Great news this morning! We found a new contractor who can start our kitchen remodel Friday and will have it done in 3 weeks for less than HALF what our original contractor was charging! We had a feeling we were getting hosed, and we got a couple of bids this week from other people, and sure enough, we were being WAAAAAAY overcharged. This new guy has done work for many people we know, and his work looks great. Win win! Now I get to fire my original contractor today and give him a piece of my mind. I can't freaking wait. Winning Wednesday alllllll around!!!!!
Winning Wednesday! I offered to promote one of my employees to be my assistant and she accepted! Wahoo now I can train her to cover for me when I'm on maternity leave. A big weight off my shoulders.
WW! I can participate in team lunch! It's Greek today, so I could find options that meet my GD diet and not sit there listening to yummy sounds while eating my vastly less interesting lunch. So excited.
WW- DH comes home from his business trip tonight! He's been gone since Friday morning, and I'm so excited to be relieved of 2x/day dog walks and to have help around the house again. I always forget just how much he does around the house until he's gone and I'm stuck doing everything with massive pregnancy fatigue. After working a full day. Ugh.
Also, two more work days, then I get to leave town for my baby shower over the weekend. Plus, I'm getting a mani/pedi with my MIL this weekend- her treat! I'm beyond ready for some pampering.
@breezybee can you send them to my house when their done?! My husband, father and FIL are all sort of tag-teaming our kitchen reno and my husband told me two weeks ago before really even starting that he thought it would be mid-december by the time it's finished. I was ready to FREAK OUT. Luckily he's made a lot more progress in the last two weekends than I think he thought he would and we're starting on the floor and upper cab install this weekend. Maybe we'll have a kitchen in time to make some pumpkin pies...
WTF to my dog. I can't stand the sound of a dog 'grooming' themselves. If it's happening while I'm trying to sleep, I just can't fall asleep. So I wake up at 4:45 annnnd of course when I'm trying to go back to sleep, my dog starts doing this. I tried nudging her/telling her to stop/etc but ended up just moving to the guest room. Same dog scratches at the bedroom door (our bedroom--I closed the door so she couldn't follow) at 5:45. So then I get to move back to our room for half an hour until my alarm goes off. Yay.
I know it's Thursday but WTF to the man that was shitting ON THE SIDEWALK. On a residential street. During commute time this morning. My eyes are still burning.
@blueskies17 wtf?? I saw a story the other day about a woman doing the same thing in a neighborhood...they were calling her the Mad Pooper. What the hell is wrong with people?
