I've never listened to a podcast. They just don't seem like my jam.
I bought those suction cup things off an ad in my Facebook feed. Ya know, the ones that claim to get rid of cellulite. #imasuckerliterally
I stay home with our DD during the week, and I let my dog out only when she is eating. Mostly because then I don't have to deal with her fits when I won't let her go outside. But really it's because I know the dog won't dink around in the yard because he knows she is eating and might drop something for him.
I don't fold DDs laundry anymore. She likes taking it all out. So I just chuck it in the drawers.
Apparently 13 months is when kids become picky eaters. I fed DD a corn dog yesterday because she refused the other three things I made. Which I ended up eating because it was all organic, and that shit is expensive. He corn dog was of course was not.
I also stopped wearing underwear to bed. Getting up to pee 3-4 times a night now, I don't see the point.

My kids are still off school from Irma and I stayed in bed until 9... even though they woke up around 7:30. My 7 year old got out snacks, drinks, and turned on Netflix for herself and the other two. Noone even came in my room to see if I was up or sleeping.
Recently I've woken up so tired that I've been tempted to do the Italian shower from "Eat, Pray, Love," where you wash arm pits and undercarriage and call it a day ("Everything that's important gets washed").
Even more real confession: I did do that one Friday when the appeal of leaving work 30 minutes earlier was greater than the appeal of being freshly showered. I seriously worry about what my hygiene habits will be like when I also have to take care of another human in the morning.

Haha! I'm glad I only work 3 days a week now because I'm pretty sure the lady in the McDonald's drive thru next to my work was starting to recognize me.
Haha I relate to way too many of these! I'm down to showering every three days, if I make it every other it's kind of a major accomplishment. Not proud member of the gross mom club, but I like to think I hide it pretty well.
@meatballs37 DS is 14 months and is all of the sudden a picky eater too. I seriously worry that he doesn't get enough food now and he used to be a bottomless pit who ate anything and everything. The other day I had three bagels over the course of my work day.
I called in sick yesterday and spent the day bingeing Gilmore Girls and knitting.
I ALWAYS prioritize more sleep over shower, have started showering at night but not every night.... Already a big fan of face wipes and dry shampoo...
@psm2462 I do that a lot, not Wendy's particularly but will leave my brought from home lunch (usually leftovers) for something else to "eat tomorrow" (throw away at the end of the week).

@meatballs37 and @winnie1122 how frustrating! both of mine went through phases of not eating as much food at that age. Mine were still drinking breastmilk so they lived off that and those banana pancakes! 1/2 banana mashed with 1 egg cooked like a pancake. I totally forgot about that stage.

This. I had a similar thing happen at Dairy Queen. I have a blizzard weakness. And those things are calorie bombs! It was kinda good - reduced my habit. A little.
I have a few. I eat two lunches a day....and sometimes a small second dinner. Which leads me to another and totally flammable confession, but I stress over the weight I gain during pregnancy.
My 4 yo is still in pull ups / diapers at night because she can't hold it in still. I literally don't know how to teach her. She's completely potty trained during the day.
I plan on leaving the house as soon as H gets home from work for a mani/pedi. I need me time asap before I flip a table.
@seitzy3 The emails I get from the various apps I downloaded are not helping with my stress over weight gain. Email on Monday: "Your baby needs to grow strong so make sure you pack on the pounds to nourish her growth!" Email on Tuesday: "Gaining too much weight in pregnancy leads to complications so watch what you eat!" Cue the crying while eating.

don't stress over the pullups at night. Some kids are just bedwetters. They grow out of it eventually, my 3rd was still in night time pullups til he was 6 or 7? He's 13 now with no issues. He just needed more time.
@seitzy3 my 4 yr old DS is also still in pull-ups at night. He's getting more frequent dry mornings lately. We bribe him with fruit snacks in the mornings if he wakes up dry.
I guess that that makes my FFFC that I bribe my kids. Wake up dry and get candy for breakfast. Stay on green at school and home and we will read an extra bedtime story etc.
im also in the shower at night every few nights and buy dry shampoo in bulk camp. There are nights when I almost convince myself to go to bed and just wake up and shower in the morning. I never do because I know I'm not going to get up.
@psm2462 My husband is also super judgey about fast food. I can only have it at work and usually pay for it out of cash or with my credit card so he doesn't see it come out of the checking account.

This. I have already said if my baby doesn't have a few rolls I will be sad. It's the only time in life people don't judge you for having them.
I'm having a hard time connecting with this baby (boy) and I hate myself for it. I don't honestly know what my problem is. I wanted a sister for DD but I adore my nephew like my own child so why am I feeling so bummed? I went to buy a few little outfits today at once upon a child before all of the winter stuff gets picked over and it just made me sad. I seriously don't know what's wrong with me and I keep beating myself up over it and making it worse. I seriously feel like I don't deserve this baby.
@SarahFoley725 Oh no, I think you're being way to hard on yourself. I'm a FTM, but if I've learned anything its that lately I feel weird things that I cannot explain and can only contribute to the hormones. I'm having a hard time connecting with my baby boy too. I love the idea of him, but its hard to wrap my brain around him existing. Its tough to explain (and I can't get the stinker to move even a LITTLE SO I COULD FEEL HIM). Anyway, don't beat yourself up.
I totally use that Elf on a Shelf in my preschool classroom. It isn't naughty or do anything crazy--but sometimes brings a craft to do or writes the morning message. I don't make a big deal about it--nor do I threaten students with "telling santa". I just let it ride and see where the peer pressure to be "good" takes things. Flame away girls!
@seitzy3 and @eggplantface I can no longer distinguish between meals. I just eat all day. I totally stress about the weight gain. I used to work out daily. Now I'm lucky if I get to the gym once a week.
In regards to the pregnancy weight gain. I just don't look at the number. I turn around when weighed and they don't tell me. It makes it so much less stressful.

@ash0625 thank you! It's so hard to explain or understand my feelings. It's not like I wish he was going to be a girl instead because I am excited about the little boy I just can't make myself feel the same way I did with DD.
If it makes you feel any better it's still hard to imagine your child existing in real life even after the first time. You have no idea what they're going to look like you have no idea what the personality is going to be like and it's all just a waiting game. Then they're here for five minutes and you don't know how you possibly lived in a world that they didn't exist in.
