Hi mamas, Does anyone have any cold remedies that actually help? Tylenol and Benadryl seem to be it besides basic homeopathic cures. Chicken soup and oj, etc.. And Go!
Sorry ladies, it's true I don't participate in posting that much. No need to be rude. I come here to find help when need be and I do contribute when I think it may be useful. Awesome to find such a warm bunch of women this morning. Thanks so much

Sorry, @skuleecat. Let's be honest about how much and what type of participation you've had. You responded once on the symptoms thread on July 24 with a simple "Same!! Can't win!" Then September 19, you posted a thread about your back. Everyone was nice and helped you out while you were down. You responded about that twice. Add it all up and that's not exactly, "I don't participate in posting that much." or "I do contribute when I think it may be useful." That's "I basically never post when it's not about me."
It's okay if you're not available to participate in a community. But, that does mean that you can't expect the community to jump when you need something. Especially if you can't even put it in the thread it goes in. That's just not how The Bump works. There are other places, such as Google, the search function here, and responses to your own past posts to turn to. Here you need to give support to get support.

Since you came her to find help, I'm still curious if your post from Nov 2015 is helpful to you or not.
I am just going to answer this in the event someone is legitimately curious...all medications otc or prescription should be approved by your healthcare professional. Prevention is also key. Good handwashing, healthy diet, and adequate sleep all help to keep your immune system in top shape. I also take probiotics daily to help with my immune system. Elderberry syrup can help in prevention, but I haven't run that by my OB yet, so don't trust me on whether it's safe. Natural doesn't always mean safe in pregnancy
@lund Yes actually it was. Thank you, I appreciate that. I didn't know you could pull up old threads. Obvi I'm a novice to this app. No need for a snarky reply to this please because I am genuinely grateful to have the link
In case anyone comes here looking for actual advice on dealing with colds, I'll repost the summary from what I put under symptoms.
PSA - if you *need* cold meds, ask your pharmacist for the pseudoephedrine. The OTC stuff on the shelves is not ok for pg. (I don't know if the law is the same in Canada.)
