Our basement has been full of random boxes and stuff with zero organization (and we moved into our house 2.5 years ago...). This weekend we put up a huge section of shelving and got sh*t put away. It looks so much better. I'm hoping the basement can someday be a play area because our house is pretty small.
I also went through boxes of old teaching stuff I've had packed away for like 7 years. Am I the only teacher who has a hard time throwing stuff away?

Cleaned my house top to bottom yesterday which was a huge accomplishment. Today my win is that I brought my toddler to my parents. He's now playing with them while I sit here on my phone having a break. It's great!
Cleaned my entire house yesterday- did all the laundry- took all my canned stuff to the basement that has been sitting for a week or 2. Then when I went to pick DS up from school my car died:(. So, today I had to clean my car out and DH got me a Buick Enclave to test drive for the weekend. We have done almost nothing the rest of the day and it feels great.
my MIL is here all weekend and I have to work. ill take that as a win. I just can't handle her right now. DH brought her to a ball game today and they are gong to my parents house for a bbq tomorrow. I skip it all and they come home with dinner for me.
I'll spend some time with her Monday before she flies out, but mostly - I got to skip the whole event.
I do fell slightly guilty for sharing this as a win.... but I just cannot deal right now.
@becausescience I cleaned it really well before my parents came down a week ago. But I haven't done anything since they left on Wednesday. Not even the dishes. I just lit some candles in the kitchen so make myself feel like my house smells nice.
I'm calling my oversupply of candles my weekend win.
@becausescience I’m licensed, but SAH. I’ve never put my license to use aaaaand...... I have 3 totes of college books/notes, a few rows of shelving in my basement storage room filled with classroom decor and other miscellaneous stuff, and my book collection is absolutely ridiculous.
My gut tells me I may decide to never head into my own classroom and DH will totally be irritated by everything I’ve kept over the years.
Someone will enjoy my garage sale when that day comes??
I've been working on a community project - a free one-stop shop resource hotline for moms to get paired up with a buddy to walk them through the journey. Nothing like it exists down here and I so desperately wanted this when I had my son.
So, I set up a website (it's a mess and really very bad but it's up!!!), an email address, domain, web chat and all that good stuff. I did it!!
Weekend Win for Everybody: Apparently some group predicted the world would end today. I mean I guess there is still time, but it doesn't seem like it is happening...

Two out of two children have all their finger/toenails clipped, and four out of four of us have all their laundry done and put away. Both things I hate doing. Major win.

I put makeup on yesterday for a birthday party. also paid someone to clean my house because I don't have the time, energy or motivation to do it myself. Gonna make tacos tonight. Also I'm #1 in my work fantasy football league at the moment. Winning...winning all over the place.
My husband and I didn't have to go to work today! We got one day off this week! I even put on a little make-up for the first time in....forever, and we went out to Chili's to watch some football. Win and win

I've never clipped my toddlers nails. Not once. Nada, zilch. They break off on their own and stay a nice length. Apparently it's common with IUGR kids. I guess this is my win
@ShawnnaO You know I did!!! We destroyed those chips. Then we had to get some of those southwestern egg rolls... WIN! The only sucky thing was watching everyone else at the bar drinking... and me sitting over there with my water.

I'm calling that a perpetual win.

i feel like I’m due for a break and I’m taking it.
