That wrecking ball costume is amazing lol! I got this shirt and plan to wear it to any Halloween events and to work on Halloween. I'm a little worried my bump's going to be too big for it by the time it's Halloween though!
I so want to do a fun, clever pregnancy costume, buuut I'll just be at home handing out candy and I'm lazy so I'm going to wear the t-shirt I bought that has the jack-o-lantern face over the bump!
I'd like to dress up even if I only go somewhere for a little while. I saw a cute gumball machine costume where the belly is the gumball filled part and a red flared skirt.
We have our last birthing class that night smack dab in the middle of trick-or-treating hours. If I come across a festive shirt I might wear it to the class but most of the ones at Motherhood last time I looked were lame.
I work at a high school and we take Halloween pretty seriously! I might go as a road bump or a pin cushion (I'm a seamstress!). My coworker thought of a punny one for me--a pregnant pause (putting paw prints on the pregnant belly) but I don't think people will get it.
I was going to have DD go as a penguin, but Marshall's has these amazing vest costumes for toddlers that are so easy to wear and she fell in love with the unicorn (with wings) so I might just do that for her.
All DH & I do is stay home & watch horror movies while handing out candy, but I still insist on going all-out on costumes every year. I'm a bit of a nut about Halloween and can't wait to have a son to add to family-themed costumes (until he's old enough to hate them)!
This year I'm going as Juno and (hopefully) DH will be Paulie Bleeker. I'll have to come up with something for the cats, they're lucky enough to be included in my madness, too. Maybe an orange tic-tac and a cheeseburger phone. Hah!
@ktcakes87 LOVE your wrecking ball costume, so funny!
@djd0404 I love the Juno costume idea, especially the inclusion of the cats! I hope you shake your cheeseburger phone cat a few times to get the full effect of the movie lol.
I will probably just get a pumpkin shirt. I've been ignoring my husband, who is probably 85% kidding but keeps saying he wants to go as James and the giant peach. Guess who's the peach...
Hubby is Peter Pan, baby girl is Tinkerbell, and I'm a (pregnant) Wendy. I didn't think about the Wendy implications until after we already bought the costumes. Too late now!
For her school party, she's going as a unicorn. So cute.
I'll probably just throw on my pink ladies jacket. DS is 18 months so we might hit up the neighbor's houses on Halloween, but we'll just be handing out candy for the most part. We do hope to make it to boo at the zoo though. He is going to be a lion.
@failuretofly i got mine on Amazon. I just seatches maternity Halloween shirts lol. And voila! I got one that has 2 pumpkins on the belly. Hopefully it still fits by then!
I'm excited because I have an ob check-up that afternoon so I get to go home early and get ready for the trick-or-treaters -- It seems like every year I'm scrambling to get out there by the time our neighborhood starts! Our neighborhood has this weird thing where you have to be out on the porch or the kids won't come up. Still a head-scratcher to me (grew up with just making sure the porch light was on) but we've adjusted.
As an adult I've never been one to dress up; we just try to make the porch inviting with candles and halloween lanterns and pumpkins/squash, and I buy waaaaay too much candy. I have definitely been pinning costume ideas for little ones in the future - this is my fave!

I'd like to get a cute skeleton bump shirt (because I'm lazy). I looked at amazon but I'm not really loving any of them. Any other great place to find one?

DS will be dressing up as a bear, and the costume I got him is legitimately the cutest thing ever and I wish he could live in it lol

Here it is:

(And for the record it is $19.99 at Marshall's which is about my limit for spending on a halloween costume!)

@andipandicWed121369 I got my twin skeleton shirt off Zulily for about $15.
ETA: The fabric was super soft and I'm probably going to wear the shirt around the house before/after Halloween.
