivyvines6 I need to take patience lessons from you
I'm avoiding medical care because of ptsd issues... Also, not super excited about the timing of this pregnancy, so once some of the other things that are on my plate are gone, I'll be able to focus positive attention to it.
First visit is Thursday morning! I'm excited! And, H is off work this week for "fall break" (he's a teacher at a school district with obscure holidays) and he is coming with all the kids to see the baby! I'm so excited they get to see it!
Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat) DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18 FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!
@mommabmb I got so confused when you said your husband is a teacher and is bringing "all the kids" to your appointment, I toooootally thought you meant the kids in his class!! Until I remembered you're one of the STM+ on the board LOL

@sandbar517 LOL- yes, he is home with all four kids this week on "fall break". Not sure I'm ready for 173 teenagers to come to an appointment with me!!!

Appt to transfer me from my RE to my OB is tomorrow morning. I'm so anxious I'm barely functional today. I'm so scared something will be wrong even though I've had no indication of such like I did last time. Can't wait for it to be over.
LOL @mommabmb and @sandbar517 When I was pregnant with DS, my 11th grade SpEd English class had 10 boys in it who were all weirdly fascinated with my pregnancy and wanted to see all the ultrasound photos and would always ask me about the appointments. They were constantly suggesting names and made sure when I went on leave to send in baby pictures and let them know when the baby was born. It was kind of adorable.
Appt today! It was so relieving and I had to try hard not to get emotional. Measuring 10+1 but that's just two days ahead of O and last period so we're keeping the same due date. Strong heart beat of 176. DH is in love and so am I.
Appointment with my OB today. The ultrasound tech didn't have an appointment right after me so she let me see baby's head, spine, and then watch all the wiggles and movements. It was so cool.

@ivyvines6 I’m using a midwife too! Have you used one before? This is my first pregnancy using one. I had a meet and greet at the end of Sept and then my first appointment with them is the end of Oct.
I had an ultrasound today with the OB that works with their group. Everything looked good! I had some spotting last week so it was a pretty big relief. Heart rate was strong at 164 bpm
I just had a pregnancy confirmation appointment and ultrasound is in two weeks.... why are confirmation appointments a thing? Like here pee in a cup and let me give you a bunch of info on genetic testing... see you in a few weeks. Anyways glad it's Over because I kept thinking I would get there pee in the cup and they would tell me it was negative and to go home.

We had our consultation today, and it seems like a much better fit for me than the obgyn route last round. We won't be starting with them until we come back from our honeymoon mid November, but she let us listen to the heartbeat today and I cried so much afterwards. LO's heartbeat was also in the 160's.
@ivyvines6 I felt the same way after my consultation in Sept. She literally sat and chatted with me for 25 minutes about their practice, how they do things, answering my questions... and best part was she wasn’t trying to rush out the door! I’ve never gotten that much face time in with an obgyn. It was great.
Congratulations on hearing the heart beat!! It’s always such a relief.
Re: Weekly Appointments Week of 10/9
