Post pithy control ovulation pain

My husband and I are trying to have another baby. I've been off birth control for all of 16 DAYS. I've had uncomfortable cramps for 7 days. According to my monthly menstrural tracker, this week was ovulation week.

Has anyone else experienced ovulation pain for so long? Part of me thinks it's because I've been suppressing ovum release for 3 months, but the other part of me is wondering why I've been cramping for so long. When not on BC, I usually cramp for like a day or maybe two during ovulation but never a week.
