@jessnoel89 and I both do LuLaRoe from home and we both love it!
i have friends who do VIPkid which is teaching kids in China English. You don't have to have teaching experience, just a bachelors. I thought about doing that as well...I took 2 years of college Mandarin and never used it so it would be fun for me.
I've been looking for a new job for a while. looking for something from home now lol I'm hoping for more of a telecommute type deal though even if I still have to go in on occasion.
Definitely not qualified for something like VIPkid and, no offense, I really hate LuLaRoe

I work from home doing admissions for an EMT training school. I've done a few other small WFH previously and there's a great website that posts WFH jobs and explains the expectation and reviews the companies. Here's the link if you're interested: https://realwaystoearnmoneyonline.com/
@Poppy0419 I looked a little while ago and I didn't qualify for the @ home positions at the time but that doesnt mean I wouldn't now. I need to look again!

I work from home full time, but my job requires us to have childcare. I'm not sure I could handle working and taking care of my child too, but if you can great! It will save you lots of money cause daycare is no joke!
@Poppy0419 and @jessnoe@jessnoel89 How do you guys plan on continuing your Lularoe business after baby comes? As in, are you going to make any changes to your current schedule or will you keep going at the pace you're at now with parties, online sales, etc.? I'm considering quitting my desk job and selling LLR after baby comes. Do you think it'll be too stressful initially starting out with a 3 year old and a newborn or totally doable?
Here is some information about an online tutoring program called VIPKID.
I love VIPKID! I've been doing it since January. I teach Chinese students English, via a web-conference/slideshow format. The kids in their culture are so smart and engaged. Sessions are 25 minutes long, with 5 minutes to fill out feedback for parents. So teaching 2 sessions would equal the average hourly pay of 18-22 an hour. You are an independent contractor, so you are responsible for saving for taxes (they say about 20%).
It is so easy! The lessons and units are already planned. You open your availability and on Sunday nights Chinese families can book you for the week ahead. My schedule ALWAYS fills. I teach about 12-15 classes a week (7ish hours), because I am a full time teacher during the school year. In the summer I teach about 20-25 classes a week. Some teachers use VIPKID as their full time job and make a salary comparable to a veteran teacher teaching in a school. The lessons and units are already developed, I just teach the lesson they give me. It is a web video conference, and there is a slideshow that you show to students as you teach. It tells you exactly what to say. They love when teachers are happy, cheerful, and use lots of arm movements to act things out. They also like the use of props which I don't use often. Oops.
China time is 12 hours difference. So working nights and early mornings is typical. No classes will book during our day since they are sleeping. I teach one class in the morning before school, 2 on Friday nights, and 6-8 on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's totally up to you how many classes you teach and what times. Some people teach like 20 classes in a row on a single day. You decide exactly what hours you want to work, and the parents will book you. I've been told over 200,000 kids are in the program, so after a few weeks (after you establish yourself) your time slots will completely book. Around 20,000 US teachers are employed by them. The company prides itself on hiring college educated Americans (bachelor degree is a must) -bonus points if you have a teaching certification.
https://t.vipkid.com.cn/?refereeId=3452886 Use this link to sign up. It will give you preferential treatment in the hiring process. The hiring process is difficult. Usually it starts with an interview and then two mock lessons. Lots of material to look over. But if you get through it, it's really the best job.
@zizzabell523 I'll of course take leave to rest and heal for a bit. But after I'll continue at my own hardcore pace . I babywear to do shipping and take pictures. I'm setting up a playroom in my LuLaRoom. If I'm down to the wire illl give DD her iPad and break my screen time rules.
When DD was younger I hired an assistant and a maid. I haven't needed more help than my husband or mom lately but I will hire out things if it comes to it.
@zizzabell523 I'm sure there will need to be some adjustments however when I started my DS was only two days old so I've been down that path before. Also I'm fortunate enough to have a husband who's a teacher so during the summer I'll have full time help for free! He's pretty much been running things for me this week since I've had the flu/morning sickness which is pretty miserable. In fact he'll be going live for me tonight because I can't even sit up at this point. All that to say he's great helping with the business and with the kiddos so it's a good thing we'll have three months with him home ❤️
@kimber308 this is probably a dumb question lol, but do you need to be able to speak Mandarin to work for that company? And if not, how do you communicate with the kids?
@bluejeanbabi05 NO MANDARIN!! It is an emersion program, meaning teachers can only speak English and use lots of body language. They believe kids learn better that way. Lots of arm movements and speaking slow. The beginning lessons start off with very little language. (Circle, draw, ball, hi, my name is, etc.) Kids catch on fast. The later lessons add in more and more. I just teach what the slides say and assume my student has an ability that matches the lesson. They also have workbooks that match the lessons, so they will have seen and practiced the words in advance.
