Saturday Ticker Change 9/30

What's up, ladies!? I'm going to switch up the questions a little this week. Hope you don't mind! Feel free to answer the standard questions as well if you'd like.

1. How many weeks pregnant are you now?
What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?

2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?

3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc)

4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?

5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?

  • Thanks for starting this @muskratbaby

    1. How many weeks pregnant are you now?
What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?  I'm 29 weeks and I think my favorite month was around month 5.  By then my nausea had mostly subsided and I was feeling lots of movement, but I didn't feel as big as a house!

    2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?
    Are kicks/movements a symptom?  I pick that!

    3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc).
Hmm I can't really say anybody surprised me.  There are several people in my life that have been amazing, but I knew they would be - that's why I keep them around in the first place!

    4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?
Hmm I guess my baby shower, which is one week from today...although I'm mostly nervous about that!

    5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?
    Nutella!

I love the new questions! Also I'm on mobile so I apologize.

     1. How many weeks pregnant are you now? What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far? 28 wk, favorite months have been the last 2. Now that I'm getting bigger and everything hurts, this all started happening in the last couple days.

     2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far? I had an increased sex drive. So I think DH also liked that. I also love all the movement, most of the time, sometimes he feels like a frog who won't quit.

Ugh the whole thing didn't post. Mobile is the worst.

    3. So no one really surprised me, but my bestie gave us matching Muggle shirts for my big and soon to be little, as well as a CD with the music of Tool in lullaby form. She did similar things last time, she's the best.

    4. I'm looking forward to the month of October, DDs birth month!

  • 1. How many weeks pregnant are you now? What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?
    30 weeks.
I think this month (the 7th) has been my favorite, since I only got over constant morning sickness in the last 2 weeks. It's also nice to feel the baby move so much.

    2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?

    Getting kicked!  Lol.

    3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc)

My FIL wants to buy us a new furnace.  I'm not surprised that his behavior is generous, just the mammoth size of his generosity!

    4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?

    Getting over this cold (hopefully!)

    5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?
Chocolate milk?  I've been off of sweets for the most part, which is weird because normally I have a monster sweet tooth.
  • @Kirss that Tool lullaby CD sounds amazing lol.
@muskratbaby Great questions! Thanks for switching it up a little!

    1. How many weeks pregnant are you now? What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?
28w1d. That's hard because there have been pros and cons to all of them. I really enjoyed telling friends and family I was pregnant with twins in May and June (so 2nd/3rd m, but it was also stressful until mid June because of the anxiety of just wanting to make it through the first trimester.

    2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?

Another vote here for the kicks (though not really sure that counts as a symptom). Also, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure my leg hair has started growing slower, so that's a nice perk since shaving sucks!

    3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc)

My cousin has given us TONS of useful hand-me-downs. She's saved us a ton of money.

    4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?

The Jewish harvest festival, Sukkot, starts this week and my family always throws a fun party every year for it with great food! So I'm looking forward to that!

    5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?
Ummm... all of them lol?! I love sweets in general. I made a pretty amazing monkey bread yesterday to break the fast for Yom Kippur (though I didn't actually fast this year because of the pregnancy). Here's the recipe if anyone's interested. It was super easy and delicious and my family basically inhaled it:  https://cincyshopper.com/easy-monkey-bread/

Glad you like the new questions, leilagphillips

    1. How many weeks pregnant are you now? What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?
I am 27 weeks pregnant, and I would agree with @Amber_Waves my favorite month is probably this one, month 7, so far. I had a rough patch there about a month ago where a large fibroid was causing me pain and contractions. Now that that ordeal is over, I feel like I've really "settled" into my pregnancy. I still have hormonal crazy moments, but I guess I'm just sort of used to all of the pregnancy symptoms, and know better how to manage them.

    2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?

I love how pregnancy changes how people look at me. I look really young for being over 30, so this matures me in some way. Also, I just love all of the community spirit that it brings out in neighbors, friends, etc. I am really going to miss that "symptom" if it doesn't last. Other than that, I would say feeling my little girl move like crazy is just so exciting. Everything else around me fades away when she's moving and shaking.

    3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc)
My neighbors have really surprised me, because they have offered tons of advice and concern, have been spending more time with us, and gave us maternity and baby clothes and furniture. I did not expect most of that stuff, and it just makes me love my neighborhood even more.

    4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?
My mom is flying in on Thursday, and together we are driving to my in-laws for my baby shower on Sunday. I just found out that several of my aunts and cousins are coming, too! It is rare for me to see family as much as I have this year, but thanks to weddings, funerals, and baby stuff, it has been a banner year for family time!

    5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?
I was craving chocolate milk during my first tri, just like you, @Amber_Waves, but now I'd say ice cream has been my go-to dessert once or twice a day. I had a brief obsession with all-things-pumpkin, but that passed. Can you tell I am a dessert hound??

Have a great week, everyone! <3
  • Thanks for starting this @muskratbaby!
Apparently, I'm always going to be late for this, since our weekends are packed these days!

    1. How many weeks pregnant are you now?
What has been your favorite month of pregnancy so far?
    30 weeks.

Hmm.. this might be my favorite month now.  I've learned how to cope and work on the hip pain to some degree, and chiro and yoga are both helping with that.  It's just feeling so real, and I am still feeling emotional, but I am feeling more able to go along with the emotions and experience them.  I also just love the fall, and everything feels vibrant and beautiful around me too.
I'm having less wakefulness in the middle of the night and insomnia as well, for now. :)

    2. What have been your favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far?

I'll go with the popular one and say all of the kicks and movements.  It really is just amazing.

    3. Who in your life has surprised you the most with their generosity during your pregnancy? (advice, gifts, general support, etc)

My parent friends who have given us useful advice, great hand me downs, and pretty much my whole maternity wardrobe (some of it hand me down, some of it on loan). Also a close friend couple with a 6 month old has had the best advice and we've also hung out with and babysat for their kiddo a few times which helps them and also helps us feel like we're learning a bit about baby care!  She is just adorable.

    4. What are you looking forward to in the next week?

@leilagphillips - sukkot is one of my favorites too! enjoy the celebration.

We have a bat mitzvah Saturday morning at shul, and dance party celebration for the bat mitzvah that evening.  It's for the daughter of our friends- the whole family plays in a local klezmer band and other musical endeavors, so I know the music and dancing is going to be wonderful.  I really can't wait- I want to dance!  I do a really silly waving around the bump dance at home for DW, but might keep that one private. lol.

    5. What has been your favorite dessert during pregnancy?
    Ice cream for sure!
