Spotting on clomid?

This is my first time taking clomid 50mg days 5-9. RE has me doing OPKs for this first cycle, other than that, no monitoring (I know the risks). It is now day 19 and I have not have a positive. I have lots of abdominal bloating, pressure, twinges of pain (very tolerable), and just started spotting today. I have never spotted this early in my cycle. Is it possible the opk didn't catch my lh surge and I'm ovulating? Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
